Hello! 🙂 I’m an experienced tarot reader, however I’m severely out of practice. I stopped everything witchy several years ago right after my priestess passed away suddenly. I was simply overwhelmed with grief and feeling terribly lost. I guess you can say I went on an extended haitus. I recently pulled my cards out again and wouldn’t ya know it? I seem to have forgotten quite a lot! Lol I’m practicing more now. Hi! My name is Kayla. I've been interested in tarot for a long time now. I bought a deck about a year ago, and messed around a little, but then life got in the way and I shelved it for a little bit. I recently bought a new deck and am feeling more drawn to tarot reading, mainly for myself. I had a reading done by someone a couple of months ago and it was so spot on, it amazed me. So now, I am here, trying to learn and soak up all I can! :)

I think it was around the time that AT ceased that I joined here, but never posted and put away my many cards. 2020 gave me reason to get them out again and a new deck got me excited about reading the cards again.

I've been practicing for almost a year now but with the frequent amount of breaks that I took with my spiritual path it feels like I've only really just started my journey to be honest. Hello, I recently just purchased my own tarot deck. I enjoy getting readings from others and always wanted my own deck so I recently purchased one and still trying to learn about it and how it works. Sometimes I feel like I'm doing it wrong because my cards won't match the answers or so forth... If anyone has any helpful guidance or tips please let me know. Im a little nervous because I am a secular tarot reader. That is to say that I don’t really believe in predicting the future per se, but use the cards as a way of getting in touch with my feelings and inner self. I hope that’s not an issue and that I can still find my place here.

I just picked up a tarot deck the other week and thought I’d try learning how to read them. I’m hoping I can find some exercises or exchange partners on here so I can practice. I tried Reddit but it’s mostly flooded with people asking for money to read for you, so I didn’t think it was worth posting there. Glad I found this place! I have the Mythic Tarot Deck and used to read for friends and family A LOT .I also used to attend circles regularly . ….but then I had children and responsibilities and my enthusiasm tailed off. Well it’s currently morning in New Zealand 🙂 I’m a philosopher (I did my doctorate in Ethics) and my interest in Tarot is primarily the philosophy behind the cards (those ‘deep dive’ into a single card are fascinating!). I’n also (unsurprisingly) interested in the ethics of Tarot reading (I’ve noted a lot of sites seem to confuse ethics with a codified set of rules) looking forward to some interesting discussions and hoping my slant adds something to the forums. I have always harboured the desire to learn Tarot, but never acted on it until I lost my baby sister this year. Her loss has inspired me to live my life to the fullest, and that includes embracing my interests and things that feel right for me. I currently only read for myself as I'm still so new to it.
