Over the years, I've read a great many books about tarot, but only a few of them have I actually kept. For those who use the same technique of keeping the collection pared down to only the ones that for you have been the best, what is on your tarot shelf? ETA: Or, if you are someone who keeps everything, which books, in all honesty, are the ones that had the greatest impact on you and are your most treasured? My shelf contains (ie, these are the ones I kept because they are my most treasured): Ben-Dov, Yoav. The Open Reading. CreateSpace, 2011. Calvino, Italo. The Castle of Cross Destinies. Translated from the Italian by William Weaver. Vi…

I have neither more space nor more money to get more physical books (I actually gave half of my books away when we moved last year) and I have been looking to find free books or libraries but most what I found is either shady or clearly illegal (why has no one closed Scribd down yet?) and you have to pay for on top. The one page which looked legit, as it was a free online library, proved to be violating copyright as well. And while I am well aware copyright laws need to be updated to the reality of a world where basically anything goes, I prefer not to support those who earn money with other people's work. I have literally no money on my own, as I get no disab…

Has anyone else played Sayonara Wild Hearts? It's this amazing pop-album rhythm game that came out last autumn to spectacular reviews and also won Arcade game of the year from the 2019 video game awards. The entire game is themed around the Major Arcana and your literally play as the Fool through around 20 stages of phenomenal soundtrack and varied gameplay. It's such an amazing game and only about an hour long if you don't have to repeat too many of the stages. It's like $12 or so and available on most platforms. Hello everyone, I am looking for books that are not tarot books that would be of interest to people who read the tarot for others. For example, I found a free PDF download of the book The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes online (just search around a bit and you'll find it). Its philosophy rings true with me and jives with the tarot (lots of soundbites I can use). I am not interested in Law of Attraction stuff. Thanks for reading this. Rick-

Nice article in the Sunday Observer today about Tarot's recent come back! it's here - https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2018/aug/19/new-generation-follows-pack-tarot-makes-comeback There have been several articles this year about how popular the esoteric arts are with the younger generation, sales of tarot and also astrology products are at some of their highest! I definitely think the whole area is having a resurgence! I am not sure tarot ever went away but it does seem popular right now :) There are some nice interviews with people who use tarot and also deck creators in the article, it was pretty well done in my opinion. RWS is selling 3 times as muc…

Here’s the URL for it: It’s supposed to be on April 30 (IDK what timezone, so best to check on the link above). The Stream is an interactive show (it’s not staged, and I know because they did feature my tweet on an old episode about decriminalisation/legalisation of sex work in like 2013). I heard a lot of interactive radio shows in the US are staged, this one is real tho. You can tweet them here: I’m not sure how it’ll go, but AFAIK these people should be safe/open-minded to deal with. IIRC, they also did a documentart on contributions of Islam to scienceβ€”unless I’m confusing that with something the BBC did (so they’re good about reconciling spiritual …

Hi guys! Here you can harvest a few decent Tarot books: Links removed by staff due to copyright issues Put in "Tarot" into the search function and a few more titles come up. I also found a few nice Bird guides and other goodies πŸ™‚ Enjoy πŸ™‚ Staff edit: I know this was a genuine mistake so no worries, I just removed the links.

(Forgive me if this doesn't belong in the Tarot in Media section (this almost feels like... Media in Tarot!)) I recently did an interview with my deck and started to understand a lot more about the personality I was working with! I was thinking... "Gosh, these traits remind me of someone... or some kind of... character archetype" and then I realized that I was thinking of characters like Mr Tumnus from the Narnia books and Dobby from Harry Potter. Obviously, I didn't marry these characters to the deck, but seeing a visual for the traits of earnest, wholesome, wanting to do well, believing in others, helpful, kindhearted, and a little self criticizing, that I f…

Hi, so I've been a Persona fan for a long time, and although I credit coming across a certain novelty deck at a convention for getting me to try Tarot for myself, I credit this series for instilling that interest in me to begin with, even if I didn't act on it until just over a year ago. I have recently been playing Persona 5 Royal, as I got the Digital Deluxe version of its sequel when it came out and figured now would be the time to finally get into the Royal version. As someone who now practices Tarot, the scenes with Chihaya are now especially interesting to me, and I think her fortune telling prowess is quite embellished. Anyways, I've been quite intr…

I just finished watching the first season of the British crime series called Cooper & Fry. It is based on the books by Stephen Booth. Many of the episodes contains British folk lore, and there is also a character (the mother of police officer Ben Cooper) who does multiple tarot readings which tie into the cases that the polices are investigating. I really enjoyed this series and I feel like the episodes kept getting better and better. In the beginning I was a bit unsure about the interpretations that was given about some of the cards, but as time went on, I could see that they had put effort into understanding tarot and doing something clever with it. I also found t…

I've been searching, but I seem to be too dumb to find the right keywords to google - I keep getting forums, reading offers and videos and other products vaguely related to Tarot. And, of course, a few sites I'm sure aren't quite legal. And a whole bunch of stuff for phones, which is not what I want at all. All I could come up with is Visual Tarot and Visual Oracle, but they are way too expensive as you have to buy them separately. Plus, it is not clear if it even supports unconventional deck sizes, they only show 36 and 78 card decks as options. My self made deck has double the number. I do not really need or even want card interpretations, spread…

In this latest episode of Spread This Witches, two of the most celebrated and knowledgeable authors on Tarot are being interviewed. Its a 2 hour video that is available on youtube: I hold these two women in such high regards, they have helped shape me as the tarot reader I am. So I am super excited to be able to watch this interview <3 I will have to watch this in segments so I won't make any comments after I have properly assimilated the whole thing. But please feel free to add your thoughts on it!

It's very insightful, and it's free to watch in the link I'll provide below. And yup it's legit. It's around movie-length, and I never got bored at all. I hope that you enjoy it too.
