Natural Mystic Guide Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 I'm looking forward to continued study of the Ark Tarot and Oracle card deck by Bernadette King.
fire cat pickles Posted August 26, 2024 Author Posted August 26, 2024 Welcome back @PathWalker and @Natural Mystic Guide!
Bodhiseed Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 I'm in with the Tabula Mundi Tarot paired with the Words of Brehon Oracle - thank you Fire cat! A great deal of energy is wasted in hating people, and I can honestly say I’ve no wish to expend such a precious resource on being outraged about anyone. —Kevin McCloud Known for her good heart, this Queen is industrious, resourceful and practical. She is a firm believer that people should have the basic necessities and tools to thrive. Like the goat above her, she'll climb any mountain to make that possible when it comes to her family or close circle of friends. The Words of the Brehon suggest that quarreling, anger and drunkenness can make a fool of a wise person. Even the Queen, as grounded as she is, can lose her clarity of mind when intoxicated by emotions or alcohol. Our time and energy deserve to be put to better use.
Rachelcat Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Hi, all! And thanks @fire cat pickles as always! @Bodhiseed, the Tabula Mundi is on my list of future decks of the week. I look forward to seeing what you do with it! This week will be a repeat of Splendor Solis Tarot. I need to work with it some more to nail down how to read the non-tarot majors and the very kabalistic minors. The booklet is a little too woo, but the minors based on the sephiroth is actually how I read minors. I used Stephen Skinner’s book on the Splendor Solis for help with the majors and (of course) came up with my own keywords for them, based on the Latin mottos in the illustrations. I also reverse-engineered the way the minors have inner and outer frames of the Splendor Solis illustrations / majors. So let’s see what we can do this week! Hmm, all majors and courts. Priestess Royal=Page is the white queen in the Mercury major, Priest Royal=Knight is the red king in the Moon major. What is your most important characteristic? Priest Royal of the Golden Earth, Knight of Pentacles The most important thing about this deck is its physical characteristics, it has beauty (golden earth) AND the creator has moved it on (priest royal, knight) to the next step with the minors. More meta, this card illustrates almost all of the combining of artistic elements used by the creator. What is your strength? Priestess Royal of the Golden Earth, Page of Pentacles Same. Page of earth, doubling down on the physical qualities of the deck. Your weakness? Mithralya, Sunrise Very meta here: The titles/keywords of the creator are let’s just say idiosyncratic. I can’t find in the booklet right now the meaning of Mithralya. I choose to make this card sunrise not sunset, even though it is the last major (like the World). What can I learn from you? Triple Dragon, Sun You can see the sun in his chariot at the top of the illustration. The surrounding illustration shows fun and games and enjoyment of court, where the king reigns (bottom left). The alchemical flask is also crowned. It contains a dragon with the three colors of three main alchemical operations. I can learn to pay more attention to details and shine light on the alchemical information it contains. How can I learn it? Priest Royal of Living Fire, Knight of Wands You see how all the knights look alike, with just a different colored border. To learn more about alchemy and what this deck is about, I’ll have to take positive action and move forward step by step. What will be the outcome of our work together? Golden King, Water In the background the old king drowns, while the new king has his crown, orb, and scepter, and is visited by a dove. I will feel more in tune with alchemy even though I might not learn a lot, it will feel (water) like I’ve mastered (king) something. Well, we’ll see!
Bodhiseed Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 @Rachelcat, that is such a beautiful deck, but it seems like it would take a lot of study to work with it. It doesn't seem to deter you though! 😊❤️

Mi-Shell Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Oooh! I do like that Hoatzin!♥ ! I will be another week with my new Wild and Sacred Feminine Deck. The Rebel with her apples - from last week's thread and the Shape Shifter are for sure among my favorite cards.
Mi-Shell Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 Well, today my card is "the Traveller" That is very fitting, because we will be leaving here on September 1st and travel down south for 3 months. Lots of preparations and I will have to choose a few more decks to put into our motor home for giving free readings on the road! Take care you all until December! ♥

PathWalker Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Interesting deck, a bit convoluted if you read all the various ways you can play with it, but can be read just as you see it if you want to https://www.thetarotforum.com/forums/topic/16481-under-the-tree/?do=findComment&comment=280142
