I am still with the Diamond Tarot this week!

I didn't have the chance to even open the box last week. When I did just now, I realized the cards were still in their cellophane! Since I really don't want to decrease their value by 50% (I am a collector), I will be returning this lovely deck to my display case and getting out my Kabbalische Tarot this week 🙂

Hey there, everybody!  Happy Juneteenth!

Continuing with my “in the order they were received” decks, this week will be Abstract Futures Tarot by Hilma’s Ghost.  It’s a tribute to artist Hilma af Klint.  Wikipedia:

Hilma af Klint (26 October 1862 – 21 October 1944) was a Swedish artist and mystic whose paintings are considered among the first abstract works known in Western art history. A considerable body of her work predates the first purely abstract compositions by Kandinsky, Malevich and Mondrian. She belonged to a group called “The Five,” comprising a circle of women inspired by Theosophy, who shared a belief in the importance of trying to contact the so-called “High Masters”—often by way of séances. Her paintings, which sometimes resemble diagrams, were a visual representation of complex spiritual ideas.

I found it when I was researching abstract decks for my tarot society presentation on Taro as Colour, and definitely had to have it!  I have no art background, but I really like geometric art, and decks, of course!  (See the linked presentation for my other geometric abstract art decks.)

There’s no booklet.  There are short meanings, with reversals, for the cards on the website.  Nice wrap-around box with ribbon.  Edges are a glittery gold.  (Glitter came off at first, but I think it’s done shedding now!)  I’m looking forward to finding out how it reads.

And on to the interview!

What is your most important characteristic?  VII Pentacles

It was created for the love (7=Venus) of art, and making art into a physical item (pents) that anyone can own.

What is your strength?  Empress

What is your weakness?  Emperor

I swear I shuffled!  Comparing the two, I see the Empress is more exuberant and full, not only of items but also of movement.  Emperor seems lonely and almost overwhelmed by the dark.  So the deck is strong in beauty, enjoyment, and abundance.  It’s weak when it’s pared down to follow the rules.

What can you teach me?  VI Cups

Love and happiness!  I’ll take it!  Meta:  How to appreciate emotions transmitted by abstract art.

How can I learn it from you?  VII Wands

It will be a struggle to learn it, but I’ll enjoy the struggle!

What will be the outcome of our work together?  Knight of Cups

I will learn the lesson (knight) about emotions (cups).  I might even fall in love with the deck!

Well, we’ll see about that, won’t we!

Absolutely fascinating! Thank you for sharing all of this Rachelcat! 🥰 Wow! I can't believe that's a 78-card deck. So gorgeous!!! Also, that's a honey of a website. 😍

Hi guys ♥

for the remainder of this week I am going to do a 1 card draw from the Soulflower Oracle.

After the last week I need something affirmative and uplifting.

This week: Kipper Cards (Alexandre Musruck)  and Flonz Victorian Lenormand (on poker chips)

A few months ago, I made a chart for the Lenormand grand tableau on the back of an old game board and really enjoyed it. Then yesterday, while delving into Musruck's Kipper book, I started wondering where I would find another suitable game board for the Kipper grand tableau. And it hit me... Just turn the board 180 degrees and write the Kipper card titles on the end opposite of the Lenormand titles. 💡😁

Thanks Fire cat!

@Madame Squee, that's a great idea using the game board!

This reading is for a seeker who has been waiting to hear back on a job interview. They want to know what will be the response from the prospective employer.

The middle card is the topic of the reading. The left card  describes the topic. The card on the right is the answer or "punctuation" to the reading.

Unfortunately, A Pleasant Letter modified by Sad News looks like a rejection letter. The Good Lady on the right is a character card. She represents a mature person, an ally, a positive influence. This card may also can represent a situation that requires time to mature. Since The Good Lady is turned away from the letter, I feel like she's not on board with the rejection of the seeker's application.

My feeling upon viewing these cards was that although this particular job may not materialize, another one could come about for this seeker due to the influence of a person within the organization who is kindly disposed toward them. (Maybe The Good Lady was the person who interviewed the seeker.)

Finally, the Birds can represent twos and that attribute adds support to my impression that a second job with this employer is coming available. Also, I feel like the appearance of The Birds means the seeker has made an exciting impression at the organization to the point that people are discussing them.

Ultimately, I feel like this is a classic case of being the second choice for the job. That, or the first choice for this job won't work out.

From the Sun and Moon Tarot, the Ace of Pentacles; from the Jade Oracle, Coatlicue:

Prudence is foresight and far-sightedness. It's the ability to make immediate decisions on the basis of their longer-range effects.
~John Ortberg

This disk has little sprouts emerging from its sides - an indication that a creative project or opportunity is waiting on our doorstep like an Amazon package. It is said when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. In this case, the resources needed have appeared. Time to open that box and investigate its contents! Coatlicue (depicted with a skirt of snakes) was the mother of many deities. When sixty gift-bearers arrived to see her, they were unable to climb the hill she was on. She warned them that the Aztec empire would fall because “they had grown too heavy from all their rich foods and beautiful clothing.” And indeed it did. These cards suggest prudence and the right use of our time, energy and resources; a balance of effort and enjoyment is needed so that we don't waste the gifts we've been given.
