A thread for those who would like to work through their collection of decks, participants choose decks from their collections to work with for the week. Some use one deck, others use two or more. Some combine methods: Tarot, non-tarot (e.g. oracle), playing cards, or any other divinatory method is welcome. All we ask is that you use at least one tarot or oracle deck.

No collection is too large or too small. The only rules we have are the Tarot, Tea & Me Rules; Be respectful of one other. Please join us!

  • Please post with your choice of deck(s) for the week
  • Chat away about your deck, how you're finding it (or not), etc., it's all up to you
  • Participants may either choose to share their readings here in this discussion thread or opt to have their own journal in the Journals Forum and link it here
  • Yet others may even have an offline journal in paper & pencil/pen form

Share as often, as much, or as little as you like. You can drop in and out at anytime—reality and life permitting. New to tarot? Long time reader? Come on in!

Thank you @Mi-Shell for the reminder 🙂

This is the new "week", only a few days short this go-round.

I am staying with the Resurrected again this week.

My head is still swimming with the past events of last week and now I supposed 😕

I hope things settle down for you soon, Fire cat! I'm in this week with the Rider Marseille Tarot paired with the Ostinato Oracle.

From the Rider Marseille Tarot, the King of Pentacles; from the Ostinato Oracle, Repeat:

Impermanence is everywhere we look. We are all going to suffer our losses. How we deal with these losses is what makes all the difference. Can we do so with wisdom?
 —Lama Surya Das

This King of Pentacles is giving someone a serious glare off to the side. Even the bulls on the top of his throne seem to be watching to see the showdown. It reminds me of when I was informed by the city that through the law of eminent domain, they would be taking part of my backyard in order to pave an alley. There are some losses that, no matter how much we plead, yell or threaten to bonk heads, we have no recourse. We can only grieve and accept these truths with as much dignity as we can muster. The Repeat symbol on the oracle card implies cyclic repetition. We all suffer losses of various degrees throughout our lives, but the small losses can help us learn to deal with the larger ones. It's not an enjoyable practice, but it is a worthwhile one. As Robert G. Lee wrote, “Wisdom is nothing more than healed pain.”

Oh! The re-birth of our favorite cat! ♥

As mentioned, I am trying out this new deck I got as s gift:

World Shamans Oracle by Francesca Matteoni with artwork by AmarilliSoriente.

The artwork looks quite modern - to 68 year oooooold me.

The cards depict a few Animals, some plants, some significant items or locals like Altar or Drum or Lower World and a number of practitioners well known by westerners like Maria Sabina and Sarangerel and NilsAslakValkerapää.

I am curious, what I will read in the little book, that goes with the deck.

Another go wiith Rose Tarot. I like the deck and it reads well ... yet I seldom to never use it.

@fire cat pickles I don't know about your astrology .... but the recent eclipse was tough for me. Good in the the end ... but it can be an unsettling energy if you're also trying to keep up with worldly responsibilities.

For this week I borrowed a spread from @Rachelcat.

Rachel's spread with Rose Tarot.

I think she uses all Majors but I used the full deck.

  1. Who is at my left hand?  What is happening to me? = 6 batons

Victory. 6 = dynamic balance, wands = vision and will. I’m regaining my spiritual and energetic equilibrium.
  2. Who is at my right hand?  What am I doing?  = 10 Cups

Emotional healing. Completing a cycle of emotions. Unravelling karmic knots that kept me trapped in negative emotions.
  3. Who has my back?  What is protecting me?  = Queen Cups

Not sure if I should read this as an aspect of my Self … or literally as another person. There are 2 female doctors and one female mentor to whom this might apply??? But as an aspect of my Self, managing my emotions. Coming into emotional maturity as a result of untying karmic knots. Also my work as a Reader. In a very practical way,  I feel a duty to take care of myself to be fully present and helpful for my clients.
  4. Who leads me forward?  = 6 Swords

Passage away from difficulties. Dynamic balance of the mind. Astrologically, this card is Aquarius. Aquarius is on H9 of my chart. The house of philosophy, father, guru, overseas travel. All these things are leading my forward just now. A determination to heal and find the right spiritual philosophy after following a wrong one for 9 years. Unraveling the karmic knot with my father. Our upcoming trip to Hawaii.
  5. Who is emerging from me?  What is my potential?  = 6 coins

Fair distribution. Dynamic balance in health and finances. This is my whole goal in life. To re-balance my energy. To correct the health imbalances and disease. To enjoy equitable, balanced relationships.

Numeric Yoga. Three 6s in a 5-card spread is remarkable! Clearly this is all about dynamic balance. 6 is a lucky number for me ... so I really like this 💖

Theosophical addition = 28 = 10 = Wheel. Jupiter's card. a benefic. Old cycle is changing and something new is coming. Yay!
