Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice on how to use Tarot to pinpoint the whereabouts of misplaced (I hope!) objects. I've never used tarot cards to do that, but I'd like to give it a go. I believe Lenormand is supposed to be a good system for this kind of thing, but I'm a newb when it comes to Lenormand and I'd like to find this misplaced ring sooner rather than later. :) Do we read the cards slightly differently when using it for a more mundane, practical purpose? As in looking at what's in the card - symbols, objects, the location - or do we read the cards with the more usual meanings? Thanks. :)

Hi I have few questions about Tarot I am total beginner in this topic and I have a bunch of questions and wanted to put them in to one bundle 1)How do you choose your deck ,if you don`t like any decks and you are looking for a year and Nothing clicks? 2)I absolutely love late Maestro Pitsci and his approach of Tarot resonates with me 100% does it means I should go for Marseilles deck? 3)I have one fully functioning hand what card size you would you advice? I can shuffle regular cards but not very well 4)I can fully clear my mind in few minutes with ease is it needed if I am secular reader and my only goal is analyzing my thinking and why I think the w…

It seems like I'm seeing the "Fall Out Method" or "Jumpers" of getting cards for a reading a lot lately, and it got me wondering a few things... If you use this method: - why do you use this method? - how do you know you aren't just shuffling the cards sloppily? - does it not confuse the reading to have an unknown quantity of cards at each position? (Say I was doing a Celtic Cross, it seems it'll be far less confusing to have 1 card for each position that I can then relate to other positions rather than say 2, 3 or even 4 cards for a position that I then need to try and relate to other positions.) Personally, I don't use this metho…

Lately, I have been feeling that Tarot is mirroring me and reflecting my subconscious more than telling me about the future. I do understand that the future is not set in stone and that things can change according to our energies. But sometimes with the readings I feel hopeless because it mostly shows me what I want to see. If I dont want to encounter a situation and ask for the future outcome, the resultant card would be a No. If I do want to encounter the situation, the resultant card would be a Yes. And this is when I do the same reading twice, but a week apart. And in the end, I end up in a third situation. I think what I am trying to ask if yo…

What would you say this means as for someone s feelings for someone? I can’t help but seeing it as this person feels a bit unappreciative of the other, maybe there’s a lack of physical attraction or way to express it? Are there other things, could it be positive? Maybe impatience too

With the advent of social media, this question becomes more and more frequent. What cards do you associate with someone who pays attention to publications, to the consultant's profile? look, I'm not talking about someone who is necessarily a stalker. Although stalking can be included in this spectrum, I also ask about those people who follow, accompanies someone silently, whether it is frequent or not. For example: when the consultant wants to know if that crush from the gym or work has already searched for him on social networks. In the RWS deck, I usually consider: - Judgment: When something is discovered, it becomes visible. - Sun: v…

Of all the cards in the deck, the 9 of Swords is my least favorite. When this card comes up, all I can think about is misery, suffering, and despair. So I challenged myself to come up with something positive about it (using the RWS), and i thought I'd share what I found. First, I considered the woman holding her hands to her face, and thought maybe she was crying. I've heard that crying helps to relieve stress, so maybe a positive meaning for this card could be letting yourself have a good cry. A lot of people believe in keeping a stiff upper lip, and won't let themselves manifest their feelings, even in private. But keeping everything bottled up like this will onl…

Hi All, I'm in this forum for the first time. I have been in the tarot topic for over half a year now. When I first received my tarot reading - I did not like it - I changed the path of my life, thoughts and I started meditation, visualisations and so on. After 3-4 months, I had another readings and it seemed that i changed my "former destiny". I did not ask the same questions, but yes - I was talking about the same topic, but in close cooperation with the tarot card readers who used different cards and we did not ask the same questions. I talked to 3 people or even 4. The results they gave were practically the same and they gave almost the same time for the fulfillme…

I'm a beginner. Sometimes I ask a question about a friend and the cards are very negative Hours later I ask the same question, I get a positive answer. Also when I ask "What's their karma for treating me poorly?" and the first card I get is "queen of pentacles". It's like they are going to get financial abundance after doing bad things to me. I've noticed that I usually get such jinxed up answers when I use tarot at night. Could someone please spread some light into what I might be doing wrong? Am I asking too many questions?

If any of you get paid for readings, how much do you charge? My mum suggested that perhaps this could get me through college, instead of waiting tables or working at a grocery store. And I have sold a few readings through etsy. But I have charged 1 or 2 dollars, and I have given really in depth readings (up to 800 words written reply) and allowed for follow up questions. I have had to limit it to one follow up question, because some costumers really have asked so many follow up questions, that I have worked for over 3 hours on one purchase, for 1 dollar. Then, I'd do better working at a store. So it's hard work, too, when people really...Uh, do you in english have t…

Hello, I am interested in hearing different perspectives on what the Judgment and Sun combo could mean in a love reading. To me, the Judgment card is pretty inward, like someone reflecting upon something or the situation at hand. Maybe the Sun card is them coming to a positive conclusion? Or is it feeling good about letting go? Or feeling good about what the see before them? Since I have seen the Judgment card in reference to analyzing and letting go, but is this always the case?

I've decide to jump on the bullet journal bandwagon! So I bought myself an unlined art journal (couldn't find any cheap dot grid ones), a selection of different highlighters, some random pretty stickers and some felt tips. But now I'm stuck! I have no idea what kind of stuff I could be putting in this thing 😂 I've gotten as far as making the cover pretty (thanks to some copper contact paper and a pretty sticker), a title page (thanks new highlighters and pretty stickers!), an index/contents page and a star chart (not entirely sure why but why not?). So... where to now...? Does anyone else use bullet journals? Any suggestions as to what I could add to mine? An…

I came across many youtube videos where people modify their decks, trimming and edging them. I feel that with the trimming and edging the deck will get a different energy or people disturb deck's energy. Plus if trimming all cards borders out, they won't be exactly the same size as they were when you buy it, and ink on edges might smudging hands(?). What is your opinion about it? (I don't want to offend anybody, this is only my opinion :) ) Blessings to all :)

Hi all, after a breakup I received a reading which encouraged me to move on. The reader told me that it (our relationship) could not work which indeed is the case at this point, and I have been moving forward. However, I found myself thinking that how much if at all can the tarot cards predict the future. "Could not work" are words that have been teasing me a bit, since who knows about the future? Sometimes, maybe there is a soul contract of only having a short relationship and then moving on? Or, maybe one can see that if things didn't work out the first time, a second chance is very unlikely. But even then, I wonder how much the cards…

I was going to answer this question in the thread it was asked in, but it doesn't really apply to that subject so I've cut and pasted it in this new thread. I hope it's in the right section, but if not, I know our faithful and diligent mods will move it. 🙂 I don't use actual reversed cards myself unless they just happen unintentionally. I determine the meanings according to "all things considered" type reading method. Meaning that card combinations, the clients' questions, the imagery and looking at the spread as a whole to look for patterns of color and such things are how I interpret the reversed meanings if they apply. I'm also a strong…

I hope that I'm putting this in the correct place. I just finished a big reading and I've noticed that while I'm doing my readings I get SO hot. I have to turn on the air conditioner and then when I'm done my body cools down. Sometimes my hand will also move to pick up specific cards while I'm doing my readings. I'm wondering if anyone else experiences certain sensations while reading tarot? I once saw another lady say she also gets hot while she's reading tarot but I feel like there are probably countless other cool things that could happen while you're working in all that psychic energy. I'm interested in learning about all of it! So, feel free t…

At the moment reading Enrique Enriquez's book of tarot interviews "EN TEREX IT" (Encounters around the Tarot vol 1 - highly recommended!). In his discussions with Mary K Greer and Todd Landman the topic of "cold reading" techniques comes up which got me interested in researching that a bit further. As I understand it cold reading basically = the art of fishing for personal information from clients and using that in combination with a bit of neuroliguistic programming to enhance the perception of possessing psychic powers. Mary K Greer notes feeling horrified at the exploitative tone of a lot of the cold reading literature out there. Enrique Enriquez speaking with Landman …

I am brand new to this forum and fairly new in regard to reading Tarot and would appreciate any feedback as I am really trying to learn. Someone that I know that reads professionally pulled a card as to if I would hear from a friend that I have not spoken to in over two months...There was an abrupt ending to this friendship and she pulled one card...The Ace of Swords. She said that meant No, but I thought that Ace of Swords meant the beginning of a new pattern of thought or communication so I interpreted that card to mean a Yes in this context. Would anyone be able to share their thoughts on this with me? Thanks in advance.

Have you guys ever done a reading in a public space? (For example, a cafe, library, a table in the park, etc) Any place where there usually wouldn’t be anything like tarot or occult things? Was the energy different? Did you feel it affected your reading? Or do you bring your tarot out to the outside world at all? (Excluding tarot/occult shops) I feel like reading outside connects me to the elements more. But I’ve never even taken out my cards in public yet. What are you guys’ experiences?

The best way to explain what I have in mind here is to insert part of a PM I sent to Aldor44 earlier today: "Your thread at https://www.thetarotforum.com/tarot-for-yourself/looking-for-fresh-perspective/ has raised many astonished questions and ideas for me, not only about your insightfully unusual interpretations of some of the cards, but about my own reading style and ability and indeed about Tarot itself. "To raise these concerns in your thread would be to hijack the thread to my own discussion and for my own needs. Instead, I would like to use it as a springboard for a thread of my own. I would like to quote you extensively and from the quotes develop lines of…

Hey folks! I have always wondered if probability matters when it comes to yes or no questions? I believe that the deck consists of 60% 'Yes' cards, 10% 'Maybe' cards and 30% 'No' cards. This is for when you're only doing Uprights for Yes or No questions. When you're doing uprights and reversals, Majority of reverse cards would be 'No' on top of the already 'No' upright cards. In this case the percentage of 'Yes' cards majorly drops to 30% If we are asking Yes or No questions, shouldnt the Yes-No cards be divided 50-50%? Even though Tarot is based on energies, do you think the cards should be equalised?

Hello all, its been a while since I posted here. Unfortunately, I lost my tarot cards two months ago and havent really gotten around to buying a new deck, even of the same company. Just felt unnatural and meaningless. Instead I have been using Labyrinthos' Pick a Card readings where you have multiple options. Basically you choose a spread (1 card, 3 card, 5 card spreads) with pre-built questions on each and then you tap on each card in that position to see what you got. Can anyone tell me how reliable it is to pick cards on the internet? Emotionally, I feel I might never connect with a deck again, so I want to look into options like these. …

I am surprised that I can't find this topic anywhere on the forum dedicated to Tarot. Maybe, because I am new to this forum and did not know where to look. But because it is not present, I have decided to bring it up. Let me explain what is my belief on this topic is. First of all, I believe a deck of Tarot to be a tool of occult work. And second, I believe that if someone is serious about their occult work, they should bless their tools. I both feel like dropping a sudden unnecessary long lecture. But I also want to know, is there anyone actually interested in it? By blessing, I mean a one time ritual that lasts several days. --------- --Edit-- --------- Sin…

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on cards that lend themselves to apologies. I'm well versed in cards of communication, but often struggled to determine what the communication other than "positive" or "negative" might be, and apologies tend to fall into this gray area for me. What are your top cards for indicating apologies, and why?
