    Started by Chariot,

I see there was an earlier thread in 2021, comparing Justice, Judgement and Temperance, which was interesting as I never saw Temperance as having much to do with the concept of either Justice or Judgement, but rather more akin to Strength—self-control, etc. It was interesting to think about the three cards as having connections after all. However, I do struggle at times between Justice and Judgement. For example, if we got the upright Justice card in a Celtic Cross spread, in the position of 'what is about to happen next, in the near future,' I would be inclined to think there will be an issue that will receive fair treatment (as opposed to if the Justice card…

What are your thoughts on the wheel of fortune and 6 of cups together? These two seem to be following me around lately and pop up in different spreads regarding different topics, always the wheel followed by 6 of cups. For me the wheel of fortune signifies a change, a movement, the wheel has started to turn and change is coming. 6 of cups references the past, friendships and other relationships. 6 of cups followed by the wheel I would say it would signified leaving the past behind. The wheel followed by 6 of cups seems to me could have many meanings. The wheel can be fate, by chance you will meet an old friend from the past. A reconnection. I've also read that these …

Hey everybody, After a break from tarot, I've decided to come back full force by doing a daily read and posting it online as a sort of tarot diary to keep building on my skill as a tarot reader. 3 cards that have always stumped me though (apart from the court cards) are Judgement, Justice and Temperance. I can't draw a clear line between the three to differentiate them and explain them better. Judgement for me means finding out what the querent thinks is best for them; Justice is finding what is morally or ethically right for the querent; Temperance is like a combination of the two, what is right morally but also what the querent thinks would benef…

I have been reading that some people view the Hermit as a negative card denoting isolation, loneliness and withdrawal. The way I learned it is that it represents a beacon of light for the seeker. The Hermit is at the mountain top remove himself from the materialistic world and concentrate on the spiritual. You can count on his wisdom and his lamp can shed nee light on a situation and guide the seeker on their path to a positive end. Since I read with reversals is read the reversed Hermit as being isolated, withdrawn. disconnected and lovely. What do all you think? How do you read it in a spread?

Any thoughts on Death and The Devil combined? My initial thought was an end to toxic patterns such as codependency, overcoming addiction (or whatever the Devil card referred to). Any other interpretations?

Hey! I'm a tarot newbie and every time I get the The Hanged Man in reversed I get a bit confused. Since I'm new, I only know the very basics of the meanings. I know it means missing an opportunity, refusing change, detachment, and stagnation. I typically only get it as a clarifying card but I just simply can't connect with it. If anyone could give me a more detailed explanation for this card, I would greatly appreciate it!! for reference i use Modern Witch Tarot and the card being called "Hanged One"

Hello! Something I've been wondering when doing tarot readings is how other people may translate the cards! I know that each card tends to have a basic meaning that is used over all decks, but do some decks change the meaning? I'm an artist, so I like to find meaning in the images on the cards and what they may represent. So when I use different decks with different artwork, sometimes I feel the meaning may vary slightly. Have other people also felt this way? Is there any advice for translating cards from different decks? Thank you for your time!

Hello friends, how are you? 😊 Could you please collaborate with your personal interpretations? I use RWS and consider the advice to be "act as the character of this card". With the 8 of swords as general advice, I can think: - Accept the limitations of that moment or situation. - Don't act. - Keep it under control. - Focus. - Find the answer within yourself. - Delimit your space. - Surround yourself with what you believe in, even if you don't see the circumstances clearly and want to change them. What do you think? Do you have any other ideas? Thank you!

Hi everyone, what can mean the Queen of Pentacles in terms of feelings? I see this lady as someone very nurturing who takes care of their loved ones, a very committed and reliable person, so perhaps as feelings this card means loving someone in this way? What do you think? Thank you.

Hello everyone, I have a question about the 6 of Swords as advice. In the RWS deck we see 3 people crossing troubled waters together, with the hope to reach calmer ones. Considering this image is it possible to interpret this card as "you need to go through this together"? I mean, you have a problem, but you're not alone, your loved ones are there to help you, their support is necessary to sort things out. Could this make sense? Thank you so much.

I'm in the process of learning this card meanings from a deck and I usually struggle to interpret cards in this deck, and often miss symbols. 2 of such cards are Emperor and 8 of wands; Emperor- This image seems very unique to Me, it's has a Side profile of a goat and a bird like face. I would see goats strategic, confident and determined. What throws me off is the face? It clearly shows that this bird mask has been tied on this face, is it about deception..i don't think so, then what does it connote in a professional and a relationship context. Any ideas? 8 of wands- all wands are together, a path has been drawn to reach them. This could you be movement…

HI everyone, this morning I've had a breast scan and fortunately everything is allright (just benign cysts). As I was quite worried about the result, yesterday I did a reading and got Strength in outcome position, but I couldn't interpret it.. It looked favorable to me, but I can't say why. Maybe the meaning was that my body after all is strong? Or perhaps it meant I should always have checkups which indeed was also what the doctor said.. I still don't know what the card was referring to.. What do you think? Thanks a lot.

The Empress came up for someone in a health reading. I had read somewhere that the Empress symbolized cardiovascular issues which seems to be on point for him as he is having issues with varicose veins which is a bit unusual for men in general; usually more common in women. However, I got to thinking the Empress is a nurturing type, bountiful and reproductive. it made me wonder if it could also be symbolic of the reproductive system or reproductive hormones, estrogen and progesterone in women and associated with menopause, hot flashes, menstrual disorders, etc., and in men low testosterone and its associated issues, erectile dysfunction, low energy, depression, etc.…

In your opinion, what are the qualities of this arcane? What are your powers and virtues? 🙂 This is hard huh? When I look at the luminous aspect of this card, I think of focus. Someone who keeps himself in check and can be disciplined, restrained. Someone who delimits their own personal space. Could you help me to explore more of your potentials?

I hope I put this in the right place! I did a reading about the soul connection between two people and got the Devil with King of Cups as a clarifying card. As these two people are both in separate relationships, I'm thinking that The Devil is perhaps regarding lust and desire...but King of Cups is about emotional control, compassion, kindness, etc. And as a SOUL connection... I'm kinda stumped with this combo! They don't seem to go together to me. Any insight?

Hi!!! I was just wondering if people could share their experience with the 8 of wands I’m really trying to broaden my view on this card. Because when I see this I think communication, movement and being busy. So I’m wondering what else could it show up for outside of that? Once I pulled this card when I did a reading for a friend when she was asking about communication from someone, got this card and thought it meant she would communicate with them, but she never heard from them and still haven’t lol. But I was just curious what others have seen this card for. Thanks for any comments.

I'm struggling to understand the meaning of the Magician card in the outcome position of a love reading. Could it be about manifestation and creation. That the querent needs to be clear about what they wish for and can make it happen. Any thoughts appreciated.

Reading up on meanings to The World card (upright), there seems to be a finality about it, perhaps mostly in a positive sense? I'm not sure I understand the kind of "ending" it's suggesting. How final is The World? Death, seems final. Ten of Swords is fairly final, most of the Tenth pip cards denote an ending of sorts. How does the ending in The World fit - it seems like an ending, but at the same time, not. If it turned up at the beginning of a life event, would that mean despite everything seeming fine and good the event is about to finish before it really starts, but the querent has entered a new cycle where they won't really care because wh…

Has anyone else noticed that people die that you know when the ten of swords and death appear together in a reading. Or is that just me? Sometimes it's in the life of the person I'm reading for or sometimes I ask a question about one person/topic and it happens, and I hear of a passing that is unrelated.

  25. BradGad
    Started by BradGad,

So, I’ve always believed that any card can be read positively or negatively. For the past two days I’ve been getting The Tower (big changes?) and The Devil (something about bondage?) I’ve always believed that in theory at least. But, as we all know, in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice… but in practice, there is. A bit scary. Today I opened a letter from the Department of Education: I have — a couple years earlier than expected — satisfied the conditions of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program: they have forgiven over $138,000 in student loan debt. And, I got checks for over $4,600 as some kind of …
