Hi @amirartpop . The Star card in Thoth is a particularly lovely card. I don't read with Thoth personally but Thoth Star and Art are two of my favorite cards ever printed.

Eeee eeee eeee! I finally found a copy of Phil and Jacqui Lovesey's pocket-sized The Secret of Wand Wood oracle deck. I found it pre-owned, as it ...like so many of their fabulous decks ...is no longer in print. Ordered it immediately. I don't know how long it will take to arrive, but it's being sent from London, and I'm in Scotland ...so here's hoping it won't take too long. If you want a deck of theirs, you apparently need to buy it quick, as they do go out of print fairly fast! Jacqui has an Etsy shop and a presence on Facebook.

Okay, I'll jump in here. I only have three oracle decks that I actually use. Two of them ...listed here first ...are oracle decks where I tend to pull ONE card after a tarot reading, that gives me another perspective on the tarot reading I've just done. The first of these is ...inaccurately ...called The Dreampower Tarot, by RJ Stewart, and illustrated by Stuart Littlejohn. However, other than the fact that it is printed on cards, it has nothing to do with tarot. It is an oracle deck. There are pip cards included ...again, not tarot ...which I have actually got rid of because I never use them. But the remainder of the cards are startling, to say the least, and provide a LOT of food for thought. I believe this is long out of print, but might be available to buy pre-owned. It's a stunner. Here is just a sample of some of the cards in the Dreampower deck. As you can see they are neither numbered nor named. The second deck I use to finish a tarot reading is The Druid Plant Oracle by Philip Carr & Stephanie Gomm. These are the people who created The Druidcraft Tarot, which actually doubles up very well with this oracle deck for a reading. The book that accompanies this oracle is what makes it so satisfying to use, as the book goes into all the traditional uses of each plant as well as historical and mythological aspects of the plant. It's easy to attribute some characteristics of the plant to whatever the tarot reading was about. And last, but definitely not least (I use this deck for my own pleasure and comfort quite often) is The Majick Cottage oracle deck, written by Phil and Jacqui Lovesey, who live in Shropshire, in England. I was smitten with Jacqui's artwork the moment I saw pictures from this deck, and couldn't wait to get it. The deck is more than satisfying ...actually quite enchanting and amusing without being 'cute.' The overall feeling is of home-ness and home comforts as well as a few niggles. The pictures and storybook about Matlock the Hare that come with this deck are unique, to say the least, and I often assemble several of the cards together just to illustrate how I hope my day will go. Often, it does. It always makes me smile.

Hey guys, my name is Amir, I'm a 30 year old gay guy from southern Michigan. I got into tarot about 7/8 months ago and have been studying and learning about it diligently and daily ever since my first reading! My first card I ever got was The Star - which is my favorite tarot card and not only because it was the first card I got, but overall the meaning and imagery is my favorite! I started with Rider Waite and eventually got into Thoth which is my favorite deck, but I've gone deep into the hermetic framework of the cards as a result. I'm interested in the deeper correspondences to the cards and I find a lot of joy and peace with learning. I have also journaled every single spread I've pulled for myself on paper - I did my 702nd spread today! I have about 10-12 decks I think. Interested in seeing what other spreads people can share or discover lesser known decks and meet other friends that are into tarot.

Dear Tarot-loving folks, hi from Germany here..! I just joined this community because I'm looking for a favor. I'm not a bot, but a real person, living in Hamburg, Germany. For the past 20+ years I'm a huge fan of tarot and oracles with intricate artwork. Not so much the "dark" decks, but dreamy, nature-themes and modern interpretations. Now I came across a deck which is only available for mailing within the US. I have tried to order it from Germany but it's not possible. It's a German graphic designer duo who have created it and they are clearing out their US warehouse, it will be closed down and they are selling now whatever is left. The book & deck are really beautiful! I already have the deck but not the book. Can a kind person with a US adress order it for me this week and then send it to me? I've recently took delivery of The Urban Crow Oracle by MJ Cullinane. It has 54 cards, good cardstock, very easy to shuffle, a nice companion book that goes into full details of the cards and the cards themselves are well drawn and colourful and are numbered with keywords. I've had a bit of a dry spell with tarot so then this oracle caught my eye. I'm still getting to know it but some of the readings I've done for me have been real eye openers, including the new deck spread. I'm excited to get to work with this deck.

Welcome to the forum, @dollyglitter . This is a good place to bring any ideas and interest regarding tarot and other similar studies, along with spiritual interests and practices like paganism. Some tarot decks are very pagan, as you probably already know! (I lean that way myself.) The Druidcraft Tarot springs to mind immediately. And of course there are many oracle decks that also have a pagan theme to them. You have come to the right place! 😊 Are there any Spanish decks of particular interest to you? What deck/decks do you use already? Do you have favourites?

I got the Gratitude Oracle by Angela Hartfield last spring and I am very happy I did, it really lifts up your mood and it gives the most loving answers. Also, it has such beautiful illustrations, by artist Josephine Wall.

Hello everyone! I am a woman from Spain, and I am 33, but bought my first tarot deck at 24 and have had my highs and lows in my tarot journey. Now, however, I feel encouraged to do it, and have done so for nearly a year, even though I am still learning, of course. My reading style is not predictive; I like to ask the cards for ideas, insights and advice that I haven't found myself any other way. I am somewhat spiritual, feel very drawn to paganism, and have made an altar some time, but it's not something I am very active with, even though I do take it seriously (I should be more serious though). I'm always happy when I find my path has taken me down a serendipitous trail and once again, I've found a path like that. I posted awhile back that I had found the book Benebel Wen authored in which she wrote about the Tableau method for using Tarot. I had never heard of that before. Then I also found another book by another author that told at length about using the Tarot that way. Due to life interrupting me with a broken hip, though, and a move of house during the next year. I never spent very much time with the book before it was packed away for the move. Then I got Lustrous Lenormand by Ciro Marchetti which is beautiful and I love using it. Serendipity, which is still at work, had led me to Toni Savory who wrote Ciro's guidebook to the Lustrous Lenormand. That has now led me to the book called Mastering the Tarot Tableau: Revisiting Predictive Accuracy with Tarot which is written by her as well and I'm very happily excited to start learning and practicing this method. I don't charge for readings anymore. I consider myself retired from that. I do still read for others sometimes, though, and now I happily intend to do readings in this manner to learn this kind of spread and, although I've got a better source of income to carry me through the rest of my life so I don't need to charge for readings now, I may do a party at Halloween or some other occasion here and there just because I love it after all these years.

Not exactly using it actively. But it NEVER goes into my purgatory pile of decks I might get rid of. I keep it. Will keep it unless I have to do some major downsizing in future. As others mentioned--to use this deck you kinda have to go by the Eteilla meanings. So I used an online resource [stolen thyme] to look up those meanings and got very accurate results with the deck. BUT I found I seldom used decks where I have to look-up meanings. I know regular Tarots so well I can just do my thing. So I seldom use DFW due to that look-up factor. Unless it's part of a challenge or a reading exchange on this site. I bought it fairly cheap. I don't know if I would purchase it if it were super expensive.

It's official. After getting Justice card YET AGAIN in an "ambiguous romantic connection" spread--it definitely means not interested in that way. This one the client liked a work friend. Wanted to know if it could be more. Justice card front and center. No legal issues, not lawyers. I had other cards confirm it meant the work friend wasn't interested romantically. @geoxena comment vis a vis impartial = not partial to you [I'm paraphrasing] but that described this read. On the flip side it can also show UNequal. Person A feels romantic interest but Person B does not. They are NOT equal. In any case, it's funny how a card might change and evolve in one's readings. For most of my career Justice was pretty much always a legal card. Lawsuits, divorces, layoffs, probate. Only recently has it started appearing in ambiguous romance questions.

I don't use reversals, either. I have at least one deck with the reversals built in (Revelations by Zach Wong) so of course I could flip the deck around and shuffle and pull reversals that way but otherwise, a hard no. I want all those images in their upright positions.

Like @Emily my decision to not use reversals is mostly aesthetic. When I see upside down artwork it looks messy and my Virgo Moon wants to clean up the spread by turning them upright. That being said, I like @Chariot approach to how she reads them. If I used them more I would probably take a similar approach. I occasionally use them in small, targeted spreads [comparing one option to another] and see reversed cards as weaker if the lines are otherwise similar in strength.

On Tuesday, I received The Lubanko Tarot. Another case where one card drew me in and so I had to have it. Also, another case of being enabled by the Identify This Deck thread. 🤣

I don't read with reversals, I like to see my cards upright and I think that there are enough cards to give good, well rounded readings without them.

I've always liked The Moon card, in a new deck it is always the card I try to see first.

My favorite tarot card is Justice. I like how this card represents ideas of balance and fairness. I enjoy looking at this card in different decks and seeing how artists portray it while still keeping its traditional attributes. I’m also a Libra, so that’s another reason why I like this card.

Hey everyone! I found a copy here where I live, but it's a tad pricey… I remember Dame Fortune being super popular years ago, but haven't heard much about it these days. Anyone still using or studying this deck nowadays? What have been your impressions on it, on the long run? The artwork and the idea behind it really attract me, but I'd love more first person person accounts, especially from those who keep using the deck! I have zero experience with Etteilla, but love the TdM!
