I thought we would do a Deck Vote for last year and bring it back. This year we are asking, What was your favourite deck / decks of 2022? This might be a brand new deck you bought, a new deck that came out in 2022, an older deck or historic deck you discovered. Maybe a deck you had an interesting reading experience with or the deck or decks you read with the most? You can pick your choices however you like. Every member can vote for 2 decks and one of them must be a Tarot deck, the other can be any kind of card deck you like Vote for your 2 choices by posting the names of the decks in this thread but to make it easy to colla…

I've just got myself the TV series tarot. I can see why the series aren't identified in the LWB, (copyright reasons), which is also why the characters don't really look like the actors at all. But it does make the series harder to identify. I've got a fair way along with working out the series I think, but can anyone help with my missing cards. (or point out where I might be wrong...some of my identifications might not be right.) Many thanks for any help. Some of the series seem to match quite well to the card, House to the Hermit. Dallas/JR to the King of Pentacles etc... Fool Doctor Who Magician The Mentalist High Priestess Bewitched Empress VEEP…

I know nothing about this except the attached picture, and that it is supposed to be released in June 2018. This one won't be for me...I'm not a big TV person so I know a lot of the references will be lost on me. (I already don't know two of the shows in this picture!) But I'm sure a lot of people will love this!

I can't believe I haven't taken more note of this deck before...I think I did come across it before and liked it, but only really looked at it today. Does anyone here have this deck? I'm curious for anyone who wants to share, how does it read for you? and also what is the guidebook like? <3

Hello All! I'm going to be gifted tarot for my birthday (my husband knows me well) - and have been asked to choose a few from the Il Meneghello publishing house. I've decided to pick two of lesser value and one of higher - the two cheaper ones are Naibi Tarot by Giovanni Vacchetta, and the Minchiate Etruria. The question is now which to choose between the Sola Busca and Visconti Sforza. I'm torn!!!! What would you pick and why?

Hello! I am curious about what your favourite kind of decks are? I collect different kinds but i feel like the standard tarot decks size is too big for me. I like the playing card size better. My most used deck is the original Raider Waite deck that comes in a tin (celestial edition). I have also seen round cards, heart shaped tarot decks, star-shaped and squares. The oracle cards are usually more square like (wider) but i don't use them so much so i dint have any opinions on those. Have you seen something else? Please tell! /F ❤️

Does anyone who reads the Mary El - using and understanding all/most of the esoteric symbols and layers - have a recommendation on where to start deciphering it all? Marie White provides a decent bibliography in the back of the guidebook but I expect some positions are more illuminating than others. Like probably the selected poems of Rumi won't give me as much as "The Chemical Wedding" by Bruce Dickinson. Maybe you have your own suggestions for the most impactful book or area of study to start with? It doesn't have to be from her list. (Sorry, if there was a previous thread like this I couldn't find it, mods feel free to move this?)

I have gotten a new indigo deck. However, there are few cards which get particularly greener than others on the backside. I find it "disturbing" when pulling the card, because I may recognize the particular few cards. I worry if it will influence my pulling of the cards and readings. Should I buy a new deck do you think? Thank you.

I have the 2019. I was wondering of those of you who have the 2004 and 2019 pocket, any difference in cardstock type?

I'll start. This one is pricey, but there's obviously a lot of work behind it and it looks lively, like it might be a fun deck. One of the creators is a circus performer, so I'm sure that lends an interesting perspective. There's only three left, so if you want it, act fast: https://www.etsy.com/listing/697096776/the-tarot-of-why-original-hand-drawn Created and designed by by artist, poet and clown R. Campbell while touring the world with Cirque du Soleil And Teatro ZinZanni in North and South America, Europe and Japan. I just received a Lo Scarabeo update about another upcoming Fabio Listrani deck. I don't have any of his decks, though at least both his Tarot decks seem to have quite a following around here. Anyway, since a picture is worth a thousand words, here it is. They say it will have "special silver and black effects," by which I understand that there will be metallic black touches as well as silver.

So the Urban Outfitters have their very own exclusive version of the Circo tarot that comes in a kit with a book. They call it “How to deal”. The deck has been slightly modified and they have changed 10 cards to make it more suitable for a teenage market (I believe they removed some nudity and made some of the typically ‘scary’ cards gentler in their depictions). The cardstock is supposedly very good. I have the indie version and I did not like that cardstock at all. It is glossy and chipped almost straight away. This one is supposed to be more matte. Anyways. The deck is now available on the British site too and they are currently doing an offer of “buy two …

I like the glossy feeling of us game systems cards. Any other companies deliver cards like that?
-
it is no longer in print alas. at the fair, and the pow wow, I used to use it for everything,, it is getting broken down from wear and tear,, it doesn't shuffle like it used to alas.. poor deck. I used to shuffle it and do it randomly trusting the card would be what the was to be when it was flipped over. the other day a lady client came to me for two types of reading.. hmm I said to myself what spread to use.. then for the first time I used it how it was intended, aka not randomly but went through the deck picking out cards I felt would be good for business/work reading, and cards that would be great for relationship reading.. …

What do you think about Uusi decks? Which ones are your favorite and which ones do you work with extensively? I have looked at a few of them and I agree with the general consensus: they are unbelievably alluring and oh so exquisite. The production values of their decks are on par with the very best Tarot houses too. The only quip that I've read of was that a few think that their decks have an ice queen thing going on. Like they're gorgeous and physically faultless and all that, but tho they can be very accurate, they seem to be remote and quite difficult to bond with. Is this true in your case? So yeah, what are your experiences with Uusi decks? Would you recomme…

I wasn't sure whether this should go in tarot or oracle...but as these cards can be used with the Pagan Otherworlds I decided to put it in tarot. Uusi is releasing a limited edition set of holographic Luna Cards. They have the same backs as the Pagan Otherworlds and can be added to the deck. I don't have the Pagan Otherworlds myself, but these look very pretty! Now on pre-order, shipping begins in August: https://uusi.us/products/uusi-holographic-luna-cards?variant=8229350735933

My first Uusi deck, a few questions there are 5 moon cards, how have you used them? Love the Seeker card, from a favorite piece of art. Cardstock like silk, yum for a Pagan title, there are a surprising number of angels...erp..

OMG I am so buying the Vampirella Tarot. It would be perfect for my vampire decks sub-collection. I know it looks quite sordid and immodest and brazen and the images don't seem to relate that well to their arcanum and it might very well be just a novelty deck but I don't care, I'm going to grab this deck like no one's business. I'm curious as to what the LWB is going to say, or if it's even going to have one. I also hope that it would have the Rose arcanum. I am trying so very hard but I'm not going to fanboy on this one. No I ain't. But she really is quite a vision isn't she? ❤ Absolutely breathtaking.

Benebel Wen posted a couple of videos yesterday and today about a production issue with her new Vetruvian edition of the SKT. Luckily it is minor.

I was sad that no one had written about this deck on the forum before and been following it's progress on instagram for months and ❤️ it, so wanted to show it some love! The Vibra Tarot is a collage deck made by a tarot reader called Alice from Latvia. She has studied psychology and photography as a student and decided to make this deck out of digital collage. from her statement about the deck, "This is a timeless and vibrant collage deck of cards inspired by nature, fairytales, sci-fi, The Rider-Waite-Smith, Ancient Egypt, and the Baltics". I personally love the vibrant and colourful style, it's one of my fave artist…

Does anybody here work with the Vice Versa Tarot? How does it handle, and how did you find it? More importantly, how do you work with it? How do you know which piles to pick for example, if you can see images in the front and back? I think I should fan it and choose the cards from thence instead of cutting the deck and stacking the different piles since you'd see the topmost cards in the latter. Also, when you pick a card, do you still flip it over as you would a deck with normal backs or do you let it stay as it is? I'm inclined to favor the latter tbh. One last thing. I've got the kit and it's scheduled to be delivered this week (yay!). Anyway, I read reversals, …
