Sartori Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 I came across such a TdM deck. There is no more information. What kind of publication could it be? Google image search does not help.
gregory Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 It looks oddly familiar - where did you see it ?
Sartori Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 I saw it on the Russian equivalent of eBay. The seller did not give a description and does not answer questions. https://www.avito.ru/tyumen/knigi_i_zhurnaly/tayny_izotericheskogo_taro_i_2_kolody_kart_2385444725
gregory Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 OH.... rats. Because that box DOES look familiar - but I'd have to look at SO many decks to check if I actually bought it.... it feels like I saw it in Gibert Jeune, but it isn't there now...
DanielJUK Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 I used google lens on my phone and framed it to just look for the exact Hermit image online and found it after a little research..... This site has it in their shop here.... pyroskin The same deck box there is called "Tarot de Marseille 1748 (mini)"
DanielJUK Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 I'm going to edit out my direct links as Pyroskin has been accused of counter-fitting decks in the past. But that is the name they have on that TdM deck on their site with that box image
Sartori Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Thanks! So it's just a repainted reprint of Grimaud?
devin Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 (edited) I'm glad the mystery has probably been solved. I had not idea, but also thought it rang a visual bell somewhere..... then again, maybe the blobby colouring just reminded me of the Lequart Tarot as seen on http://tarot-de-marseille-heritage.com/english/historic_tarots_gallery.html ? 🤷♂️ Edited October 10, 2022 by devin
Niobium Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Anyone recognize this RWS clone? I swear I know which one it is but I can't find it in any of my usual places.
gregory Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) I swear I do too - if you own it, can you please post Death and QoC - it will make it easier to search my stuff. The lack of signature has knocked out two I thought it was... The letter A is a bit of usefulness but I still can't find it.... Also @truelighth might know on the spot.... Niobium Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Alas, it's not mine, so that's the only photo I have. (It's actually from a post someone made on Reddit, we've asked the OP what deck it is but no response, so I figured I'd ask here, see if anyone recognizes it). It has a distinct look of being done with something like watercolor markers. I was thinking the exact same thing about the lack of an imprint; maybe this is someone's MPC deck?
Niobium Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 FOUND IT. https://dabrigh.com/products/lustrous-tarot I knew I'd seen it before. I don't actually have a copy which is bizarre because I could SWEAR I bought it. ?? Well anyways.
gregory Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Crumbs - I recognise it and am not aware of ever having seen it before....
Katka Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Hello helpful group! Does anyone know what deck this is? Thank you!
Guest Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 That's the Shakespearian Tarot by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki.
Aliki Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) It's probably a very old deck i think it's called fortune telling cards but don't know more like publisher etc does anyone know which deck is this? Edited January 6, 2023 by Aliki
Guest Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Hi @Aliki . I think that is Zolar's Astrological Tarot.

rylla Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 These 2 decks are in bags, no title and I'm afraid I forgot the name of the decks. Can you help ID them? Thanks. and
Guest Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 The second deck is in our deck library @rylla. It's the Hirajeta Tarot.
