My partner and I wanted to explore our relationship through the cards. Could we do a joint reading or would it only work if we did separate reading for each of us?

I've been reading for others since May of this year....I couldn't tell you exactly how many readings I've done for others (all long distance)...but if I had to guess maybe around 200. But tonight. Tonight I hit my first wall. I tried to read for this person twice...once when I first took my cards out, got absolutely nothing...I saw nothing, couldn't make sense of any of the cards. So then I tried to do some other readings for other people, and those came out simple/easy! Once I had someone ask me if they should kill themselves following the death of this woman’s husband. She had no one else in the world and she lived in a remote place....here in the desert SW. Hello, anyone here wondered what can everything happen if you use the tarot very often? I guess if you read every day, you can bring close to you bad entity and you can feel it. I have at night sometimes weird and bad dreams and always wake up around 02:20 and have feeling like someone is there around and looking at me. I always use salt and put it front to the doors and window, always have closed the doors when I sleep. What are you doing for protect yourself if you are using the tarot? I’ve come to my own explanation of the spread but I would like to hear what others think about it as well. Because my daily draws had been getting rather monotonous and uninspired recently, I went looking for something to shake them up a bit; something from outside my bubble, a question to answer with the cards in a way that would make the process feel fresh again. I stumbled on the 'Daily Haloha' app, which is wonderful; each day there is a prompt, your reply gets sent out anonymously, and you get another response back (there is also a wall with daily replies to read). What is a sunburst deck? Besides a deck name I made up, it is a deck with bright, bold colours, where every card isn't just illuminated, they seem to radiate their own light. I'm very particular about the decks I buy, and am certainly drawn to illustrated decks over photoshop collage or rendered decks for the most part. I also trend towards modern art style over the more traditional like the rws or tdm wood cut look. I was looking at the Lili White originally for this style but I have since learned it has the near unforgivable sin of copyright marks. Any suggestions to help me are largely appreciated! 🙂

Can anyone explain when we do any tarot readings then there is a thing called top of the deck and bottom of the deck ? What's that I am really confused!!! It's that mandatory to see these???

Hi, I like to pick a card for each week and at the end of the week track it back to how it went, however sometimes I have had majors turn up for a reading like ‘wheel of fortune’ or ‘Devil’ but nothing really significant happened in those weeks. It becomes difficult for me to do daily card reading, hence weekly method is preferred but does anybody have suggestions on doing a better spread for this kind of a weekly reading to get better insights?

This may be a stupid question but when pulling multiple cards do you shuffle in between each card or just before starting?

I'm curious to know what others think... I did a reading this evening for someone which made no sense at all to them. The cards seemed really clear to me and a narrative came through - but the querent was quite sure that it wasn't relevant to them/their life. I'm still building experience so I'm completely willing to believe that I got it wrong but I'm curious to know what other people do and say in those circumstances? How do you deal with it and what do you say to the querent? The odd thing is that when I looked again at the cards, the reading could relate very easily to a close family member of mine who is having a lot of trouble in their life at present. H…

I was curious if folks have experienced "energy shifts" when you have added or removed a tarot deck from your home/use, and how you handled it. Have you experienced shifts in the overall space, or with your other decks? (I'm a newer reader--is this question too woo? It's something I've been thinking about, and feel it's better for me now to be intentional about what I add or take away as I've felt the differences when I did things without care, e.g. adding or removing decks.)

Happy Pi Day! I was wondering if anyone has created a Spread based on the "sacred fraction" 22/7 or other metaphysical thought behind the digits of Pi? My first level of thought was to pull the 7th and 22nd cards. Then, I was considering a layout similar to: 1st row (centered) - 3 cards 2nd row - 7 cards 3rd row - 7 cards Any ideas on naming the slots for possible interpretation filters?

As I've been poking about in the help section for readings, it's kinda been tumbling around in my head - how much of a reading is the deck giving the specific cards that will have pertinence to the person pulling them specifically, and how much is it about the cards have a universal message that anyone can pick up on based on the card title and spread position alone? I've been reading Tarot at a novice level for years, and only consult the cards when I have a concern that I simply cannot find the clarity to navigate on my own. I would like to really jump in at this point and develop a relationship with my cards... Study them, learn their nuances, develop an intuitive connection with them. This may seem silly, but I feel a bit wary about doing too many readings as I'm learning. It's as if I'm afraid of watering down the magic of them, or somehow taking the wisdom for granted.
