Arch Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 The moon: This song has had a big influence on me. I listened to it over and over without really thinking about its message. This was before I started the shadow journey I'm on now, I think it really spoke to the split between my conscious self and my unconscious self. Hence I can only really see it as a signifier of the shadow world. I look in the mirror I see reflections I see the eyes of somebody else I look in the mirror I see reflections I see reflections of myself The lady was a part that I've ignored I've felt her underneath my skin before I tried to never listen to her words Until they were the only words I heard The lady on the other side She screamed again with angry eyes.. And in my hand there was a stone I threw it and the mirror broke
2dogs Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Ground-rule, chart ;) : One song can only connect to one card. First come first principle. But a majority (one person more) can request a move for a song to another card  Keeping the first entry suits me fine, if anyone gets to the point of reading via random shuffle they won't want two possibilities. I just hadn't noticed it was down for the 5 of Cups.

Page of Wands Reversed - Set It On Fire by the Scientists. That's okay, 2dogs[/member] , a card can have more than one song! Besides, I like that you go with songs I would have never known otherwise.

2dogs Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Bah, whatever I can find is now too obscure to be on YouTube :(.
2dogs Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I've finally found one expressing the idea of lack of progress or failure to get a project off the ground. Maybe too literally :-[. Page of Pentacles Reversed - Abortive by Ministry. Oddly enough I played it having left random shuffle on and the next track was also one I'd considered, about a struggling band dreaming of making it big in America (quite probably autobiographical ;)) - I wonder if someone is saying this would be a better choice? Page of Pentacles Reversed - Strange Guys by Mythos.
2dogs Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Aha! So while I was listening to music and reading booklets yesterday I found loads that had a meaning but that I couldn't match up properly to a Tarot card, and eventually had the idea of picking out a selection of those for random shuffle divination as an Oracle rather than forcing them into the Tarot system. Which has also given me the inspiration for that final card . Page of Wands - Find The Hidden Door by the Misunderstood.
KaiNO Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 That's pretty amazing, all the cards, upright and reversed, now have at least one song. Well done folks! :D

2dogs Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Multiple songs could be helpful in learning or remembering Tarot, getting a feel for why people chose each one and also finding a song you actually like so you can associate it in your own mind. There might also be some that fit a lot better than those already discovered 8).
