Another vote for tevada - which was where my Khanesha deck came from.

Tevada also takes out ad banners for their store with us and helps support our community to keep going 🥰

It was my husband's birthday this month and I got him a Tarot deck as a present...

He gets readings from me every once in a while and expressed an interest in knowing more. I was going to get him an Oracle deck to start him off but there was an offer on the Light Seer's Tarot deck in a local bookshop so got him that (I have one of my own and sometimes read for him using it so he knows it and likes it). He doesn't do it every day but every couple of days he will draw a card for himself. I guess this might count as enabling 🙂

Keep us updated on how he is liking it!! And Happy Birthday!

Just wanted to gush somewhere that I just ordered a new tarot deck... Dark Wood Tarot (Sasha Graham/Abigail Larson). I read Benebell Wen's review of it on her website, and had to get it! I was trying to decide what to use a gift card from work on... I think this was a great choice! From what I've read, I really interested in diving into the deck's treatment of reversals and shadow work... I can't wait to dive in! It won't arrive until mid December, sadly! Fingers crossed it moves quicker than that!! 😁

The Cartomancer is having a sale so I will be an enabler! (I am not getting a kickback so there is no ulterior motive here, just forwarding information and to be slightly evil and to be a bad influence on your pocketbooks/wallets😎)

We're thinking about having a thread where members can post offers and sales they see of tarot/ oracle decks in various countries around the world (clearly marked). Just working out how to avoid links to pirated decks with it 🙂

Great idea! Missed out on a fair bit of Black Friday deals that would have saved me some $$$.

I wonder if deck creators would be allowed to post discounts on their own products, since that technically counts as self-promotion.

Posted

No, they would have to do it in the promotions section. We also don't allow creators to post their crowdfunders directly in the thread for them either as it would break the self-promotion rule. However if someone posts their crowd funder or sale in the promotions, we (mods) can link to it in the threads on their behalf and it all works out.

Has anyone here got the Good Fortune tarot yet? Illustrated by Jessica Roux. I love her art though I don't have the Woodland Wardens oracle.

I don't know whether I just have a crush on it from looking at a couple of walk-throughs, or if I actually want to get it.

I like the concept and I think the title is fun. The art isn’t entirely my thing, but it looks well executed. I can imagine that some of the symbolism is unique, but the style does feel reminiscent of other decks. I bet that the guidebook is great, given that it’s written by Barbara. So maybe. I’d say it depends on the rest of your collection.

Evidently just a crush, as last night I remembered that I had posted in this thread but I couldn't remember what deck. Checked this morning and realized I haven't even thought about it in the last couple of weeks. Good thing I've gotten better at impulse control!

Aimed @gregory or anyone else who knows - what was that somewhat creepy deck with the images of figures wrapped in sailcloth and dark water and so on? I didn't like it but I'd like to look at it again LOL

Omg I’m so following this, because I have to know what you’re referring to 😆

That's it -  it's LOVELY. Except for the person here who said they are scared of all that fabric.

Thank you - I am seriously thinking about it. But I'm in  'one in, one out'   situation here now, so I must create a space  first

Best of luck with the space making! I’m seriously tempted by that Sheridan Douglas deck you’re offering, but I feel I shouldn’t invest in another deck right now. I’m sure it will sell fast though, it’s a bargain and that style and color palette is to die for 😍

I'm almost dying reading this. Congrats to the lucky one!

I'm enjoying my time with Tarot de Marseille and I'd like something in-depth and complex to study alongside it. I've been eyeing Etteilla but also something totally out of left field: Tarot of the Holy Light. I just sold some expensive books that I was never going to read again and have $100 burning in my pocket. I'm 99% certain that the publisher won't do a Black Friday sale because it's just her and her husband, so I'm about ready to pull the trigger on the deck and two companion books for some deep pre-Golden Dawn, Continental astrology, esotericism, and mysticism to complement my secular approach to Tarot de Marseille readings.

What's more, based on the author's Patreon, there's a new guidebook in the works, potentially full-blown publication. https://www.patreon.com/noreahsnet

Anyone here have experience with this deck?

I own the deck and used it for a while for my monthlies. But after time less for the cards than much more to read the accompanying book. One of my favourite tarot books (I don't read that much, I have to say). I think it's beautifully written and the immense knowledge is accessible to everyone because she's not wandering on elaborate specialist paths. I'm referring here to the chapters on the meanings of the cards.

I'm not sure if I would buy the deck again and at the current price. But if you are drawn to the images, I would definitely recommend getting it.

I love that old European style of drawing, and this is the first collage deck I’ve seen that doesn’t repulse me. I’m glad to hear that the book has been useful.
