Matching Tarot And Oracle Decks?

Featured Replies

Does anyone happen to know if there are any matching Tarot and Oracle decks?

The Druid Plant Oracle and the Druid Animal Oracle go really nicely with the DruidCraft tarot. Same authors/artist/themes.

I just ordered the Druid Plant Oracle to go with the Druid Animal Oracle. I was using the Animal Oracle with the Wildwood and Greenman Tree Oracle.

The Green Wheel Oracle is good with the Greenwood, also the Greenwood with the Celtic Shaman's Pack. I use the Anieth Nature tarot in a more oracle way with any of the above.

I'm thinking of trying out the Froud Faerie Oracle with the Hidden Realm Tarot. I think they'd work together nicely.

Thank you @McFaire!  I just looked these up and they are lovely!

The artist Langustl, who was in Aeclectic Tarot Forum years ago, created both the Langustl Tarot and Langustl Lenormand in the same, energetic style. Pixie's Astounding Lenormand compliments the RWS because it's composed of cleverly collaged scenes from the original RWS. Lo Scarabeo's Tarot Art Nouveau and Art Nouveau Lenormand are created by the same artist, Antonella Castelli, in the same Alphonse Mucha-inspired style. Ciro Marchetti's tarot and Lenormands (and Kipper) are done in similar, complimentary styles. Emily Carding, now a theatre actress, created both the Transparent Tarot and Transparent Oracle in the same styles. Jasmine Becket-Griffith, who illustrated the Beautiful Creatures tarot, also created several other oracles (and another tarot deck) in the same babydoll style. There's several others but I can't seem to think of more at the moment.

Yes, I can see how those will complement the Wildwood.  The Greenman Tree Oracle is beautiful!  Love trees.

I see common themes and styles emerging.  This is very helpful.

I agree!  Those would be lovely together.  And very beautiful and interesting faces in the Hidden Realm.

Thanks so much @ilweran!  This gives me some nice ideas for combining Tarot and Oracle decks.

Thank you @BlueToy for these examples!  I’ve never read with Lenormand but that is good to know too, for future reference.

There is a Ceccoli tarot and Oracle deck, the Deviant moon deck is getting a sister Oracle deck if I'm remembering right, the wild unknown has a sister Oracle deck by the same creator, the beautiful creatures tarot works well with the Oracle decks by the same artist (Myths & Mermaids, I think theres a Halloween/Carnival one as well)...those are all I can think of at the moment

Most of my tarot decks had a matching Lenormand.

The Minute Deck has the Minute Lenormand. The Tarot Noir had me petite Lenormand Noir.

I made the Haunted Lenormand to pair with the All Hallows Tarot...but those two don't play well together.

Everything right now is sadly out of print... But I'm hoping to get new editions of at least two of them by the end of the year.

The Linestrider with the Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle and maybe the Scrying Ink Lenormand.

yes @Chronata's Minute Tarot and Lenormand read so beautifully together, they are the same size card and same style, so really match well 🙂

There isn't a tarot deck but the Mystical Lenormand and Mystical Kipper work really well together, the artwork is slightly different between the decks, like same artistic style but different images but they work together.

I think doing mixed readings is experimental and it's great to try any decks together to see how they work! Sometimes completely different decks work really well, I like contrasting rather than being similar in a reading, it gives a better message (in my experimenting with mixing it up 🙂 ).

Thank you, everyone, for your thoughtful suggestions.  I’m looking forward to researching them!

I mostly go for 'matching' decks, but contrast can be good too. Spirit Cats with the Greenwood for example (I love the Spirit Cats! Would use them with anything)

I had never considered using contrasting decks together. Very interesting idea!

I second Pixie's Astounding Lenormand with the RWS, but if you go that way, get the Centennial Edition in a tin. The tarot cards are similarly sized to the Lenormand cards and make a much less jarring visual impression when used in a joint spread. (Plus, both of them come in a tin if you like to carry them around with you.) I don't shuffle the decks together, but they work well in tandem on the table.

I think I would prefer similar-sized cards in a layout also.  Might be distracting otherwise.  Thanks for the suggestion!

I just have to share this combination of two of my absolute favorite decks. I’m actually inclined to call this my Soul combo: Stella’s tarot and the Inner compass oracle! ❤️

I trimmed my Stellas tarot so it is almost the same size as the Inner compass oracle. (I love mini decks!) Both decks are beautifully balanced with stunning pastelly artwork that contrasts the more dark and complex cards. I don’t know why I haven’t thought about combining these decks before, they feel like they were made for each other (and they read great together too!)

Top row on both pics is the Stella’s tarot (sadly OOP), bottom row is the Inner compass oracle (an indie deck by Heather Hoeps that is still available on Etsy).

That is indeed amazing they really seem to have been made for each other ❤️ Love the artwork on both those decks.

I consider this your trademark style of reading.  Totally Raggydoll! :bubble_blovekiss:

I do have a combination of the Antiquarin Tarot and the Divine Muses oracle.  The oracle deck is still in production I think but there will be a release.  I bought both books and decks and it was pricey for me but they are so worth it!  There also a Lenormand to the set but it has been sold out.  Maree is also here on this forum!  This is the website, the Divine Muses.

Those decks are up on my wish list. If only they were available on my side of the pond 😔

I knew you would! And then imagine them combined with the Sacred Heartsisters oracle.... 😍

Oh I didn't realize it was for this side only.  I am sorry to hear that.  :classic_sad:
