I Iike it (especially the sky and the area around the dolmen), but I'm not sure whether I'm completely sold. Need to let it settle and compare them in the morning, I think. It's probably just that I normally do monochrome, so this needs a bit of mental readjustment! 😉

And I believe this is part of the essence of the card. We look at the distance and just walk off not noticing the danger that lays in the path 😉 Just a thought...

Yes indeed, and I agree that the colour does enhance that - the dark clouds are a part of that intention as well. Is it a storm gathering, or is it just a sunrise, with the clouds fading away? There's more ambiguity now - before, it just looked ominous... I'll see what I think tomorrow, and what other people think, too... but either version would work, I reckon!

Adding color gave it more depth of field and I'm noticing textures I didn't see before. That rock, wow! The only thing I would do if I were you (and because I can't stop messing with stuff) is add a teensy bit more red to the dragon etching, just to make the color on its body a little more uniform. But that's me; it really doesn't need anything more. Maybe you want it to look like it's been there a long, long time? If so, it works! Oh, and I meant to say upthread that I love your raven! Its expression is priceless! Great job with the sky, too. I was imagining dark blue, but the yellow is much more dramatic. Edited January 22, 2020 by geoxena

There is no way that you can just stop at one card. You can always sign up for more card here and then use those images later in your own deck. The one you will have to make. Thank you all so much... and yes, I do believe I am happy with it, after all! 😎 The mottled effect on the dragon is actually deliberate: lichen has grown over it, so is there really a dragon still out there, or did it vanish many years ago..? Next step is to write it up, but that should be a lot of fun. That's when I discover all the things that ended up being included without me knowing it...

This little seed has after all lived in there for a very long time and now it has germinated... good luck avoiding it (just see where that led me !!)

I haven't had a chance to really look until this morning. I'm so impressed!! I'll post mine in a bit, although I'm going to redraw it. Am going to pull him off my own project because he doesn't quite fit in with the rest of my deck, which is more of a celebration of the human body. But I love this boy's vigilance, and how connected he is to the earth. He's not quite ready to detach and participate in the war parties, but he is observing, preparing, learning, and he's performing a much-needed function for his community. I identify with all the Pentacles, but the Page is always one of my favorite cards.

I regret my suggestion to tweak the dragon; I had been working on my drawing for a long while at that point and was so absorbed in the colored pencil process that I became a bit over-zealous about it. Immediately after I made the suggestion, I realized it is supposed to look aged - and indeed it does! Wonderfully. I also forgot to tell you how much I love all the little details you put into the drawing, like the Queen Anne's Lace and the stones around the fire. It is very much like a vintage photo postcard I bought from the Museum of the American Indian in NYC. Is the beadwork and headdress from or based on a specific tribe? I am so jealous!!!!!! (that is meant as a compliment, I am not a jealous person by nature) With all that said here is an update on my Novice of Water which honestly does not seem like she belongs in this deck at all ..... And now that @Raggydoll will start her own deck you have company and it will be motivation for you to finish. You do remember that I love your art work a lot 😉❤️
