I wouldn't say "very" - that would require splitting hairs: the Lilies should be white, and the fish should be a school of fish in the ocean. Goldfish just don't say "money/abundance" the way a big catch does. And it would be better with insets, especially for someone still learning so they can note the face cards and the suits. But it isn't bad. And I can't throw stones, my beloved Schmidt has an aquarium on the Fish card.
Niobium Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 The Forgotten Legends Tarot is now shipping! https://modernmagic.ru/magazin/product/taro-zabytyh-legend I've been waiting for this one for months. What a nice email to get this morning.
Raggydoll Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 The postwoman just brought me the Witches wisdom tarot! I wasn’t planning on purchasing a deck this year. I had two preorders coming but that was it. Then I heard that Danielle Barlow had illustrated a deck.... Danielle is a really talented British artist who did the Green Wheel Oracle. I also have her seasonal greeting cards. They are stunning! I will post more pictures shortly in our unboxing thread, but I will say that it’s incredible that you can purchase a mass produced deck of this quality these days! Exciting!!

Oh yes Decan, it only must pass the in-person test. That specific time when we are seeing if a deck we've been enamoured with in pictures truley resonates with us in hand. I"m nearly certain this specific Lenormand will!

With Lenormand we deal with the meanings first, the images on the cards are just there to remind the meanings but that's all, at least it's what I understand. With Tarot the images have likely more importance. Since I love beautiful decks of cards I understand of course but with Lenormand what is the most important is that you resonate with the method more than with the cards. I took a little break from Lenormand lately but often I just took a quick look at the cards and was in my mind with the meanings and the possible combinations, not so much with the cards. Well, maybe I'm all wrong, lol 🙂 It's important to don't "tarotize" Lenormand, it's what I want to say.

It is, to say the least, certainly a different experience! WHen it arrives I'll take more pics and post in the unboxing thread. Thanks!

Mab Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I have had an exceptional month. Firstly, bought the Granny Jones Australian Tarot from a lovely woman. Never thought I'd get my hands on one. 🤸♀️ Then I've just bought the Spirit Keeper's Tarot, Vitruvian version!🤸♀️ Can't wait for postie... Love the art on the Witches Wisdom deck... I haven't seen Danielle's oracle deck. I have one of Phyllis Curott's books somewhere, and enjoyed it.

NA01 Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 I got the Edgar Allan Poe Tarot. I'm liking the companion book already.
LogicalHue Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 I've waffled on the Light Visions Tarot for a while, but I ordered it other day and got my tracking emailed to me! I'm excited that the current edition is matt and very glad I didn't get a shiny one earlier!
cosita Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Waiting for Fantastic Menagerie and the Lua Tarot. Everything's taking a bit longer than I hoped and I'm also guessing it's the anticipation that's making the wait more agonizing!
fire cat pickles Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Waiting on Tarot of the Black Mountain--a replacement for which I have been looking for for years and a deck that I regretfully traded out years ago and have been waiting to get back. It is the one deck I wished I had never gotten rid of.
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Lena gifted me a copy with the book, it was quite a project and close to her heart. I'm still waiting on my little Dinosaures de Marseille Tarot, wiggling like a new puppy, with anticipation!
Decan Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 I ordered the Palekh playing cards (below a pic) from a seller in Russia. There are beautiful and I hesitated last year to do so.
LogicalHue Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 I'm excited! It'll take a while for me to open 'em up.
LogicalHue Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Whoops, didn't realize Dark Wood is gigantic, gotta move up my re-arrangement plans!

Is it really that big? I have just ordeded it and I love the pictures and I can´t wait.. But..oh boy..! If the cards are that big even trimming off the edges won't help much at all..😭

I have two other decks in boxes that size and the cards are totally normal size. You should be fine! It was just the surprise shelf space for me, I had everything all planned out!
Decan Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 (edited) Regarding RAVN IIII playing cards there is finally 1 month more to wait, so it won't be produced for December but for January (they sent the files in September...). I regret to have backed this Kickstarter, when it's long like that it's just too much, and it's really possible I receive them without any enthusiam. I remember the Pagan Otherworld that took more than 1 year to come, a mess, and I never used it. Otherwise my Palekh playing cards are ready to leave Moscow! I'll be happy to receive them (with another I bought, something very elegant by piatnik: the Golden Age playing cards). My seller is honest (I ordered something from him last year) so it's okay; I didn't find these cards here. Edited December 3, 2020 by Decan
Mab Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 I bought a Light Seer deck, 2nd hand, purposely, from an address in England, only to find it wasn’t genuine.🙁 It went back. But I have bought the Otherworld!

You were right! The deck arrived and the cards are just perfect! I'm so happy. I may want to trim off the edges later as I love small decks. But not sure yet. This is a lovely deck. Much nice than I anticipated!
legendaryelement Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 My package from Lunaria Gold in Gatineau QC has arrived!!! The light is almost gone, so I am going to try to hold off until tomorrow to see them in true glory! Pics wouldn’t turn out right now ...
