Donnaleigh has a few links to websites for downloading free lenormand decks. This one I like a lot: https://www.wopc.co.uk/germany/vss/lenormand but is this really ok to download and print for personal use with regards to copyright? Of course I sent 2 messages already to the owner of the website and a message on Twitter but I am not getting any reply..... I would buy it but where I am we have extreme difficulties in getting mail in right now....

This was too good to leave buried in another thread. So others can easily find it. I thought personally it was just a gt techique due to the house hopping/chain of houses. I didn't know there was a big difference!!.

@katrinka In her seminal work, the Oracle of Mlle Lenormand, Erna Droesbeke presented two reading methods for reading the full-board or grand tableau. Essentially, these are the past, the present and the future variation and classical proximity. The former was titled the four quadrants, which Droesbeke also illustrates with a classical carré of 9. The carré is a good primer for her full-board method as it presents the scheme. It is laid out as indicated below. The first card refers to the recent past which affects the present. The second card indicates the present influence. The third card is the future develop…

I know we all have our preference in decks. To me, what one likes, resonates is, is all that matters. SO, here are my make it or break it for a Lenormand: NAMES - if you call the Scythe, SCISSORS, I'm not there. Renaming, totally reimagining a traditional Lenormand card is a deal breaker for me. Yes, I can get USED to it, but I want to look at card, out of the box, and go DOG, CLOVER, etc. IMAGES - Again, if you have Scissors for Scythe, um no. If you have a Bird swooping in on a Mouse, no. PLAYING CARD IMAGES - I don't read playing cards, don't want to, and don't see the need for playing card IMAGES that ta…

...and I don't recommend this one for beginners https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/welkin/the-beatles-tarot-revised-and-the-beatles-lenormand I passed on the Tarot - yet another collagey thing - but that Yellow Submarine Lenormand just grabbed me. My childhood years were Beatles years. (And while I'm technically one of those much-reviled Boomers, I didn't have the Boomer experience of a 50's childhood, protesting the Vietnam war, running off to San Francisco or going to Woodstock - my contemporaries were the Runaways....that feeling of seeing a photo and thinking "Me AF!" FINALLY somebody was representing US.) But I grew up with the Beatles, from Kin…

When I am doing readings back to back, sometimes I like to keep using a certain deck, and I switch decks between readings. Just my thing. I grab a "fresh" deck that's in order. Again, just how I roll, we all do it the way we do it. So having more than one of some of the decks I read a lot with helps. They're not back ups, they're literally back-to-back decks. For me, reall's Ancient Lenormand, Seven Stars Vintage Lenormand are two of those decks. While I love other decks, and Robyn's/Chronata's Petit Lenormand Noir is one I am especially, not that easy to get another of. SO which of your Lenormands, FOR WHATEVER REASON, do you have two of, or…

Greetings everyone, Below is a sample of the Thelema Lenormand, by Renata Lechner. The cards were chosen for variety and are not from a reading. Thus far it is my go-to Lenormand, at just the start of my journey. I had a tryst with the Gilded Reverie for about a week last year; beatiful pack but we did not end up clicking. This one, however, has some attributes I love: Larger, vibrant images straightforward, good for a beginner lovely artwork and traditional in approach. take a look and tell us what you think, if you use it, etc. It just seems a bit under the radar right now; the deck is not even regis…

Hello, I hope I'm asking this in the right section of the forum, I have a quick question about a lenormand deck. I recently purchased a mini Daveluy Lenormand from thegameofhope shop. I tested out roughly the size of the mini with a ruler before deciding and went with a mini. Since that deck has both verses and card inserts, I'm wondering now if maybe the mini will be too mini. I've been poking around on the web for size example of a mini traditional deck with card inserts but have not found any. If there are members here with a copy of a thegameofhope repro mini with inserts could you possibly share a size comparison? And are the images and inserts clearly se…

This will tell you how out of touch I am. Apparently this deck has been selling for a year or so, and I just bumped into it by chance! It has the extra, sexed up Man and Woman cards of the original and long OOP self-published edition, plus a few other additional cards. So --who else has it, who uses it? Love, hate, meh?

I've started out with the Lenormand and I am looking for ways to keep up with my study and practice of it. I was wondering if there's a study group, or could we perhaps start one? Even reliable Youtube resources that I can watch would be good. Basically something to add another dimension to my learning.

Hi, I'm mostly an astrologer who is new to reading Lenormand. When I watched Lenormand readers on YouTube, I noticed some parallels with the form of astrology I read most often, horary. Horary astrology is very practical and is used for concrete predictions. Lenormand is used in similar situations, but I find it to be chattier, offering more detail. When I use astrology for the connecting structure and Lenormand for the details, I find the two used together can be quite accurate and descriptive. This is an astrological GT spread. It's the first reading I did using my GT "cheat sheet" that shows the positions 1-36, with three positions in each ast…

Are the general thoughts on plus/minus/neutrals consistent? Is the idea even relevant or something tacked on in recent history? Sorry to be so full of questions, I learn by immersion and in the last month I've read so much as to be dizzy. Eventually a lot will fall away I'm sure... I hope enough sticks to make my Lenormand journey as enjoyable and useful as my tarot journey has been.

Was that just an idea that fizzled? There haven't been any posts since 2014 and the blogs are mostly long gone it links to. I very much enjoyed the interview with Lauren Forestell and look forward to her sales site reopening. Just curious, thanks.

I'm getting back into creating new Lenormand spreads. This one reads a bit similar to a GT but the structure is atypical so a different pattern-reading paradigm has to be considered (I don't have a good one yet but I'm pondering). There are details on how to use it at this link: https://parsifalswheeldivination.com/2020/04/18/the-lenormand-lozenge-24-card-tableau/

this has to be easier than I'm thinking it. Houses = grand tableau laid out in card order, House 1 is rider, House 36 is Cross. Yes? So if I do a 3 card spread and take houses into account, are the houses always Rider/Clover/Ship? Regardless of how many 3 card spreads I do, with however many different questions? I love the idea of houses creating deeper readings, but coming from tarot maybe that is unnecessary filler? Or absolutely pointless unless a grand layout?

I've started a study of Lenormand to keep my brain occupied and ran across this image today, can you identify the deck? It was on the https://www.worlddivinationassociation.com/post/2016/12/04/which-lenormand-spread-to-use blog and I was quite cross that they didn't identify it. Cross enough I didn't go further into the site...but then I'm crabby.

I just bought the Old Style Lenormand and decided to put it through my "deck interview" reading. This spread is my own creation that doesn't follow any traditional model for card interaction (except perhaps with a nod to Andy's "left-and-right" meanings), but it's fun to do. https://parsifalswheeldivination.com/2020/03/12/the-old-style-lenormand-attitude-check/

J.E. Stretch the guy who made the Stretch Tarot has launched a Kickstarter for his new Lenormand in the same style as the Tarot deck, the Kickstarter is here I was totally into the Stretch Tarot from @Raggydoll raving about it and it came about by Kickstarter and is now sold as a deck from his website that anyone can get. He takes public domain vintage photos and illustrations and creates collages on the cards. I loved the tarot deck for it's diversity, it had real minority representation and diversity in sex and gender and it's a lovely deck. I love the art and style of his work, it's beautifully made. Now he is making a Lenormand wit…

******* this thread is still a good thread to say what Lenormand is/are your favorite deck(s) but the votes are ended with regard to the classification/list of the decks ******* Hello guys! Everything is in the title "What is/are your favorite Lenormand deck(s)?" I modified the initial title/question which was "What is the best Lenormand deck for you?" because "best" wasn't clear enough maybe, actually I meant the deck that you love the most, with regard to its particular art, the "soul behind" or something. If you are hesitating between two, you can mention 2 or even 3 favorite Lenormand decks (but no more than 3 choices please!); I will…
