I saw a thread on here last year discussing tarot and Myers-Brigg types. I am curious if I wanted to take it deeper and not rely on the matching that has already been done, what sort of questions would be useful to ask my deck. I know there is a lot of debate about personality tests and I am far from an expert or have enough knowledge to engage, but I find them useful as guiding posts to frame my strengths and weaknesses and look at areas I need to develop. I know as an ISTP I need to strengthen my empathy skills. I am curious how tarot can help facilitate going deeper with personality. I searched a bit and didn't find an answer to my question and do hope this is the rig…

The other day, I mistook my own fears as intuition. I decided on a situation after seeing the cards, as they stated some kind of fear. Reading on I realised that the rest of the cards talked about a different scenario. In the past I’ve had quite a few experiences where my intuition led me to do some unexplainable things, because it felt important, and they always have been. But after this experience I’m starting to wonder if I can’t separate my intuition from my feelings. Anyways have anyone else had this problem, and how did you learn to distinguish them?

I'm thinking about ordering an indie deck from overseas. The limit for how much you can spend before you have to pay import tax on goods you order from online isn't very high in my country so I know this deck + shipping will be over that limit. Basically I wonder which "genre" or type of goods tarot decks are shipping as? I know books are free to import and that is the closest thing I can think of to tarot decks. I figure there might not be many other Norwegians in this group but the rest of you might know what it could say on the label ;D Oh, and it's littleredtarots shop I'm thinking of ordering from.

How could I give free practice readings to people to develop my current abilities more?

Hi, I was in a car accident a couple of days ago and, of course, I hadn’t rolled the cards beforehand so it came out of the blue. I thought my foot was firmly on the brake, but I was in a car where the brake and accelerator are almost right upon each other and my foot must have slipped. In fact I was so sure my foot was on the brake that I couldn’t figure out what was happening. Long story short, thankfully no one was hurt, but the car’s a mess and needs repairs. How would a car crash appear in a reading? The Chariot reversed seems simplistic, no police were involved, it was on private property, a grocery store parking lot at a low speed, so The Hierophant might no…

Since people have been so kind and helpful with my first ever forum inquiry, I am gonna push my luck and post another, if I may? The Spirit Seeker's Tarot is OOP and going for a small fortune in the resale market. The creator says she won't be reprinting any year soon. An Etsy seller is collabing with Benebell to make tarot tiles. Is a set worth $350 USD? Anyone who has the SK deck wanna chime in and talk about how it reads? Anyone who owns tarot tiles wanna speak to how readings work with tiles over cards? Do you just put them all in a bag and draw like runes?

Hello Tarot Friends, I have been thinking about how 95% of my tarot decks are either RWS based or Thoth based. And I find it all too easy to lean on the standard RWS meanings or the Thoth keywords with those decks. I want to get out of my cage of pre-packaged meaning and into some new symbolism, new territory. Of course, there is always purely intuitive reading, and I am going to do more of that for sure, especially over in the ISG Reading Circle. But I'm interested in deck creators who have developed their own symbolism for the cards. Creators who have lived with the cards long enough that they've developed their own personal understanding of …

I'm not sure if this is the right place to tell everyone - but because the host server is closing down and the software is so archaic it can't easily be moved, Adam McLean has archived it on his own website - so it is all there for reference:.There's a lot of good stuff there. Here.

The Lovers has been showing up frequently for me recently. I’d like to foster a deeper understanding of The Lovers. Concerning choices, the message I see is that there needs to be a balance between logic and intuition. How do you perceive The Lovers card in general? What messages does it reveal to you?

Once I had someone ask me if they should kill themselves following the death of this woman’s husband. She had no one else in the world and she lived in a remote place....here in the desert SW. I told her that I wasn’t in the position to tell her that, but that I could understand her situation. In retrospect, I realize it would’ve been wise to have rolled the cards and engaged in a dialog to see if something more might have come of it. Also, I’ve dealt with depression, anxiety and being very sensitive, so I could empathize and I definitely couldn’t’ judge her for thinking what, in her situation, was a pretty well thought out, rational thought. Has anyone else had a …

Does anybody know how much the Wizards Tarot orig sold for? I like the deck, but there's no app for exploring it. Does anybody have experience with this deck? And if so, what do you think of it? How would you value it? Thank you do much! Rarehare

I'm not sure whether this is the correct section to post this but I couldn't find one that fits the topic, so I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong spot <3 I recently.. well a couple months now.. got a new tarot deck, but every time I do a reading, I always feel like I'm not able to really understand or connect to the cards fully, to be able to understand the answers. Usually I read intuitively, whatever feelings I am getting from the imagery of the cards, or whatever emotions strikes me. When I read with my legacy of the divine deck, I used to be able to connect very quickly and feel at ease trusting whatever I feel from the cards. For this new de…

Hi, So recently I did a reading for myself and asked if I will get into a relationship with a person I was dating. The outcome was ace of swords which left me quite confused. I know all the aces signalize a new begging and if any other ace came out, I’d say it would mean getting into a relationship, but the ace of swords... I just don’t know. This card sometimes confuses me, and now that’s the case. I usually read it as communication, getting new ideas, learning, realizing something, truth coming to light, but what about this ? How to read it regarding this question ? I don’t see it as a relationship card as it’s connected to mental realms and seems cold/neutr…

I picked up a Deckcolor Opaque Black broad-line marker at the suggestion of a local art store clerk . I wish to edge my hand-trimmed travel Thoth. I'm wondering if any of you can share experiences or suggestions to make the process go smoother for me. For example, should I clamp the deck and do the full sides at once, or should I edge each card one at a time? I don't mind either way -- I just want to be effective. The cards have been clipped with a corner rounder and are not trimmed perfectly even Thanks

Hi all! This isn’t a competitive game, just a (hopefully) fun shared activity. There’s a meme going around about tv shows, and I thought we could adapt it to a tarot game. It’s called “every show has one,” and it has a list of categories into which you sort the characters in a tv show. (It's a frame that you fill in with pictures of the characters, but I’m not pic savvy, so I’m going with just text here. If you want to volunteer to do the pic thing for us, let me know!) The game is pick a tarot card for each category and list them here. I’m going do a separate list for majors, courts, and suit cards. (Courts might be harder, but then they’re chara…

Hi all. A couple of years ago a tarot lady determined the trustworthiness of a new contact for me using the tarot cards. And she was absolutely right. Just now, I could use her advice again, but I don't know what kind of spread / technique she used and I don't remember her contact details. So, I am asking here: Do you know how to determine whether a person is trustworthy using the cards?

Hi, everyone. If you do clear or cleanse the energy of your tarot decks, how do you do that? Usually, if I find my daily readings are no longer accurate. I wonder put my deck back in its original order. Fool, Magician, the High Priestess, the Empress, the Emperor etc... Then I would burn an incense and let the deck absorb the energy. How about yourself? ;)

Does anyone have plans for working with their cards as we begin the new year? These could be certain elements of your practice you want to focus on, things you want to learn, working with certain decks, etc. I am recommitting myself to a daily tarot practice. The power of working with the cards in bringing other important aspects of my life and journey into focus is profound in my experience, and I can really see the difference between when I am at least doing a simple reading each day and when I am not. My tarot practice also supports my journaling, and my journey through the Bardic grade Druid course that I am currently on. I want to continue to deepen my lunar …

Happy Pi Day! I was wondering if anyone has created a Spread based on the "sacred fraction" 22/7 or other metaphysical thought behind the digits of Pi? My first level of thought was to pull the 7th and 22nd cards. Then, I was considering a layout similar to: 1st row (centered) - 3 cards 2nd row - 7 cards 3rd row - 7 cards Any ideas on naming the slots for possible interpretation filters?

A lot of my journey in the last year or two with tarot has been getting more intuitive, being more flexible in reading the cards and positions, reading pairings even if a spread isn't specifically designed for them, etc. So yesterday did a reading for a friend who was just out of a difficult relationship, and the question was, "how can I let go of my emotional connections?" And I cast a celtic cross. We don't need to get into all the card meanings, but it felt very, very accurate and insightful, but there were two tricky cards. The outcome card (position 10, the top of the staff) and the possible future card (position five, the top of the cross -…
