Lenormand

General discussion on the Lenormand.

When I am doing readings back to back, sometimes I like to keep using a certain deck, and I switch decks between readings. Just my thing. I grab a "fresh" deck that's in order. Again, just how I roll, we all do it the way we do it. So having more than one of some of the decks I read a lot with helps. They're not back ups, they're literally back-to-back decks. For me, reall's Ancient Lenormand, Seven Stars Vintage Lenormand are two of those decks. While I love other decks, and Robyn's/Chronata's Petit Lenormand Noir is one I am especially, not that easy to get another of. SO which of your Lenormands, FOR WHATEVER REASON, do you have two of, or…

@katrinka In her seminal work, the Oracle of Mlle Lenormand, Erna Droesbeke presented two reading methods for reading the full-board or grand tableau. Essentially, these are the past, the present and the future variation and classical proximity. The former was titled the four quadrants, which Droesbeke also illustrates with a classical carré of 9. The carré is a good primer for her full-board method as it presents the scheme. It is laid out as indicated below. The first card refers to the recent past which affects the present. The second card indicates the present influence. The third card is the future develop…

I was wondering how do the Lenormand communicate when they want you to stop. When you do lots of readings for an issue, or made many times the same question. Tarot have particular cards to tell you this. I was thinking that maybe they start to say things that don't make sense to you. Any ideas or experience?

Hi everyone, I’m curious how you guys read cards when you’re asking them what course of action to take. I find that oftentimes they only describe my current issue, and I get confused where to look for the advice itself. A recent example: Whip + Lilies + Fish + Bear + Bouquet. My mother has found herself in a difficult situation because she has to take care of her sick parents, while her sister refuses to help. I asked the cards what steps mother should take next, but this line just reflects her problem: a conflict in the family over resources and efforts to organize my grandmother’s care. But where’s the advice? Do I look at the opening cards - to …

While I don't have a HUGE collection of Lenormands, and that's what I read most with, Lenormands, I love the ones I have. ALL of them for different reasons. I have no desire to ever part from them. But some are harder to replace than others. I wouldn't part with my Le Petit Lenormand Noir by Chronata aka Robyn Tisch Hollister for anything. I don't even know if there was ever even a second ed. Anyone else know?? One of Seven Stars limited ed Samhain Lenormands (can't remember which ed, I think she did three consecutive years?). These two I think would be harder to replace, but I love all my Lenormands. All…

I've seen different methods for reading the *corners* of a Tableau. My question is about a 6x6 GT --- but I think it applies to any type of tableau. Let's call the corners: A, B for the top and X, Y for the bottom [left to right] Do YOU read AB XY [i.e. top pair and bottom pair] or AY BX [criss cross] maybe even ABYX [a circle] What is your favorite method?

Okay, so I've been reading Grand Tableaus for a few years now and am still learning some new things. I love the G.T.s, and have offered them to many family members, friends and a few other people as well with surprisingly good results and amazingly (sometimes) very accurate predictions! YEA! But the one thing that always stumps me is when doing the G.T. and the man card falls in the house of the Lady card or vice-versa. Then many months ago, I read somewhere - (online? in my many Lenny books?) that the man card landing in the house of the lady, points to a couple. And, viola! I thought, "THATS GREAT!!!" and even had this happen for a reading for someone…

While I was searching for decks I came across this obvious pirated version of Rana George's deck. There are several stores on Etsy selling her deck. I asked Rana on Insta if she was aware she was of course disgusted but said it was US Games to sort it out. Anyone know how to go about that? https://www.etsy.com/listing/1045663966/rana-george-lenormand-oracle-cards-a-42

Hi all, I've been looking for new ways to integrate Lenormand into my daily routine. Daily readings have become a bit lackluster as I work from home and will likely have the exact same day over and over again until April or May when the warm weather comes. However, I have been binge-watching a few shows at night (The Bear and Ted Lasso) and I actually bring my cards with me to the couch. I do a reading in between episodes to see what's coming up in the next episode and have had great success. Just wanted to pass the idea along to anyone trying to learn Lenormand or exercise their cards.

Ever since I began reading my Lenormand spreads with houses, I've noticed that I have cards on their own houses, and frequently enough that it's caught my attention. Who else has seen this same situation pop up during their Lenormand readings? I've gotten "Rider" on its own house, "Clouds" on their own house, "Clover" on its own house and "Snake" on its own house. I have some interpretations: Rider + Rider = extremely fast moving news and a lot of it Snake + Snake = ambitious deception 😬 Clouds + Clouds = a tremendous amount of confusion Clover + Clover = super luck/risky opportunity/lucky opportunity But I do want other thoughts…

Some decks have extra man and woman cards, I have read that some readers leave the extras in the deck in order to address same sex relationships. Do you always use just one man and one women in your decks or do you use extras as well. I also read that the Rider card 1 can represent a partner, more comonly a male, although I have seem decks that have a female rider. What other cards in the deck can be used for expressing a same sex relationship? I noticed in the Kipper decks there is at least an extra male card to represent an older man. How close in Kipper to Lenormand? I know that they share some common cards. I haven’t really studied Kipper cards, alt…

Do you have a favorite spread that's your go-to? Favorite techniques you always use with certain spreads? By Spread I mean the shape you lay [line, tableau, pyramid, etc.] and by technique, things like mirroring, knighting, MOD, chaining, houses, etc. I've studied and tried many different spreads and techniques. Like everyone, I started with lines. I tried crosses. Pyramids. Traditional GT, etc. etc. The most common, 9-card tableau, I've never been able to read. Some techniques I use exclusively on Lines [mirroring] while other techniques I use on GTs [MOD, houses] After much trial and error my sweet spot is to lay a full GT over …

Hello, I hope I'm asking this in the right section of the forum, I have a quick question about a lenormand deck. I recently purchased a mini Daveluy Lenormand from thegameofhope shop. I tested out roughly the size of the mini with a ruler before deciding and went with a mini. Since that deck has both verses and card inserts, I'm wondering now if maybe the mini will be too mini. I've been poking around on the web for size example of a mini traditional deck with card inserts but have not found any. If there are members here with a copy of a thegameofhope repro mini with inserts could you possibly share a size comparison? And are the images and inserts clearly se…

So all this activity lately in the Lenormand section has got me working with my own deck more. I'm very much a beginner, still working on the basic pairs and triplets. But curiosity struck (happens frequently). What is the benefit of using playing card inserts in Lenormand? What's the point of them? For the record, my current Lenormand deck doesn't have them. I just have the Mystical Lenormand by Regula Elizabeth Fiechter, painted by Urban Trösch.

Hey all! I was wondering if you find any significance when the cards fall in line, like the numbers follow each other one line that comes from 1 to 5 or 15 - 19 etc. In Tarot it is significant for me because every suit has its story and when the cards come in line then is like the story follows as it goes etc But Lenormand seem to be more random. Does anyone sees it a bit differently?

The cross looks pretty plain I like the rider as it appears he is posing It says by marie lenormand.. I don't like that for obivously she didn't make it. So wonder who the artist was. I find the blue in the mountain hints at a waterfall?

I managed to find Andy Boroveshengra's book today and consequently thought I'd work through his Grand Tableau. The first three cards are denoted as being a message for the querent. I thought these cards were interesting, as I am currently packing up boxes to move to another state. Hence it being quite miraculous to find Andy's book, as just about all others have been packed ready for the move. I'm reading these three cards as saying there will be definite problems with the move. Not what I really wanted to hear but the key at the end seems to indicate "yes" to what is to the left - a problematic move. I have been worried about the logistics of the move, as it …

MAY 5th, 2018 I did this reading a few weeks back after 3 weeks of waiting... When will the reimbursement be paid to replace my item? I was sitting down at a cafe or in a food court on this day and decided to try my hand at "timing" only using a system that was different to mine. I ended up doing a number of combinations as possible. I think that was actually done better than what I jotted down for the reading itself! ;D 02 09 27 28 05 For this I used these three cards: Clover(02)+Bouquet(09)+Tree(05). Letter and Man were not used as I do not see them as timing cards at all. I suppose the numbers could be used, but I didn't do that. I came up wi…

She gave me permission to post about it and show a few samples. Here is the email i received from her: "Here's a few of the Lenormands. It's a limited edition. I wanted it to be all fall colors....lots of yellows & oranges, falling leaves from trees, a lot of hints at Samhain but not a full every single card is halloween kind of thing. With the birds I wanted it to be like, "empty nest syndrome"....by fall, all the baby birds have left the nest. And of course, bats in the belfry for the Tower, stuff like that. Should have it …
