I've been reading Tarot at a novice level for years, and only consult the cards when I have a concern that I simply cannot find the clarity to navigate on my own. I would like to really jump in at this point and develop a relationship with my cards... Study them, learn their nuances, develop an intuitive connection with them. This may seem silly, but I feel a bit wary about doing too many readings as I'm learning. It's as if I'm afraid of watering down the magic of them, or somehow taking the wisdom for granted. I've got lots of 'difficult' questions rattling round my head, and since I'm totally flummoxed, I thought I'd raise some of them here. :biggrin: First up: precognition. I come across tarot readers that offer readings for a mere US$1. How could they justify the time and energy they put behind the readings? What do you think of such readers?

Every now and again, I remove all my court cards from my deck before doing a reading. Sometimes I'm just NOT in the mood to wrestle with who/what any court card in the layout will refer to. I know that's probably heresy—but I've found that the results I get are usually quite clear and accurate without them. And much simpler to deal with. Anybody else ever do—or try—this? I'm not advocating this approach, by the way. Just curious.

as i’ve been getting into cards, i know some other people also read their cards as reversed when they come out facing outwards. i was wondering if that’s just a preference or what your guys thoughts about it i think that’s pretty cool it can have a double meaning

When you get the vibe that the spread you've pulled are too good to be true, how do you know it isn't just your own wishful thinking influencing the cards? A few times recently, I've pulled cards to gain insight into a couple different aspects of my life that haven't been going so well, and suits like the Six of Wands or the Sun have turned up in relation to the outcomes with surrounding cards to support more positive interpretations. I know every suit can be ill-aspected and no card is unambiguously positive, but still I'm left confused. Should I trust that something better is coming my way? Hi Do any of you know Susannah Conway's online classes about tarot and oracle cards - "78 mirrors" of "Daily Guidance"? They look really exiting - but they're quite expensive... I mean - you could buy A LOT of new decks for the price of the classes - but if they're worth the money I would love to take one (or both) of them...

Just curious, have you ever encountered a deck that somehow filled you with intense foreboding (and not just because of the price)? Decks which you have physically seen or beheld and which you noped away from, simply because it's giving off bad vibes? Well I personally haven't, but I've heard some stories.

I just wanted to talk about my experience with the knight of wands. Almost everywhere you see descriptions of this card saying the knight of wands is passionate and lusty, but only for a short period of time. This has not happened in my case. I'll give an example. 3 years ago I was curious about the attraction towards me from a man I knew. Whenever I turned to tarot asking whether he was attracted to me I got the knight of wands. Tarot is an intuitive medium. I view the tarot as sparking the reader's intuitive faculties by reminding them of various archetypes, of the human condition and common tropes. To me intuition is a faculty of the mind, a pattern recognition system of the subconscious that lets us connect apparently unrelated things. Hi all! I wonder how do you guys link cards together? I use RW tarot cards and am not a pro (also new to this forum as well). It has always been hard for me to link them together to read cards “like a story”. I did a reading on myself about my near future. I got 2 of pentacles, lovers in reversed with 2 of cups in reversed, and then ace of cups in reversed. Lovers & 2 of cups in reversed clarified by 4 of wands in reversed and 3 of swords in reversed. I am a beginner in reading tarot cards and I find it hard to read this spread. If needed I am currently single.

Of all the cards in the deck, the 9 of Swords is my least favorite. When this card comes up, all I can think about is misery,suffering, and despair. So I challenged myself to come up with something positive about it (using the RWS), and i thought I'd share what I found. I really love this card. It is my favourite as it talks about connecting with your feminine energy, and all the other beautiful things such as beauty, nature, volunteering, helping, fertility, sensuality, sexuality, pregnancy, intuition, following your heart, etc. Almost all of us should connect more with our feminine energy and focus on 'Being' and not on 'Doing' as many people do this time, where hard work, being busy and being logical is synonim of going to be successful. We should follow the advice of the beautiful Empress ,love ourselves and others!

I really want to trim my Druidcraft. This thing is huge and so hard to shuffle. But 20 Youtube videos later I'mstill too scared to do it. Realistically I can afford to replace it if I stuff it up but I still don't want to ruin the deck. Tell me your deck trimming success stories?
