Lovely!  I am sure that having your own artwork on the wall will make you feel happy whenever you see it.

Without you all, I couldn't have done it. Still, collage is the medium for the art-shy. 😉

Great love your Empress! To make beautiful collages might sound/look easy but they are not! I highly respect people who can make them. It needs a good eye for the right balance and all.

ive missed a bit and cant catch up much right now, but I love your work on these collage cards @Nemia! The 3 of coins is so cool, with the coins popping out like that. It's also wonderful you've made a pair for your Emperor!

@geoxena I LOVE what you've shown of the Explorer of Water! That beach 1950's archetype almost reminds me of an old Archie comic or something. He's just having a good time with his hunnies, cruising some surf! I think it's great~

I finished my 5 of Fire! I have Dissociative Identity Disorder and one of my alters, who draws with pastels a lot, let me digitally cut up and edit their art to create the chaotic background. I think it ended up working for this card!

It works for me! I get the feeling that the figure is feeling completely bewildered and ungrounded and completely overwhelmed and it could read as both an internal feeling as well as an external conflict situation. Those pastels contain a LOT of fire!! (In the RWS it's clear that there is conflict in the 5W because the figures all appear to be fighting one another without it being clear who are allies and who are foes... I'm curious about how you see the 5 of fire. Is it more the aftermath of what happens when there's conflict?)

@Nemia I really like both your cards, and it's such a great idea to frame them and hang them up.

The first one is still my favorite.

I think I had a hazy dream about your wonderful Tower card.  Which version did you decide to send in?

Thank you, dear @Delta! I re-read this thread today, looked at the cards, and think it's great that we have such different styles. this going to be a great deck. Each card speaks with such a distinctive voice. I can't wait to read with it.

(and @Pen)

I think it is, like you said, an internal conflict! Underneath all this fire there is a haze of blue. I was experimenting with editing the colours and realized that the background looks as if the fire is layered over, masking, a blue core. And I realized that's a really good colour depiction of how I view this card. It's not really about the conflict itself, but that the conflict is happening at all. Something isn't aligning right, not matching up as it feels it should. We're struggling against the fire, trying to fight it off from our precious *blue*, but rather than fighting it we should really be asking why the fire is here at all, why does it feel so hostile, why is our reaction to it what it is?

Thank you for your interpretation Starlight, I really love how you see this piece and your curiosity!

7 of Water

Might need a few looks to 'get' this one... but let's just say that her imagination is more colourful than the reality! 😉

Interesting! But I get it! Did you depict one of your other cards as a painting on her wall?

Well spotted! Yes, it's the Ace of Water from my deck, which this is going to be in as well. There should be a lot of cross-references in the deck as a whole, but hopefully the card also makes complete sense on its own... which is why it's here.

Wowee, @Wanderer!

So, the color side is her imagination, which means she's actually sitting barefoot in a ruin?  Cool concept, executed extremely well!  Makes me want to know who she is.
