Ross Caldwell from the Tarot History Forum: "I am saddened to report that Franco Pratesi has just informed me that Huck, aka Autorbis, aka Lothar Teikemeier, died on 10 December. I know nothing more. I never met him in person. Our first correspondence began in the context of the Yahoo group 'TarotL' in 2002... "In the Tarot world, he is famous - or infamous as the case may be - for the '5x14 theory'. He built and maintained the website http://trionfi.com/ He loved the games of Go, Chess, and football." Fly with the angels, Huck.

I'm sad to inform the community that Barbara Walker, of the same-named tarot deck and numerous other works, has died. I was with her the whole time, which is exactly what she wanted. Please see the bottom of http://bgw.works/ for more details, including an extensive "diary" of *my* whole experience in this. She also did an I Ching deck as y'all probably know, and I have an almost complete set of that artwork on bgw.works too *and* the original canvases that came from. I'm hoping to recover the tarot deck art as well, one way or another. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it was time and I guess I'm the most appropriate person to bring it. …

Dear Tarot persons, I am Firemaiden. I thought of coming back as a different person, like Schadenfreude, or Feuermädchen, or filledufeu. But it seemed you'd probably find me out anyway, so here I am in the guise that was me on AT. I am not much into tarot anymore, but I do get nostalgic once in a while, and today is one of those days. Mainly certain decks draw me in and I am currently lusting after the Bauer Tarot, which is how I found this lovely site. Thank you to the lovely people who have put this lovely site together, and I would really love to have some tea with you. Love Firemaiden

I am sorry to report that Holly Voley died in January, https://www.facebook.com/groups/751447628892819/posts/1549045922466315/ Those of us with a THING for Waite-Smith will feel this desperately - she hadn't updated her INCREDIBLE website for a long time (it is still mostly up on the wayback machine, by the way.) https://web.archive.org/web/20060427185919/http://home.comcast.net/~vilex/index.html But she was the BEST on Waite/Smith, along with Frank Jensen and Saskia Jansen. She always answered email questions too, until she stopped updating the page. It's a huge loss to scholarship. I have no idea how old she was or anythin…

i am very, very heartbroken to share the news of the Passing of my dear soul sister, Lyn Monrean aka tarotlyn. Apparently, she passed on October 13th. i am waiting for more news... When i hear, i will post here. We were close cyber friends for more than 10 years, and i already miss her so much. We always exchanged gifts on our Birthdays and Holidays, and i am already feeling the void. She was a big sister to me and she called me "Mookie". May her spirit soar on the wings of Light.

I just received this message from gregory today and am very sad to announce: Quote __________________ "Neil Lovell (of Malpertuis Designs, http://malpertuis.co.uk/site/index.html - Tyldwick and others) died suddenly in August. But as no-one else had access to his website etc, until his - brother, I think - can get the legalities sorted, there is nothing he can do about Neil's website, which is still accepting orders - he can't stop it; he has no legal right to do anything with it - and the site is charging through paypal, even though the orders cannot be filled. If anyone orders, they need to email joelovell51@outlook.com, who will do his best to sort it. But p…

People in this forum who were members of Aeclectic in the early 2000s might remember Rosanne. By chance, I discovered today that Rosanne died in this life on 15 May 2021. She was 72. She was a very kind, funny and artistic New Zealander who discovered Tarot almost alone and became hugely knowledgeable about it. She had a particular interest in early European decks, and I think she may have even designed a deck of her own. She was a loved and significant figure at ATF and in Tarot Perspectives, another forum established around 2006/7. I met her at the Tarot Conference in Melbourne in 2005. In person, she was a warm and delightful charac…

It wasposted today in a tarot group. He was 91, released gareth knight tarot in 91. Wrote the magical world of tarot in 96 based on his course https://www.encyclopedia.com/science/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/knight-gareth-1930 I imagine through his early works in the 60s, 70s that he inflenced a lot of people.

It was announced in fb groups and twitter late last night early this morning. Her deck the robin wood tarot has in my mind influenced generations of tarot readers and tarot deck creators Her book itself based on the robin wood tarot is the definition how a tarot deck creator should write a book on their deck. It is my understanding she has been long suffering from cancer. And so it is my prayer she is flying free in the light. My thanks to her spirit. And my condolences to her family

Hello, all. I have not seen any mention on TT&M of the unfortunate passing of Poppy Palin. I just wanted to create a space where she can be remembered, and members of our community can be supported. It is apparent to me that Poppy was a sensitive and empathic person, and I think she had a great deal of talent and love to share. I wish she had stayed with us so much longer. Everyone deserves to be loved, and to find new love, each and every day. The world is a vast place of immense possibility, change, and potential. I would like to say more but will open things up for others. Moderators, please feel free to move this thread if needs…

Very sadly Neil Gailaman reports that Rachel is nearing the end of her life. He expects we'll see an announcement soon. "My friend the brilliant author Rachel Pollack is coming to the end of her life. She won the Nebula, World Fantasy and Arthur C Clarke awards. She is a world renowned expert on Tarot, and her books on Tarot are still regarded as the gold standard. She created the first trans superhero, in Doom Patrol in '93. I will miss her very much when she goes. I am writing this at the request of her wife Zoe, to let her friends know that the end is soon, and to let the obituarists know too. (I saw her yesterday and hope to see her again before the end.)"

I know not everyone here does Facebook, but there is a Memoriam Page created for her: https://www.facebook.com/oldhedgewytchery/ A post dated March 17, 2021 reads "close to a year that she has been gone. She is the kind of woman that will haunt you, because she matters...." for those who may be interested. Wherever she is, I hope she knows how great her Hedgewytchery method contributions to the world of cartomancy were, and how appreciated she is!
