Hello! I'm so glad to have found this community. I've dabbled in a personal reading here and there for years and have just gotten really into learning and practicing tarot. I'm really looking forward to being able to interact with other people who are interested in tarot as there aren't really many of these in my life right now. I'm also queer, and interested in ways people are queering the tarot and dealing with the gender divide/binary in traditional tarot cards/readings.

When I started learning tarot, I found Aeclectic tarot forum and the archived posts really helped me during the journey but at the same time I was, kind of, disappointed to know that the forum was now closed. Only today, I realised that this community was created as a result the closure of the AT forum, hence, I signed up. 😊

Hi! I grew up religiously oppressed, and always have had a negative view of tarot up until a few years ago. Even after I released myself from religion, I always questioned the validity of tarot. Now that I'm venturing into it (I bought the eye light tarot deck by Violet Aveline at a Modest Mouse show) it's been incredibly enlightening. So many spot on readings, that it's significantly changed my life. Sometimes I find it difficult to interpret card combinations especially... I have also noticed that some recognize reversed cards and some do not. I would love more insight!

Hi! My name is Nnaiad. I have been dabbling in the tarot since I was in my 20's. I'm in my late 50's now. I have never studied them formally. I just get them out from time to time and read for myself or friends Over the years I've learned a lot and am ready to take it to the next level. Currently,I am following Bennebel Wen's advice. She believes that in the beginning, you should practice reading for no-one until you've got it down and I find I am enjoying this because it's less pressure while I learn.

I registered here a while ago, just wasn't writing much but also was quite occupied by other things. I have gained some psychology knowledge, counseling, and a Jungian approach toward Tarot. My life has changed so much during this time and I am coming back, to tarot. It feels like I have completed a journey and am back to Fool card now.
