It's the El Verdadero Tarot De Marsella by Kris Hadar. My deck in Spanish, made in Mexico. Really nice cards, shorter than other TdM's, but wider. A nice feel to them, shuffle easily. A real book, all in Spanich but I don't read those anyway, but I will try the spread in there. Color on the cards is old fashioned/antique as is the box. It appears these are made by V&S. I don't see any tarot cards by them anywhere, but I could be wrong. Research shows these first came out in the '90's and they were meant to be an exact reproduction of TdM's from 1594. None of the PIP cards have numbers which I like. Thats different. There's nothing overwhelmingly different about t…

The sequential method is a method of fortune-telling with tarot cards that is intended for the fortune-teller who would address certain specific questions concerning the past, the present, or the future by attempting to describe actions, circumstances, and events that may correspond to fact, whether at the time of a reading or subsequent thereto. When using the sequential method, which is intended for use with pattern sheets that are comparable to the Tarot de Marseille patterns, one is able to interpret coat or court cards with relative ease. Vocabulary Builder Adjectival Signification: a signification that is an adjective. Adverb…

hello all, Just wondering if anyone here uses the TdM? Ive grown fond of the TdM but am just learning to read with them...anyone else? What decks/books do you recommend?

I'm at a loss. I really am. I'm so used to the RWS and more intuitive decks that I'm legit scared to pick up my TdM because I just can't understand it! I've been slowly browsing through this forum for definitive information but Tapatalk is a bit more complicated to find what I'm looking for. So what am I looking for? Gods only know. All I know is that my TdM has been haunting my dreams and that I recall a post here discussing the deck in general but no recollection of who posted it or where it was located. If anyone here, knows how to read them, knows what the pips mean, or knows of any reliable English book sources to learn this deck, I'd greatly appreciate the inf…

Everyone knows Caitlin Matthews' name. Her new book, Untold Tarot, hit the bookstores in September. It contains history of the Marseille tarot and how the reading style evolved. She uses several different Marseille decks for illustration. Discusses each major trump card and how to read the pips. Offers different methods of reading including 3 or 5 cards up to tableaux size, including use of houses, and much more. This is THE definitive book to learn or expand your knowledge of Marseille tarot reading. Here's a great review of her book by the Card Geek.

Just when I told myself that I had enough Tarot de Marseille... I bought another one! ;D I saw this deck in a bookstore during my lunch hour and apparently it just got released by Lo Scarabeo, in June 2018 (based on Amazon). There is no video on it on YouTube and no written review as I can see, but I think I'll do a "reveal video" as it might help others. The tarot is a reproduction of the Claude Burdel TdM (1751), with golden foil in the background (like the Golden Universal Tarot or the Golden Visconti). It looks awesome! I made two quick pictures if you want to see what it looks like:

Some years ago on AT we had a little group who would take turns posting 3 cards from a TdM or other historical deck together with a question. The person posting the cards would interpret them first and then other people would chime in with their takes. The beauty was that any method was welcomed as it was useful to see how messages were similar or different. The original thread can be viewed here: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=165217 I’d really love to do it again. Would anyone else like to join me? [emoji4]
