Hello everyone!! I'm new to the online community here and so just wanted to quickly introduce myself. ✧ Me Then: My name is Kenneth and I'm a psychic reader from Canada. There's a bit more wordy of a biographical sketch of myself on my FB page (link below), but just to introduce myself a little here.. I'm 30 years old, born in Canada to two very strict, very fundamentalist, and unknowingly, very psychic parents. (Any form of non-Pentecostal form of spiritual expression was forbidden.) Upon seeing the way I was raised, my father's mother (a psychic and spiritualist), decided to move to my town to watch me grow up more closely (and prevent the closi…

Hello, wonderful readers, old and new. I fall in the "old" category myself, as I have been reading Tarot cards for 50 years. For me, Tarot is more of an avocation than a full time job, but occasionally I get a strong sense that there is someone "out there" who needs a reading. When this happens, I set up at a table in a local coffee shop and wait for that certain "someone" to come by. It is so satisfying to be able to provide the guidance he/she/they/them needs at just the right time in his/her/their lives.

Hi guys, Recently in South East Asia I kept finding playing cards on the floor. I searched up their meaning and it almost ways proved true. Now I have a standard pack of playing cards. First I drew the queen of spades. Secondly the jack of spades. Thirdly the queen of hearts. Bad omen? My name is Hussain. I have no home at the moment, just the road. If I'm somewhere dangerous then I rent a bed in a dorm room. Otherwise I sleep outside. When I have a job (I'm a teacher) then I'll rent a flat.

Hi all! I am fairly new to learning Tarot. I’ve been reading or trying to read some cards for myself only and also have read the book “A beginner’s guide to understanding the Tarot”. But I feel like each card can have much more meaning to it than what’s in that book. I’ve found some online videos very helpful with card meaning. But I wonder, is there a book that you’ve found helpful for beginners? Any help is appreciated!

Hello, I'm Simone 👋🏻 I'm living in rural Ireland, coming to terms with being in my forties, and tarot has been part of my witchy/spiritual practice since my early teens. It's floated between vague interest and total obsession on and off since then, but I'm heading back into an obsession phase after a pandemic-inspired relocation to the countryside for a slower pace of life and apparently getting on a big hippy 'finding myself' vibe. I've never been part of a tarot community before, so I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and geeking out about cards with you.

Hi, y’all. I bought my first tarot deck about 22 years ago (that hurt to type, LOL), and fell in love with reading the cards. For a time, I was active in a local group that met monthly, and even had a deck collection going, although I’ve since pared down that collection to my favorites. I haven’t been as good about consistently doing readings the last few years, so I’m trying to get back into the habit of at least pulling a COTD, to keep my practice going. I’ve mostly only read for myself. I appreciate tarot as a mindfulness exercise, a meditative moment for reflection and insight that I think is so good for mental health. My goals are to study the symbolism of …

Good morning everyone! I have been absent from the forum for quite some time and wanted to reintroduce myself. 🙂I have been working with cards for about 8 years now solely for myself as part of my spiritual practice. I tend to prefer tarot cards that with lots of detail as well as oracle decks. I have about 20 decks in total and am always looking for another deck to “join the family” 😉 I work with crystal energy as well as herbs and plants. Looking forward to being more active here! I’ve missed tarot chat 💗 (edited to add: many years ago I was on AE tarot and was quietspirit there 😉🙂)

Hello all! I am excited to be here! I am a 29 year old tarot reader living in downtown Toronto, Canada. I picked up my first deck when I was about 9 or 10 years old and have been pretty attached ever since! Until the last year or so, I was doing readings for fun for myself and friends, however; this began to evolve into a more serious intuitive practice that I have integrated as a therapeutic and grounding aspect of the energy healing work that I do. I find that the tarot allows me to sift through messages from Spirit versus my own preconceived notions and allows me to achieve accurate and clear results for those who I am working with. I beli…

Hello. 😃 I’m delighted to see this place. And faces from AT. I was MysticalMoose back then - I’ve had a long break from Tarot while all sorts of stuff has been going on. But recently picked up a deck and it seemed the time was right - it felt right. And then - while looking at images of a deck I wanted I found this place and it seemed so familiar. So thought I’d pop back on and try and get my head around decks again. Also, I just saw the thread about the sad loss of Firemaiden 😢 what a tragedy x

Hello fellow card enthusiasts. Its been quite some time since I was here and thought I would re-introduce myself. I love all things cards. I have been studying traditional Lenormand and also going back to traditional Tarot as well. I sort of got lost on different tangents and thought going back to basics would be good. Anyhoo, super happy to have found my back here. I hope everyone is doing well and look forward to see you more.

Good evening, My name is Andy B., and after a rather prolonged absence owing to personal circumstances and a spell of ill health, I am very pleased to find myself returning once more. My principal interests lie in the esoteric arts—particularly tarot (with a fondness for the Marseille, BOTA, Rider–Waite–Smith, and Thomson Leng traditions), as well as Lenormand, palmistry, Belline, and traditional astrology (Hellenistic to Renaissance). In former years I had the privilege of teaching, though I am now comfortably retired. I very much look forward to reacquainting myself with the forum, engaging in thoughtful discussion, and observing the …

Hello everyone. My name is Cody. I am 40 years old and returning to tarot after a very long hiatus. I first became interested in my mid to late teens and began learning about tarot. A few amazing people at Aeclectic helped me get started by gifting decks and stuff. Throughout the years, life came and went and my studies all but stopped completely. I lost all of my decks and things and fell into alcoholism and addiction, but I am proud to say that I have over 8 years of sobriety and at the suggestion of my wife, I am looking to return to studying tarot. I never lost interest, and I am ready to start a fresh journey,

Hi all I am a bit unsure as to whether I've already introduced myself coz my password bank didn't show TT&ME, but when I tried to sign up I got a message saying my email address was already in use. I figured out how to get here then saw a month and day re my membership, but no year... I'm pretty sure I might have signed up a few years ago, when I first discovered that AT was no longer current. What sad news that was as I'd been a member there since maybe 2008 and loved it to bits. Having finished the images for my own Tarot Deck (Merrekai Tarot) and now writing up the narrative for it, I was thinking that it would be a good idea to get active on a forum again. TT…

Hello everyone, I come from the world of astrology, and tarot was never something I was too interested in. Just recently, I happened to see something about Derek Walters' Fortune Teller's Mah Jongg deck (no longer available), and something about it made me curious. Since then I have been doing a little research into tarot, and might be interested in trying out a deck soon. Actually, I do have a question that maybe someone has input for. (I didn't see a subforum for "Just Starting Out" or anything, so I hope it's ok if I just ask right here.) Something about the standard RSW doesn't really sit well with me. I've seen it, of course, at different times over the years, …

Hello All, My name is Jennie and I am here new here to the forum. I recently picked up my tarot cards again after a long while of not using them, and really want to gain my confidence back with reading for myself and eventually for others too. I am using a workbook to reacquaint myself with all of the individual card meanings, and hope to learn the most I can from other members here about interpreting card combinations (this is where I always get stuck). I am looking forward to interacting with you all, sharing ideas, tips, tricks, and exchanging readings once I get more comfortable in my abilities. Thank you for letting me be a part of your co…

Hey there, I thought I’d drop a line and introduce myself to my new community. I’m an amateur tarot reader (artist... interpreter? What’s the correct term here?). I’ve read a couple of tarot books and been studying/practicing on myself since July of 2019. I often refer to the ever-informative BiddyTarot website, but I thought I could gain a lot more from interacting with real people. Seeing as I don’t know anyone IRL who uses tarot, I thought I’d make an account here! Aside from that... I’m a post-secondary student, barista, and avid consumer of poetry (and chocolate). I hope my experience with TT&M can help broaden my understanding of tarot and, conseq…

Hey folks! I just found this place today - I used to be MikeTheAltarboy over on Aeclectic. I have a long time love of the tarot deck - probably about 25 years. My interest are primarily in the games played, and it's history; but I do dabble in the meditation and divination side as well. Other interests: Medieval Christianity (liturgy, music, art); Freemasonry and Rosicrucianism (art of memory, meditation; cabala); Astrology and Geomancy; card games in general.

Hi! My name’s Jamie, like the screen name implies. I am a Christian and years ago was very conservative and narrow. As I grew and evolved, I began to question my conservative slants. So people who go through this phase quits Christianity all together, but I don’t like to throw out the good with the bad. So no, I’m not here to preach on how Tarot reading is wrong. Quite the contrary. I’ve found that Tarot is another means besides the Scripture that God can speak tangibly to me. As I was walking through TJ Maxx, I was drawn to a Tarot deck. It was the Good Tarot. I read on the back of the box about the deck and absolutely loved the idea behind it. I pu…

Hello There, I wanted to introduce myself to this lovely community. I have used tarot since the age of 12, so around 16 years. Although only my adult years were spent really studying. My teen years were on-and-off, using the tarot however I wanted and simply being inspired by the images. I am now a full time artist and illustrator, with tarot as part of a daily routine. I love heavily illustrated decks, like the Victorian Fairy Tarot and the Wildwood Tarot, but I do have a special place in my heart for historical and more esoteric decks. I've always found myself very drawn to herbs, trees, and natural themes, so I love to use botanical decks as well. If anyone wants…

Hi! I was interested in Tarot in the late 90s, but in the 2000s I was distracted by other projects. Now my interest has arisen again. This happened, I think, after I published novel "Last Call" by Tim Powers in my country. I have acquired a number of decks and books that have appeared recently. I found interesting and smart blogs, including your forum. I hope I'm not interrupting anyone.

I'm new here.:) I'm not new to the Tarot, not technically. ;) I used to read professionally, about 20 years ago, and had an online Tarot group. Then I went through a bad divorce and life being what it is, I got away from it. Well, I just started getting back into it again and I am really rusty at reading the cards! I feel like a beginner again. I have over thirty decks, but I only read about three. :) My sister went to New Orleans and went crazy buying me decks one year. Now I buy them mostly to collect, or if I want one to try reading with. I'm a photographer, and I love art, and I love Tarot art, so yeah...I collect. :) I also am a writer and poet and an Esp…
