There was a thread that I discovered too late on the other forum related to this, so I wanted to bring it back here. The CC spread is widely varied and many people have their own versions that they find most useful. What is yours?

How do you guys feel about yes/no-spreads? I know it's best to ask open questions (what do I need to know, what does... mean, how can I ...) but I've been thinking about signing up for an event. I'm really curious to participate, but on the other hand I don't know if I'm ready to yet. How would you formulate the question? Somebody have a spread that could work?

Hey! I was thinking to start doing past life readings for a while- as ways to deal/understand the events of one's current cycle- would love some ideas to spreads/ insights as to how to do this!

It's just about that time, so I wanted to share this in the Tarot Spreads subforum before starting the thread for the group reading! This is a spread inspired by the Sacred Days of Yule group reading let by BlueDragonfly[/member], first at AT and now here at TT&M. The original Sacred Days of Yule spread can be found here. This Sacred Days of Midsummer spread draws on inspiration from various cultures to help us embrace the sacredness of the season of summer. Together we walk the sacred path of days around the Summer Solstice. This spread is unique in that it is a total of 12 cards, with one card meant to be drawn each day for 12 days. I'll be hosting a group …

Hi everyone! I've done several readings for a friend using the Deviant Moon Tarot. They've been on a couple of different topics, but one card has now come up in 4 readings in some different positions. I'm looking for a reading that I might use to try to find out why the card is recurring. I was thinking I would pull the card in question as kind of a "significator", then do a reading built around it. Any suggestions?

This is a lovely video from seven years ago, where Rachel showed her technique for making spreads. She used the querents own words and created spread positions based on that. She also showed an example reading based on a fictional client. ❤️ We miss you, Rachel! ❤️

Hello everyone For those of you in the U.S., Thanksgiving is coming up, and you may have to deal with relatives that you don't really get along with. This spread is to help things go a bit more smoothly. 1---2---3---4---5 1. The source of the conflict with this relative. 2. What you can do to relieve the tension. 3. How to avoid arguments with them if they insist on being argumentative. 4. How to stay calm and relaxed if they continue to get on your nerves. 5. A way to decompress and de-stress when it's all over.

X/ at first it may seem daunting to make your own spread. I actually thought when I started out that we were not supposed to make our own spreads but was supposed to stick to old celtic cross or some other spread already made up. then I saw more spreads being put to use in tarot companions books like the Arthurian tarot by Matthews had some great ones. just doing a search for tarot spreads on amazon see about 10 to 15 books listed.. why create your own spread when there are so many awesome books ? you may not have a spread book with you (though if you download them on kindle I suppose you have supply of spreads if you order every bok ). the spread may not fit th…

This spread was designed as a part of a very powerful New Moon ritual that I performed to strengthen psychic visions and gaining access to what I call the Great Void (it sort of acts as a portal to Axis Mundi.). You can view all the details on this ritual here: https://www.thetarotforum.com/magic-witchcraft/new-moon-ritual-working-with-crow-energy-a-spread-for-tapping-into-the-void/msg54856/#msg54856 but this spread can surely also be used on its own. And you are free to tweak it any way you like so that it better resonates with your circumstances, experiences and beliefs. In fact, I believe that the more you make it your own - the better it will work for you. The Aby…

Hi everyone, I've been on Tarotsphere lately, but I was on Aeclectic for a few years before that. I've just posted a new spread that I wrote on Tarotsphere, and I was hoping I could get some feedback from you as well. Please let me know what you think. ** The Metronome and the Pendulum are both spreads that look back, to provide details and clarity to events and time periods already past. These periods might have been confusing at the time, or else there was simply no opportunity for reflection, and all you could do then was react. Now, having moved on, you have the knowledge and hindsight to examine these events. The Metronome and the Pendulum are effectivel…

It's my birthday in about a week so I wondered if any of you have any fun spreads I could try out? My Wild Unknown has a suggestion for a year ahead-spread with 13 cards so that's a candidate, but maybe you know of anything else :)

Hey guys! I'm most positive that there's a spread out there very similar to this one, but I created a spread that seems to work very well for me on forecasting the week ahead in a bit more detail with less cards! A quick rundown in text as well! 1. Overall Theme - This is what the overall theme of the week will be! 2. What to Do - This is what you should do over the course of that week, whether it be a physical activity, or mental prep, what have you! 3. Insight/Advice - This will act as a clarification for card #2, giving you some insight as to why you must do this, what to look out for, or advice on how to do it! 4. What NOT to Do - This is what you should…

I came across this spread on the Tarot in a Teacup blog and thought it looked really fascinating. This is actually why I'm currently looking for a copy of her book Tarot Wisdom! The spread is done in the shape of an inverted pentagram. Picture with spread positions attached. 1 3 6 4 5 2 1. What have I lost? 2. What blocks me from returning? 3. What illusory chains hold me? 4. What reality holds me? 5. How can I free myself? 6. What will happen?

Kelly-Ann Maddox recently shared these awesome three-card spreads on her Youtube-channel ( ). She has designed them herself and they are all centered around self-care. If you watch her video she will explain every position more in depth, but here is the short version: SPREAD POSITIONS: 1 2 3 Cords and Ties 1 – Which cords should be cut? 2 – Which ties should be bound? 3 – How to find the strength to make it so Life Influences 1 – Which childhood influences are having an effect? 2 – Which adolescent influences are having an effect? 3 – Which adult influences are having an effect? The Helper 1 – Whereabouts can you be of service effectively? …

This isn't just about Gods, it is about pretty much every spiritual influence in your life... so if let's say you're christian... this will be about god's influence in your life... if you're Politheist, it will be about those gods that are into the Egregoire you believe, that you are into. I like to do this spread right after i do my "Spread of the Month" , As that spread will show how things are here in this existence, let's say this way, This spread will show how things are going "up there" or how we are with our spiritual path; 1 - How Gods are helping me 2 - How Gods are testing me 3 - Obstacles that gods put in my way 4 - Lesson to be learned 5 - What the God…

Many past members on AT will remember this reading/spread. http://www.bellaonline.com/ArticlesP/art26918.asp The original article. Here is the spread by June Kaminski: __________________________________________________ __________ The Sacred Days of Yule Spread is great for helping you to embrace the sacredness of this festive season. This is an advanced spread for any level of reader to use during the Yule time from December 20th to 31st. This spread is unique because it is done over these twelve days. You need to find a quiet private space to progress through this spread, since a card is added and left on the wheel as each day passes. PRIMARY USES To help …

Jumping in on the spreads for Imbolc! Here is a lovely spread by Christine Jette, from her book Tarot for All Seasons. Brid is another form of the name Brighid, the powerful Celtic goddess, also known as the Catholic saint depending on your path. I feel this spread can also be used throughout the year, especially if you have a devotion to Brighid. From the book: February can be the harshest winter month, yet just beneath the snow, new life grows. Celebrate growth and new beginnings. Use the Brid's Wheel spread to make plans, gain strength, heal, and attain creative inspiration. Weave together your heart's desire on the last snowflake of winter, and await the prom…

I cobbled this from an initial interview spread, adding another question that resonated with me. I have previously used this on my Centennial and Barbara Walker, and I also plan to use this on my Wild Unknown and Modern Spellcaster's. I will put these readings up on my Readings Journal thread and then post the links here later. I hope that you find it useful too. Enjoy! Edit: from Daniel's comment in another thread, I'm glad to finally find out where it is from. I only wrote it in my written Tarot journal, and I wasn't able to trace back its provenance until now. It seems like it is a spread created by FireRaven, which she acknowledged was inspired by the deck intervie…

I made this spread in the summer, but it's much more suiting to this season! A bit of shadow work inspired by carving a jack o'Lantern! 1. The Pumpkin - You, as a whole. A card the represents your fullest self. 2. The Carving - The part of you that have been lost, cut away. 3. The Candle - You inherently carry great beauty inside. This card will show how the cracks let the light shine out.
