Thanks to you guys and this thread I canceled my Kickstarter pledge and returned the Divine Circus oracle when the post office lied and said they tried to deliver it when they didn't, sob.

 

Except then I bought a TdM deck (the Claude Burdel, my first TdM!) and the Dark Mansion deck.  >:D

 

Now I have to convince myself not to toss my hat in the ring for the copy of the Jonasa Jaus tarot that's just turned up on Ebay... i've been on the lookout for it for ages, but it's already probably too expensive, sigh.

 

 

 

First it was holiday money, then my birthday is coming up, and oh, it's tax refund season... all these excuses ripe for the picking... I'm trying to focus on more fully enjoying what I have.  But those fingers get itchy, so easy to shop online.  How are people's rules going?  Doing the trick?  Struggling?

I came uncomfortably close to buying the Oracle of the Radiant Sun at the weekend but managed to divert myself into ordering a box of 100 NASA postcards at less than half the price.

And so you should. That deck is one of the most pathetic excuses for tarot that I have ever seen - and I've seen some doozies.

I’m mostly ‘shopping my stash’ and not adding anything new. I have so many cool decks in my collection that I haven’t gotten properly acquainted with yet.

Ok so I do have some new decks on the way, due to my b-day yesterday (one I bought two gifted).  But aside from special occasion purchases I too shop my own collection, like you I have too many that have been neglected.

 

By the way, that Power Animals Tarot is de-enabling all by itself all it takes is one look at it .... ICK!

Argh. We put up with this sort of thing in classic decks made in different eras, but in a deck done in this day and age it definitely is a sticking point for me.

I love this deck. It took me awhile to get to know it, and I don't use it terribly often. I agree the lack of diversity is disappointing. The printing doesn't show all the detail of the layers. But it really gets people thinking outside the box.

Here's a glimpse of her process, which I found fascinating.
