fire cat pickles Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) A unique version of Reading Circle for those who would like to work through their collection of decks, participants choose decks from their collections to work with for the week. Some use one deck, others use two or more. Some combine methods: Tarot, non-tarot (e.g. oracle), playing cards, or any other divinatory method is welcome. All we ask is that you use at least one tarot or oracle deck. No collection is too large or too small. The only rules we have are the Tarot, Tea & Me Rules; Be respectful of one other. Please join us! Please post with your choice of deck(s) for the week Chat away about your deck, how you're finding it (or not), etc., it's all up to you Participants may either choose to share their readings here in this discussion thread or opt to have their own journal in the Journals Forum and link it here Yet others may even have an offline journal in paper & pencil/pen form Share as often, as much, or as little as you like. You can drop in and out at any time—reality and life permitting. New to tarot? Long time reader? Come on in! Bodhiseed Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Thank you Fire cat!💓 I'm in with the Druidcraft Tarot paired with the combined decks of the Druid Animal and Plant Oracles. Only in the presence of compassion will people allow themselves to see the truth. ―Gabor Maté The Queen of Cups has expertise in the field of nurturing and healing others emotionally. She is intuitive and empathetic, watching body language as closely as she listens to their words. But perhaps her greatest asset is in realizing that many problems are learned rather than being a moral issue. Education is a much better strategy than shame. But the Air Dragon, a symbol of insights, reminds us that understanding does not come without an open mind. Our anchors, what we've believed to be true and acted on for so long, must be raised so that we can view things with an unbiased mind.
Mi-Shell Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Hi! I am back as well. Thank you @Bodhiseedand @fire cat picklesfor your kind words to my question from last week. This week I will try to enjoy the artwork of the Anieth Nature Deck. It is from the same creator, but not quite as "devolved" as the Stone Tarot.

Rachelcat Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago This week will be Back to the Future Tarot Deck. Insight Editions’ newer fandom decks are much improved over its early offerings. I now have three (Ghostbusters, Good Omens, and Back to the Future) and may want Beetlejuice and Wizard of Oz. I was gifted Tarot del Toro, but I’m not a fan, so I gifted it on. Star Trek the Next Generation is terrible and one to avoid. I haven’t looked too deeply into any of the others. (I’m not enough of a fan of some of the other subjects and actively dislike others!) So on to Back to the Future. It’s based on all three movies. It’s very character-based as to be expected, with lots of repeat characters, but also some well-portrayed scenes. Suits are guitars (fire), flux (water), rods (somewhat confusingly air), and clocks (earth), with RWS court names. The art is colorful and somehow gives an 80s vibe, even for scenes set in other times. I’ve forgotten a lot of the third Old West movie, so I might have to do a rewatch to do the deck justice. In the meantime, wash, shuffle, and interview! What is your most important characteristic? The Moon Lorraine in the bad present. Her appearance is fake and tacky, but is the real Lorraine still inside? The deck is about strangeness and fantasy. It doesn’t correlate much with real life. What is your strength? Death One of the scenes I don’t remember. Marty has to face his opponent even if he thinks it will kill him? The deck deals with life-or-death situations well. It can be serious when needed. (Opposite of above?) Your weakness? X of Guitars Marty puts his all into it but is still eliminated from the battle of the bands. Meta: The deck has too many too similar illustrations and situations. What can you teach me? King of Flux Doc and the first sketch of the flux capacitor that he’s definitely passionate about. The deck can teach me that love and connection are the most important thing, even more than our passion projects. How can I learn it? VIII of Flux Marty is loudly rejected from the battle of the bands. And he walks away dejected. I can realize that an old loss in relationships isn’t the end for my ability to connect and love, like the King of Flux. What will be the outcome of our work together? Knight of Flux Marty is swiftly learning how to be victorious, and a total showoff, in the past. I won’t graduate to a king, but the deck will help me move on to a better emotional state. Ok, we’ll see about that!
