Expected Release Date: May 2025 Edited November 17, 2024 by Morsoth
Toreador Posted January 5 Posted January 5 The second Anima Antiqua release for 2025 is the Gassmann Tarot. I like how the series is turning its attention towards the Marseille, releasing two decks in as many years after a long spell of only offering the 1760 Conver.
Morsoth Posted January 5 Posted January 5 This is great! I agree, I'm also very happy to see more Tarot de Marseille in the line! Thanks for the update!

gregory Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Great. As I ordered from them recently, I would have been annoyed if I'd missed one (I save up my order till I qualify for free postage.)
Morsoth Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Received my Tarot de Marseille: Gassmann today, #3398! I ordered this one from Amazon, so I'm guessing you received yours already, gregory!
gregory Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Not yet as I am away. I will have it very soon. I order direct from LoS.
gregory Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Weird - it didn't' appear on the LS site so I bought one from amazon too.
Morsoth Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Yeah, well, I've been pre-ordering them on Amazon.com since the last time (in 2022, I think?), both sets cost me twice as much because of import taxes, customs, and the conversion to Canadian dollars. It was way too expensive. I've never had a problem with Amazon and they always arrive on time.
Toreador Posted Tuesday at 10:22 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:22 AM The first Anima Antiqua offering for 2026 has finally been unveiled, and it is initially set for a June release. It's the original Etteilla Tarot - le Jeu de Toth. Tarot de Etteilla (1880 CA) Explore the celebrated and unconventional tarot of Etteilla—a pivotal figure of esotericism in 1789—in this new, limited edition Anima Antiqua deck. Jean-Baptiste Alliette—also known as Etteilla—was an occultist, researcher, and important figure of history. This deck is the philological reproduction of a tarot deck he designed, which connects the Arcana to other divinatory practices. Printed on high quality card stock and packaged in a premium box with a lift-top lid, this limited-edition deck is a must-have for historians and tarot collectors.
Morsoth Posted Tuesday at 07:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:57 PM (edited) Nice!!! Thank you for the update! I'm very glad they picked this one for the next batch. I made my own version in 2020, but I'll gladly add this one to the collection. Not sure why they put "1880 CA" as this deck was created in 1788 (or 1789 like mentioned in the text). Also, lets hope the cards don't have rounded corners like the preview... There is three versions based on this model (Etteilla I) and I think they have chosen the best of the three. Now, lets hope they release an Etteilla II (1938) and an Etteilla III (1870) decks in the future! Edited Tuesday at 08:01 PM by Morsoth
gregory Posted Tuesday at 08:02 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:02 PM That sounds great. Is their 2026 catalogue out yet ?
