fire cat pickles Posted August 19, 2024 Author Posted August 19, 2024 Staying with the Infernal again 🙂
Bodhiseed Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 I'm in with the Tarot of the Cat People paired with the Insectorum Divinorum - thanks Fire cat! ❤️ Tarot of the Cat People, Sun; Insectorum Divinorum, Scarab When you come together with your other half, you immediately experience a sense of wholeness and completeness. —Andrew Cohen Remember the children's song, the Hokey Pokey? You start out putting just one body part in at a time, but eventually you "put your whole self in." Our society often tries to force us to show only parts of ourselves - restricting the way we act, speak or think - so that we fit their definition of 'appropriate.' But that's like asking a bird to fly with one wing. The Sun tells us to put our whole self in, which gives us the energy we need to throw ourselves fully into life, allowing us to experience joy and deal with any challenges. The Scarab implies self-motivation and tireless effort in order to get important work done. It takes effort to erase those tapes in our head from our culture and upbringing. The whole you is worth it.

fire cat pickles Posted August 19, 2024 Author Posted August 19, 2024 Welcome back @Natural Mystic Guide 🙂
Mi-Shell Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 After a crazzzzzy week of upheavals things are now slowing down again and I want to spend the week with one of my newest Oracle, the Wild and Sacred Feminine Deck. It was a gift from a patient and at first I shied away a bit from that "big" title..... But I do like the art 🙂 My card of the day is the Rebel / Revolutionary The title fits quite well with recent events, where I had to take a stand for justice. The image however is peaceful as a primordial EVE is hugged by a Snake while munching away on quite a few of the ripe apples from her Tree. The book, that goes with the deck repeats the color images and has a 2 paged affirmative message befitting each card. Today I am planning to look through the whole deck and then hopefully show you guys a few of my favorite cards.
Misterei Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 I'm in with my new Anino Lenormand by Narciso. The deck is sepia toned with a folk art style that references Philipine culture It also comes with an expansion pack of 12 Astrological signs. It has extra Man and Woman cards that show old folks which is a huge plus for me [being old]. Only downside is the playing card references are tiny and difficult to read. Otherwise I like the deck. Picture of daily draw here but I do the interpretation over on my Journal. I'll try a full tableau later so you can see the whole deck.
Rachelcat Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Hi crew! Interesting decks this week! I realize I haven't seen all the Cat People cards! Might have to look into that. 😸 In the meantime, I’m going to continue the Norse mythology theme this week with the Giants’ Tarot. (I’m also feeling like I need to get back to tarot. Too many oracles in the last few weeks!) In the mythology, the giants are the opposition, sometimes formidable but usually dumb and losing foils to the gods. This deck is interesting because it brings them forward as powerful magical beings in their own right. The small book tells their stories. The art is by 23 different artists. I’ve had the deck for years and never read with it, so now’s the hour! Interview time! What is your most important characteristic? The Sun, Sunna As mentioned previously, in Norse mythology, the sun is a goddess. The deck shines a light on a mythology most people don’t know much about. What is your strength? Seven of Swords, Loki and Thor Loki disguises Thor as a bride to smuggle him into an opponent’s celebration for a surprise attack. The deck celebrates the unconventional, deceptive tactics of the giants, and doesn’t highlight fairness. Your weakness? The Hermit, Hyndla She is the goddess of genealogy whose name means “hound.” The deck doesn’t have much to say about solitary wisdom. It’s much more about community, specifically the community of underdogs. (See what I did there?) What can I learn from you? King of Wands, Surt He is king of the fire realm and builder of the ship that will be used against the gods in the final battle. I can learn about taking action, including offensive action. The best defense is a good offense. How can I learn it? Eight of Coins, Ovalde and sons The giants’ ale brewer teaches his sons his craft. Practice, practice, practice. What will be the outcome of our work together? Seven of Wands, Hrungnir A drunken elderly giant was challenged to a duel by Odin. He showed up with a whetstone (not the best weapon) and an oversized puppet (a scare tactic that didn’t work). Even though he did some damage, he lost the duel. It will be an uphill battle. Not many people will appreciate my interest in the underdogs, or how they relate to tarot. But I’ll enjoy the struggle. Well, this looks like fun! (The full moon is today, so I’ll post my full moon readings in my journal thread.)
PathWalker Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 (edited) I'll be in this week with Universal Waite. Later friends . . . https://www.thetarotforum.com/forums/topic/16481-under-the-tree/?do=findComment&comment=279650 Edited August 22, 2024 by PathWalker

Misterei Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Here is a full 6x6 GT with Anino Lenormand. It's laid on top of placeholder cards which help me learn the houses, so disregard those. Picture only is here. The interpretation is here.
