Happy Yule/Litha everyone 🎉

The Card-a-Day group will be meeting here:

It is live and on-going now. It is a Closed Club, but all you have to do is request to join. (Those of you who expressed an interest have gotten an invite already and just need to accept it in order to join.)

There is a START HERE thread that shows you how and where to begin posting.

Hope to see you there!

Hello tarot friends, I'd love to join too. 🌞

One idea is we could use some of Mary Greer's 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card. There's several ideas in that book.

Sounds good! I was interested in this book as well but wasn't sure if I should buy it. Are we allowed to paraphrase and share these ideas with the forum? @DanielJUK

I sent her a message on FB asking for permission. We'll see if she replies.

Let's see what she says. It's okay to quote small amounts of text and attribute it to the author, but studying a book or using ideas from that book could break copyright. Many tarot authors don't allow for public or educational use and sometimes they have their own seminars and classes and so don't want it used elsewhere. We can really only use books for studying purposes which are public domain or allow use for us (a non-profit / educational context).

Thank you so much for the invite @fire cat pickles! I started my daily draws journal last year and it was getting a bit lonely. Glad to be part of a community like we have in the DotW.

She asked for us to send "information about how you want to use my book." She said she'd probably be more open to it once she knows more.

How exactly would you use the book in the group? I would like to get back to her with some details.

I'm not him but I remember this study group from ye olde Aeclectic. Maybe it could inspire someone ideas.

Honestly I haven't thought about it much. But now we've started I don't think we need it because we're all doing our own thing.
