My name is rixis. I joined this forum to connect to a community and deepen my knowledge of tarot, spirits, and crystals. Or just talk randomly about things. That's cool too.

I've picked up tarot again after not using it for about 6~7 years. Now I'm learning how to use it as a self healing tool anf a way to communicate with my guides or spirit rather than to predict the future. I feel more balanced and comfortable using it that way. Previously, I thought it was only for predicting the future and well things got hairy with using only my own and the deck's power. So that's why I stopped for a while.

I also started a business this year for my art and spirit jewelry. It's been slow but I found that it's because spirit it protecting me so I can get my ducks in a row. I communicate with a variety of spirits: animals, ancestors, and crystals. They help me with my jewelry design and art. I hope to expand into apparel one day too.

Nice to meet you all! Thank you for creating this community.

Hello @rixis welcome to the TT&M Family :animated-smileys-waving-065: Would love to see your art and spirit jewelry. You know that we have a section where you can promote yourself but you will have to have 5 posts. Hope to see you there soon 🙂

Hi @joy  I'm trying my best to get to five posts. I'm a bit introverted so it'll probably take me a bit longer to get there ^^ Thank you for the warm welcome.

No worries take your time 😉 You are not the only introvert here, so you are in good company 🙂

Hi and Welcome!

You could try playing a few rounds on the Tarot Whodunnit thread to get your 5 posts. It is a light-hearted way to interact if you're a bit a shy 🙂

Hello! Nice to meet you too. Is your name reference to your lineage? *curious*

I’m from the Nordic countries, so that’s where that part’s from! Thanks for asking! I’m curious about your name too!

In part, mine is a humourous reference though; to the Donald Duck series:

Scrooge McDuck is from Scotland, and has got a Lucky Dime, which was the first coin he ever earned, and which he believes holds magical/lucky properties. There’s a black-haired duck witch whom also believes that that is true, and it’s her number one goal in life to manage to steal it for herself! And she always fails! Her name is Magica De Spell...

I love letters and words and writing and reading, in a universal sense. To me, it’s always appeared as a most precious magic!

(And my first allure into a spiritual quest, back in the days, was all about trying to find proof that a magical realm exists. Complete with gnomes and stuff. 🙂 )

With the tarot, though, I’m finding correlations between what happens with energy within a spread, and what happens with it in a spell, and what happens with it in a written text. So; that’s part of it also.

Basically, I’m just a child at heart though, and it was this name or Breezy Flynosarous, as suggested by a name generator game. But I’m not very breezy, so it would have been a bit misleading. 🙂

How about yours? 🙂 💚

@Nordica De Spell THAT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS!!! I just started rewatching it and watched that episode! I didn't even realize XD In the US it's called Duck Tales since it revolves around Scrouge and his nephews.

Mine is from Skies of Arcadia. I loved that game so much and this is one of the names of the countries. You have a flying ship and sail the skies building your pirate crew and then (of course) take down the big bad government. The characters made me love the game so much. So I use this nickname because not many people know of the game so it's usually available. And I also remember the fun of sailing through the skies when I think about its meaning.

I could say the same about language. It's amazing how different people speak but I'm able to understand some of what they say if we both speak and listen with open hearts. I should try that with my tarot. I'm very focused when I read so I sometimes have trouble understanding what it says.

Do you only use tarot and spells? I ask because I never know the breadth of other's interests.

Oh, I didn’t know there was a tv series! Mine is from good old fashioned comic magazines! But I’ll check that out, with the Duck Tales! 🙂

With spells and such... I’m not a practitioner of ”ritualized classic magic spells.” So, I don’t really use the knowledge, that way...

Mainly, I’m just interested in life itself, you know... including its underlying energy properties and patterns. But, if I see a squirrel in the forest, I’m just as interested in that! (I’m easily distracted, lol)

So, I’d guess my position is, whenever we focus and direct energy it could of course be considered as spells, and because of how life is built, that’s unavoidable, even on a day to day basis. We do it when we talk, write, eat, sleep, push play on youtube...

So, I guess, I make reflections on our reality. 🙂 But I don’t use spells in the ordinary sense.

Skies of Arcadia sound like a great game! Is it a PC or a console game?

Back in the day, I loved Spyro the Dragon. (The first three ones for Playstation.) The background image on my profile page is from that game. 🙂

(When Insomniac Games sold him, that was the end of my gaming days. I tried for a bit with other games, but I never got that feeling again.)

Well, you said that you use the tarot for self-healing and spirit guide communication and stuff. Using the tarot as a tool for those things sound fun!

On the Spirituality part of this forum, @Raggydoll has posted a Soul Mapping idea. Maybe it’s your thing, maybe not, but it goes to show how much we can do with the cards! (I’m trying to do the soul mapping with my oracle decks 🙂 )

And unless I misinterpret, it sounds like you believe/feel that there’s a spirit in everything. I do, too! 🌻

Yes you should definitely watch the show! I forgot they had comic books too. The show was easier for me to access when I was little.

Oh that's an interesting and insightful approach! Definitely changes the day to day view too. I'll try that out myself ^^

You probably can play it on the PC now. It was a Dreamcast and maybe PlayStation or GameCube game. I had a Dreamcast so idk what other systems had it.

Yeah we think the same in that there's spirit in everything. Ooohhh I'll try that Soul Mapping thing. I've been using this 3 card spread (don't do this) (problem) (do this). It's super handy. Maybe you can try it with your Oracle cards too.

Dear rixis, I’m happy to let you know I’ve watched a Ducktales movie now! I haven’t found the series yet, but it’s a good start. 🙂

@Nordica De Spell Ah! The movie is awesome too! They have the series on Google play in the States. Maybe you can find a streaming site too.

You’re welcome! Tell me, are you Swedish like me? (You don’t have to reply if you rather not tell. Just ignore my nosy personality 😁)
