Most every day I shuffle addictively and pull one card out in the morning, and one in the evening just to practice the meanings. Yes, I'll look up what I have about them in my notes and various resources. Well, today, both times and once last night, I pulled up the Hermit. I was reading something in a book about him last night, wrote a note to myself to go back over two particular paragraphs on a bookmark and naturally forgot about it. I pulled the Hermit again just a few moments ago, remembered the bookmark and went over these two paragraphs. I've also been flipping the Page of Swords a lot, and the Queen of Swords a lot. The only readings I do for myself is a weekly reading on Sundays. Two Sundays in a row now I've pulled yep, the Queen of Swords and the Page of Swords. Also, the Knight of Swords has been coming up a lot also, including my weekly spread. Just thought I would share this.

Do you ever interpret them in context to your life and as if they were more than just ‘study cards’? That might make them stop stalking you 🙂 I have had plenty of stalkers too, and it’s usually representative of something I’m aware of but trying to push to the back of my mind (my personal belief is that I get stalker cards because I bring with me certain energies to the reading that then attracts cards with similar vibrations. So, basically that I’m influencing the deck as I’m shuffling). I tend to not have stalkers when I have a clear head and not anything brewing in the back of my mind (which is not very often 😆). But I am pleased to say that I manage to be a clear enough channel to not receive stalker cards/thoughts when I read for others. I guess I also find it much easier to tune in and tune out when I’m reading or channeling messages for others.

Stop pulling one card and pull three. A card is a note, lol.

There is also the possibility that, since they pop up both when you're studying and when you're reading for yourself, they are trying to tell you something. There was a time in my life when I could not draw any cards without getting the King of Swords. And when I went to get a reading from someone else, who do you think popped up as my significator? The King of Swords.

I finally took the message to heart, and he hasn't popped up again in years...

@Raggydoll and @FLizarraga Ha! Yes, my intent is just to study to keep warm. But then yes, once I see the cards I can't help but to think "hey, wait a minute..." But, I learn something new everyday. I'm not reading for someone else everyday, so these in-between moments keep me up on the cards. I don't think I over do it with the cards either, but the way I am, I enjoy researching and learning, that keeps me stimulated so to speak. And if that's what the cards have for me, then so be it, I just let it flow. And then again, you can pull/flip any card I believe and find something to run horizontally with your everyday life.

@katrinka Ha!, Hey, I can name that tune in one note!

Thanks for the responses.

And this is exactly why I do NOT read for myself!

That is a lovely thought!

I thought of that also!

But it would also appear I need to tell my deck this is only practice. No messages.

I just started dabbling in tarot cards. The ace of Swords keeps popping up for me 🙂

I think I should do the same!

A daily draw isn't always relevant because often it doesn't happen much during my day, so if my purpose is to learn the meanings until I can feel them within my bones, yes, like you are doing could be fine, and a reading for myself once a week is enough.

@Decan Whats funny now, is since Ive posted this, I get a different card each day now!

A daily draw is sort of like any other skill, just doing something to keep warm at it.
