What's the word for that feeling -- like the intimatation of a panic attack coming on -- you get when you're thumbing through your deck, looking for a card, and keep not finding it, and are starting to freak out: "Did I lose it? Is my deck incomplete? Where is it?!" We need a word for that. (Surely this isn’t just me. Go ahead and call me Shirly if it helps.)

I’m making my own deck for an extended project qualification in sixth form and am stuck for ideas as to which movie character to put as the empress

So last year in autumn I ordered the Horror Tarot by Insight Editions because this women loves herself horror based anything including decks. The cards came perfect. Call me nit picky even whiny but my decks booklet is unusable. They reprinted the same page through the whole book which makes me very sad, while i don't rely on deck booklets sometimes they have given me new perspectives on card meanings that never occurred to me. Does anyone by chance have a pdf of the booklet or even page pictures? Thank you so much in advance.

I *just* saw on another internet place that someone had asked ChatGPT to give a tarot reading... and what it came back with was surprisingly interesting. I gave it a whirl too! Is it any less valid because it is not interpreted by ourselves? What do you think this implies about intuition & fate? How could this interpretation method be useful to us in our personalized intuitive practice?

We've all heard of reading the future, but has anyone delved into reading about the past? Not exactly reading about past lives, more like readings about events that happened a decade ago, or a hundred years ago. I would be interested if anyone can link me to any articles or texts about the topic. It doesn't seem like a lot of people have an interest in the past, other than their own past lives. And I'm not interested in finding anything specific in the past myself, just curious about the topic.

I’m new to tarot and was wondering when I do readings either for myself or other people should I start involving reversed cards? Or would it be better to learn the meanings upright first?

Ok, here's a slightly from leftfield and lighthearted question 😊 For those readers who have pets, do you find that they are sensitive to, or react to, when you do readings? I just did my first proper, serious, sit down reading for my partner (he greatly respects the tarot however has been hesitant about getting a proper reading from me until now). The question makes it seem a little bit different than what it is. I have had readings from others and I have done some on myself about a situation that I am currently in. It is a situation that I feel I desperately need and want answers about. What it boils down to is that I have a stalker. I have a counselor, psychiatrist, lawyer, and the cops all involved. So, I am handling it as thoroughly as possible. Hi. Haven't been in here in a while. Anyway, there's this beginner's book I had maybe around 25 years ago that was really cool. It had neat spreads (Celtic Cross, something with a tree, a category spread, a year spread and I think a month spread). It had 25 categories or so (things like: love, career, etc. ) and after you would lay out your cards, you could read the meaning of each card by the proper category. It also told you stuff like what astrological sign a card was associated with and what season. Soooo..... I was hoping someone in here knew the title. I haven't seen it since.

Hello everyone! I am new to the forums and a beginner in tarot reading. While there are a lot of resources on how to read specific tarot cards, what bugs me the most is: how can I work with my own intuition? I am not an intuitive person. So when i do readings either my mind (what I know makes sense) or my heart (what I would like it to be) get in the way. As mentioned in another thread, I am at the place where I want to start reading for others (heretofore I have been studing and doing self-directed readings). I have a question... When you read "in the wild" (not just for friends & family), what are the most common questions you get? Which ones are toughest? Are there any where you say, "Sorry, I don't go there"? (I guess that's three questions.)

I’ve been laying out my cards and my other stuff (candle, crystals, smudging shell) on the silk scarf I keep my deck wrapped in, but for a variety of reasons this isn’t very practical (the silk is slidery and slickery; I have to assemble/disassemble everything every time). I’ve decided I need to outfit the Cosmic Command Post with an actual reading mat. Ideally I’d like something that has some warmth and a relatively organic feel. Oh, and my desk in the Cosmic Command Post is only 20” deep… it would either need to be something not-that-deep, or something that can drape over the edges. Any recommendations?

So... I've been dabbling with tarot for a while (several years), but now (and for the last month) I'm really into it. I love it. It is my passion. But, heretofore, I have only read for myself. I think I am now at a point where I can -- and where I kind of *need* to -- start reading for others. But, I'm scared. Seems like such a big jump, and what if I screw it up? Or if nothing happens? Hi everyone, I just wonder whether is it normal to talk to your own card when you read for yourself? I just started learning to read tarot (for myself mainly) earlier this year, and usually I write my observation through writing. But writing sometimes tiring, and just a several weeks ago I started to talk through it and have a speech to text app to also record my reading. I've now used my own birthday which is June 26 and will use the year 2018 in the examples. I have no idea which one is the most accurate. The tread started by MareSaturni engendered a long debate.
