Can I hi-jack the thread slightly to remind folks I'm collecting cards for Patchwork decks (in subscribers section of this forum)? If you have un-needed spare cards I would appreciate them.

Just received an email from LS saying that now the bulk of their deliveries are done they will be looking into the issues with the deck.  They also ask that if you have any problems you get in touch with them

If Lo Scarabeo will have to send one or two cards to a majority of their backers internationally, phew!...

 

Better to check everything before than after!

I followed this project on Kickstarter because I was close to support it but finally didn't.

Remember that we have only heard about the duplicate/missing cards etc from backers who have a problem. I, for instance, am one who didn't. I'm sure there are many others.

 

I don't think any publisher opens and checks every copy of every deck they get printed. Remember the Bohemian Gothic with the random red ink bits ?

Happy days! 

Today l received from LoScarabeo my missing 4 coins card :dancing-cat: l don't envy them it must be quite a headache for them.  But they have done good.

Oh, good deal!

 

I probably should review my deck and make sure there aren't any missing cards.  I don't think there were, but it doesn't hurt to be careful.

Oh l would definitely go through your deck and make sure, quite a few of us had troubles with missing or double ups.

I am also waiting for my deck.  It has supposedly been sent out to me 3 times but I have yet to receive it.

I must look through my deck to check it is okay, I keep forgetting!

 

Fliz, according to their Kickstarter updates, all the final decks for Europe and USA/Canada aka as Shipment #3 went out before the 24th of April. There is one last dispatch shipment to Brazil, Asia and South Pacific area that was delayed. I suspect they decided to look through those decks before sending out as it was delayed to "quality control" and other people started returning their decks before that final shipment. That was about to go out at the end of April. It might be worth emailing them if you have received nothing until now, they seem to be really nice to deal with as a company.

They are famously nice. I bought my deck after the campaigns were over, so I sent them an email today just in case there were delays, complications (with the defective/incomplete decks) or in case my order was mislaid.

I already received a reply to my email! They explained that, as Daniel rightly suspected, they had to stop the deliveries for quality control due to the issues that have been discussed in the thread, and they are now finishing that process. We're all supposed to get our decks by the end of July at the latest. I can't wait!

Glad yours will be on the way soon, @FLizarraga. They were very good at sorting out my missing card for me. Great customer service.

Looks like I'll get two decks after all! 🤩 I received my first deck this week, but it was the deck only shrink wrapped in a delivery box, send by Llewellyn - no storage box, no book, no wax seal, etc. I contacted Lo Scarabeo and they said that a new full box set will be shipped to me!I verified the first deck and I have no missing cards, and no double. I'm so happy with their customer service! I'll keep the 2nd deck unopened I guess.

 

Love the cards! They are plasticky but looks marvelous! We needs to look at them as the "modern remake" of the original one. I also have the U.S. Games Systems (2017) edition for a more matte/vintage look, but they are far from being gorgeous as the Lo Scarabeo ones!

Well, I've gone through the first box of cards.  That took me awhile.  The good news is that all the cards are present.  

 

The bad news is that it looks like a beaver got at the tops and bottoms of the cards when it crossed into Canada.  😭 

All of the cards have bent edges, gnawed gilding, all different colours of backs, various marks/dents on the fronts and the backs of the cards as well as colour printing issues on some of the cards.  And the book has the first ream where it wasn't sewed in properly, so it's falling out at the bottom.    Is the deck still usable? Yeah, but it looks like it's already been WELL used by someone.   So, I'm disappointed in that.  

 

Other than that, the deck images are incredibly beautiful and the packaging is as well.  What a shame.  

Sigh, I'm so tired, I don't even want to open the second box.   😫

don't get discouraged just open that other box as well then note costumer service to replace it!:D

I'm sure now when they have *quality control this wont be an issue!:D & it's certainly easier for them to replace full deck than bother looking for missing cards!;) I can bet your replacement will arrive before my!xD (yes I'm THAT *negative about it!xD lol

Wow, that's terrible. I hope the upcoming Sola Busca isn't a mess!

Yeah. 😣 and thanks!  I've got my fingers crossed for you 🙂  I am hoping they learned from this experience.  I would have happily waited another year for a perfect product.
