My name is Bethany and I am a divination Wiccan from the UK. Although I have being using tarot cards in my practice for a good few years now, I have recently decided to write a blog piece that goes into more depth about their origin, history, and purposes (as I find it all incredibly fascinating). Furthermore, I would love to open up a discussion in regards to their origin, or even about your own experiences/ reasons for using them. I may feature your responses in my blog- so let me know if you don't want me to! Thank you!

I know maybe some members have no idea where on earth I came from. Well, I was a member of AT for many years, then joined here when AT dissolved. My health deteriorated for awhile because of covid complications but now I'm feeling much stronger and I'm so glad to be back here among friends and people with common interests. I've really missed the company of my Tarot friends in the last couple of years.

Yellow to all!!!! i am new to this community but tarot has been an on-off deal for me. I always find myself back to the cards, though. Or they find themselves back to me. a friend gifted me a deck with which I have connected with like I have never connected to any deck (The Pulp Tarot deck). I take it as a sign to stick to it for the time being. Now I want to get cozy in a community where I can learn and deepen my knowledge. Happy to be here!!!

Nice to meet you all. I’m 32 year old, female, UK. Similar to many of you guys, I’m introverted and socially awkward. However, I do have an intense need to connect with other people, and I would like to improve my social skills, especially when it comes to talking to authority figures. Having studied books on how to build social connections in the real world, I decided to turn to Tarot to help guide me in these areas. I started professionally reading the tarot back in 2020 after practicing for years. Hello, Im new here and wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 30-something married lady with 4 children and 4 fur babies. I have been on my tarot journey for 3 years and studying astrology for four. I enjoy reading books l, watching foreign dramas, cooking/baking and taking pictures of nature. I'm happy I found a space I think I'll enjoy.

I've been looking for a forum, online and off, to speak on Tarot freely. Glad to find this place! Been collecting and using various decks for about 25 to 30 years now. Always loved the RWS (RIP to Pamela Colman-Smith, the Uncrowned Pixie Queen) but have a taste for decks that build on those foundations rather than regurgitates them. But that is strictly me...would love to get alt perspectives on Tarot, divination and spirituality in general.

Hello 👋 I used to be a mostly inactive member of aecletic but enjoyed reading the forums etc. Once it closed I moved over to Instagram for tarot content as I don't know anyone else personally who is interested in tarot. That's a lie actually, my eldest brother who brought me my first deck (the Atavist tarot) has a vague interest but he uses tarot to help with his writing. Anyway, I was glad to find a lot of the members from aecletic here and the forums full of interesting things. I'll try to be a bit more active here!

My mind is open to pretty much everything except toxicity/drama something personally do not handle well fair warning. The spiritual side of life fascinates me, my view on myself is a seeker of knowledge. hello! I’m a beginner tarot user, two members of my family have been mediums their whole lives but i never believed in it until recently.

Literally! 😁 I joined because I am looking for ideas to complete a deck I am working on. I am attempting to incorporate the Lower Arcana with a regular poker deck. I tried the Pam-A RWS deck. However, shrinking her images down to fit onto 3/4th the size of a poker card doesn't work. Several just became muddled and impossible to read. I have found no other decks I like in the public domain. I cringe at the idea of compiling clip art. I can't draw. Taking photographs would be a rather expensive option due to props and setup. Help!

Hello everyone! I'm Aleister, I've been doing tarot for about ten years but I only began seriously studying it when I graduated college a while ago. I joined this forum as a way to immerse myself better in people interested in the cards the way that I am, that is passionately and spiritually. My main deck for now is the Waite-Smith but I hope to expand someday to others. Right now I'm working on getting in the habit of doing readings and such. Hello, I am not regular with using cards, I used to try and read them more but I just picked up Lenormand again despite how much it confuses me because it could interpreted so many ways so I am glad I found this website. I picked them up because I am going through a tough situation right now that I don’t know who to talk about and was hoping the cards could give some insight. I also heard that doing readings for your self can sometimes not work because your subconscious my pull cards that supports your bias or wants.
