What are your thoughts on this deck? I don’t read much with oracles, but am recently feeling drawn to add them to my tarot readings. This one caught my eye. Pictures of how the cards will look with #, key word and  order are in the comments.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I enjoy oracles as a supplement.  If you are keen on the art and theme go for it. But be cautious if the creators have no prior experience.  I got burned on a tarot crowd funding once. I did not check status of this one.

Thank you. I do find the art interesting and think it provides elements that will make it readable for me. I’ll investigate the information further to see how far along she is in the process. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience once.

Though I am not of the witchy persuasion, that oracle does look very well done. Might have to back this one! Thanks for the heads-up, @FindYourSovereignty.

Yes, I am not either, but the art works for me. I backed it also. 😊

Too bad, it's such a Zen deck.

My feeling, too.

Lots of tarot decks on Kickstarter right now are using AI and several aren’t telling you that in the description. I’ve had to find out by asking or reading the comments where others have asked.

I just hope they'd be more transparent about this. My reservations about it are ethical - I know of digital artists who have axes to grind against graphics AI regarding fair use, copyright, etc. I think there's already a class action lawsuit against Midjourney at least?

Until this is satisfactorily settled and the rights of these artists are recognized and enforced, I'd like to know if any commercial art I wish to support is created via AI so that I may refrain from doing so.

Yes, I also want the deck creator to be upfront about it. I’d like to know what program they are using and where their content is sourced; and I also like knowing how the creator contributed to the artistic outcome. I am not sure how much, if at all, I want to support AI deck creation. There are plenty of tarot decks available.

Regardless, what I really wish with deck creation, is that the creator would share how the art is created period. I think those are the decks I like supporting the most.

If you had to discover that, and liked it before you found out - what difference does it actually make ? Srsly ?

Price - I wouldn't pay the same amount for the print of a painting as I would for the original piece of art.

Kelsey Showalter is doing a second printing of the truly amazing Prismatic Tarot:

This is an amazingly gorgeous deck, I highly recommend it. My edition is a linen cardstock, fairly flexible for easy shuffling, in a standard tuckbox. I am definitely getting a second copy, this was a workhorse deck for me for a while until I became concerned about wear.

Has anyone heard anything more about The Joker Tarot Lo Scarabeo?  All I've seen is their third announcement.  No email about expected time frame for sending the decks out or anything.  Just that they wanted to expand the book.  I do realize these things take time, but it's Lo Scarabeo!  They crank out decks like crazy.

It's my last tarot related purchase for a really long time and yes, I'm being impatient.

In the last update about expanding the book, they say....

"We are sending all the material to our manufacturer and we'll start production by the end of the month. At the moment we are starting to receive the first prototypes of the Add-Ons...."

There will be further updates but they have no printed estimated dates. Crowdfunders always seem about 2 to 3 months as the shortest timeframe 😃

Estimated delivery has been September 2023 since the day it was launched. You can see that in your pledge box.

Fortuna Tenebris is not looking good - and I didn't even back it - I BOUGHT it so I don't fall into the oh woe woe kickstarter  got too many backers group. I even offered to go pick mine up in the city where he lives.... No response to that one. Paypal wouldn't refund because it was over 90- days. We are all screwed, I bet.,

If shipping expense is his issue, why wouldn’t he let you pick it up? That was a generous offer, all things considered. As he actually shown videos of having the physical decks in hand? Maybe he doesn’t feel it is correct until the backers have theirs? But a reply to your email would be nice regardless. 😏

Edit to add: I see from other updates he says he is shipping to those that actually did buy from the site first Somali guess he doesn’t have a concern about the founders receiving their decks before yours. Others are also pushing for a pick-up option. I hope this comes to fruition for you.

The one time I lost all of my money on a KS was with a tarot deck.   I am extremely cautious in what I back in this genre of item. I need prior delivered KS, or no dice. Sorry you are experiencing this.
