Hi 👋 iv just began my journey into learning about tarot and all that surrounds it. I have a question that I can’t find an answer to, maybe I’m asking the wrong question. So I thought I would turn to a forum to see if any one can help. So I often see things like imagine if (example) the knight of swords was a person. How do you feel about them.. how can I find out the personality of all the cards thank you

So sometimes people talk about just shuffling through their deck, whilst they're watching tv... or just because they feel like fiddling with something. My version of this is bedtime decks. Decks that are pretty, not emotionally taxing, maybe a little funny and easy to run the eye over - that I just like to look through before bed sometimes... Mine are all Tarot: Dame Fortune's Wheel Tarot Metanoia Tarot All Hallowes Eve & Halloween Waite Tarot, stars editions (Hybrid deck) Spring & Winter Waite Tarot, stars editions (Hybrid deck) The Gendron Tarot. Anybody else? …

Hi, I am very new to tarot and am using it as a tool for self reflection. When I draw cards like the 5 of pentacles or the 4 of wands I feel like there is lot to see in the card - all sorts of emotions and stories that I can use and relate to. But I come unstuck when I draw an ace. I feel like there's not much going on on the card so it's difficult to connect with them. If I look up the traditional meanings they seem quite straightforward but don't often resonate with how I'm feeling. Has anyone got any tips for how to get more out of my reading of the aces?

If you have a lot of pentacles and rods in your leggings, and this is about, for example, where you would meet a new man or woman who might become your new lover, could this possibly mean it at work? I once read somewhere online that pentacles describe work environment, but is that really the case? And what about rods?

I know we've talked many times about how to get cigarette smoke out of cards but I've got a Brady deck (rubber?plastic? cards) in a wooden box that also holds the book. There is WAY too much essential oil scent, I think evergreen. Any ideas how to get a lot of it out without covering it with something else? Scent free would be my goal, but a lot milder would do. seems like once someone used bbq charcoal, but you can't buy that here any more.

I'd like to start jotting down my thoughts on tarot, but I'm not sure which medium to use. Any thoughts on the differences between a TT&M private blog, public blog, and library journal thread?

I mean readings where you ask things like : what can I do to catch that person attention, so they like me? Or What should I do to recover my ex back? That sort of thing that seems "forced" Do you do that kind of readings? I have learned in my tarot journey and in my life that not everything will be as one wants, but then... I rather like asking things like "What are their feelings about me?" Would they want to back with me again (have a relationship ? And then if the answer is yes maybe ask for further advice. Advice readings to improve ourselves.. I support those.

Hi All I've read a lot about reversals, but am still unclear. My deck is always mixed up - I don't 're-set' as such. Should I?! My question is; if I have the 10 of swords reversed in my deck and I shuffle away, (I don't tend to flip many cards 180 degrees.), then that card is going to stay there for many subsequent readings. I'm thinking of re-setting all cards and letting the querent lay all the cards down and move them around - this way the reversals will be organic and not set. Am I making sense? Any thoughts? Thanks so much, Katie

I've always wondered whether whether the person getting a Tarot reading asks their central query aloud or whether the Tarot reader has to intuit what the querent wants from the reading. I've read quite a few guides but this aspect has never been covered in detail. I'm obviously a beginner and would be fascinated to hear member's views 🙂

No 🤡 if my deck would have hands would probably throw them on me for that 💀 but that's a discussion for another topic 😅

Hullo All! I had this happen for the first time today and I wondered if it had any significance. I will give you some context to the situation and the spread I have done first... So I was doing a yes no spread, it was a 3 card pull, with the middle card giving an y/n answer based on being upright (yes) or reversed (no). Context: I am quite unhappy in my workplace, though had chosen not to leave but instead drop my pay level and responsibility so that I could begin my own business on the side of my stable job. Question I asked my deck: Will I be leaving my job in the new year? Card 1: ten of cups reversed Card 2: 8 of …

Just looking through some of my old stuff and came across this. I have no idea where it came from so I can't give credit to who wrote it originally. But it tickled me at the time and it is pretty uncanny. So I thought I would offer it up as a share!

I'm not sure where to ask this but I ran across this website and if you scroll to the right on the colorful charts it says Numerology and Count of each major arcana for RWS and another chart for Thoth and others. https://tarotelements.com/major-arcana-correspondences/ Can anyone please explain their numerology and count? I thought numerology was literally the number on the card and when I've searched each cards numerology it comes up as the number on the card. So I don't understand this websites Numerology and Count. Thank you very much, Tarot Learner Lonely

I only see one post in this forum that refers to the song "Stairway to Heaven". Has anyone else here given much thought to the lyrics and how they may be related to the Tarot? I see it as a journey through the Major Arcana - generally in order, from The Fool to The World.

for those of you who read the tarot at fairs, events,, know possibly what I am talking about. but before I get to that.. I remember on atf,, doing past life reading after past life reading,,feeling like it was work,, it was no longer fun ! also I felt like my expanded my crown and third eye to much. so I found for the past years,, after reading at the pow wow, and fair respectively which is 2 days in a row,,or 3 days for the fair.. that is assuming you are busy aka getting clients. that i have to take a day or two to recover. i remember this one week,, i went to sweat lodges, did channeling, and was reading the tarot as i was spiritually addicted (for me…

Hi all, I just thought I'd share some recent readings that I'm having hard time deciding were they 'right' or 'wrong'. Firstly, about a half a year ago I did a reading for my husband about what would be his next career move. Back then it seemed he'd stay with his then-employer for quite some time. What I thought I got from the reading was: he will (or he should) obtain a bus to take groups to tours to teach them about ecology and environmental values. He's an environmental professional but has been stuck in lower-level jobs for a few years and I thought maybe this reading was encouraging him to establish his own environmental education business. Fast forward 6 …

Hi - I’m hoping someone with more experience than me, can help. I’m very, very new at this. I have been interpreting the cards and I was doing great, until I got to the court cards and was given two interpretations for each card, this has just happened on court cards so far. I just wrote them both down and moved on, but after researching I believe one is maybe the situation as a whole and the other is an individual? 🤷🏻♀️ I’m struggling to grasp the concept (difference), since all of the cards have been straight forward in their messages. Thank!

I definitely have spirits manifesting applicable things as I do spreads, but, is that what Tarot is? Just your spirituality communicating with you? Or, is there a greater phenomenon behind the results of the cards?

This is something I have been thinking about recently and a subject for the more spiritual /astrology following/ Moon cycle following readers. Traditionally there is a belief you shouldn't do readings when the Moon is Void of Course. In traditional astrology, it's advisable to not start something new, try to get factual information or communication or divine. It's a window to prepare but not do, because the Moon is in an energetically weak position. Will explain the concept first - The Moon takes 29.5 days to go through all the signs in her (pretty fast) cycle and she spends 2.5 days on average in each sign. Some people follow these cycles in their lives…

If so, how do you handle it? Even though I know my cards meanings and I like to think I can "deliver the goods", so to speak. I still get somewhat nervous. How have you overcome this feeling? I know there is a difference between nervous and being apprehensive...but what are your thoughts and comments on this? Rick,

Hey everyone! Has anyone used the Akashic Tarot by Sharon Anne Klingler and Sandra Anne Taylor? I just got this deck with the purpose of doing some past life work. I am hoping it will be wonderful for past life readings for others. But I am not exactly sure where or how to start with this. Are there any study groups or deposits of knowledge or guidance that one could tap, or could we start a study circle for this deck? I feel like it has tremendous potential but that such potential can better be tapped in a sharing setting. Thank you! ~Shanachie05.
