I made this account a few weeks ago and never got around to introducing myself -_-. I'm Illyse, I started tarot roughly a year ago and have been slowly picking up classes here and there as well as decks that call to me. It's been a process, but the journey has been an appreciated distraction from the pandemic. I'm 23, she/her, from Louisiana I have a dog named Brutus, he is a Rottweiler mix that is mortally scared of flies. I am also always on the lookout for good lectures about tarot and reading circles, if you have any resources hit me up. The witchy circle is hella small down here I'm afraid.

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to Tarot. It all started when my best friend gifted me a Marseilles deck about three years ago. I also own a RWS deck. I mostly read for myself and my best friend, rarely for other friends. I have no experience reading for strangers. I also own two Lenormand decks. I do not own any physical books about Tarot or Lenormand, but I do have some e-books. Honestly I never had the time to thoroughly study any of them - school and work got in the way. Hello friends. I'm so happy to find a real life traditional forum 🙂 I was on Aeclectic for only a short while before it shut down and that was when I was dabbling with tarot. I'm back and really making some headway learning, so I'm excited to find this awesome forum to hang out with you guys. My favourite decks are ones that are rich in symbolism (e.g. Gilded Royale). There's so many that I have on my wishlist, but I'm trying to be tactical about which ones I buy. I can probably say the same for tarot books! Trying to really use the ones I have for now, and not just buy all the ones that look good. That's it for now! Looking forward to connecting.

I had several tarot decks and used to read for myself many years ago, and want to get back into it. I don’t consider myself very knowledgeable and I’m mostly here to learn.

I have been absent from the forum for quite some time and wanted to reintroduce myself. 🙂I have been working with cards for about 8 years now solely for myself as part of my spiritual practice. I tend to prefer tarot cards that with lots of detail as well as oracle decks. I have about 20 decks in total and am always looking for another deck to “join the family” 😉 I work with crystal energy as well as herbs and plants. Looking forward to being more active here! Got back into tarot after a hiatus of 15 years, and this time, I'm learning the card meanings card by card, one card a day, instead of referring to books everytime I do a reading for the meanings like last time. Restarted with a new tarot deck too, bought the US Games 100% Plastic RWS deck, for its durability. Being a fan of Cardcaptor Sakura, I really wanted to keep my tarot deck in a "storage book" like the Clow Book for Clow Cards. About two years ago, I attended an art history course and met this classmate. We quickly became friends and aided each other in studying for exams and such.
