Hi I'm new here. I've been practicing divination with tarot and playing cards for a about a year now. I'm still don't think I'm quite an expert on it but I've learned so much doing readings for myself and my friends. My username comes from looking up my birth cards and finding out that my cards are The Emperor and Death. BTW I know this is a sensitive subject but are we allowed to discuss predictions for politics here? I didn't see it in the rules but I enjoy doing readings for political figures. If it's against the rules I'll understand though.

I’m Tamra and am new to the Tarot world. It was like fate, how I was brought into this world (who knows I may have subconsciously manifested this myself). I was just lying down cuddling with my son on the couch watching YouTube (Just kids stuff he likes to watch) and dosed of and when I came back to in the wee hours of the morning, YouTube was playing videos of a tarot reading that really resonated with me and the next video was a “how to” on definition of cards and I just kept watching the videos that played until I looked at the time and 6 hours had gone by!!! Then I started research and I felt the calling to just learn everything my mind and soul can absorb. …

I am a 50+ year old tarot reader/teacher who had taken a long hiatus from the Internet (and too many other things) due to health and wellness issues. I'd been active in the AT community off and on but not when it closed down in 2017. A few weeks ago, I found myself re-energized to make tarot a core part of my life once more. I chose a new online name as part of the "rebirthing". Nothing nefarious, I'm just not the same person I was inside or outside a decade ago when I was most active at AT. Despite the crazy that is 2020 in general, I feel like I'm embarking on a very exciting path. It was with great delight that I discovered the existence of this forum tonigh…

I'm Nico (they/them), and I'm pretty new to tarot. I've been doing it for a year and a half and I'm super out of practice. Since quarantine happened, I haven't been able to do readings as much as I would like, and my experience was pretty limited when I started, so I'm hoping to learn some things from everyone! Most of my decks are from Kickstarter, with only one (soon to be two!) RWS deck and two others- one being an oracle deck with a loose basis on tarot, and the other completely removed from tarot structure entirely. I also have a set of oracle dice that I'm supposed to get soon that I'm hoping to remake to be more Aesthetic(tm). I'm big into DIY and crafts, and …

Hello everyone, I have studied Tarot for the last 7 years (on and off I must admit but I did always have the cards in mind). I have used Crowler's Thoth almost immediately and have not changed since. Being passionate about learning, I found there a perfect life-long learning subject. Funny enough, not that long ago I had a typical "scientism" mindset, no astrology nor tarot nonsense would even deserved my attention. But I slowly realised the power of the mind on the "external" world and a deep rooted need for spirituality emerged. So I started some heavy reading and had amazing experiences. Since then the study of the occult and the practice of div…

Hiii! I am 21 and I've been studying tarot for about 9 months now (almost 10). Less now, but I still do it because I loooove answers. Who doesn't? Even if it isnt a clear answer, at least i get AN answer that helps me out. I've avoided relationships that weren't needed thanks to it, and built some even more because of it (and astrology too, if you have any questions about that I can help, I've been learning about that since I was 17. I stopped because I know my whole chart pretty much and prefer to live life organically rather than through charts ^^ I feel like it develops my other sides, like intuition, and well astrology can create prejudices! it doesn't mean that…

I'm new, I registered last night and been lurking ever since 🙂 I got my first RWS deck about 6 years ago, because I wanted to try something a little more complex than my Piatnik gypsy cards. But it was too intimidating and it made me feel like I'm still too small to "play with the big girls", if you know what I mean, even though I was already in my mid-twenties. I stayed with my gypsy cards and angel decks for a very long time, until this year when my entire life turned upside-down career-wise and found myself with too much free time and too little to do, so I pulled my tarot deck out again. I managed to build a connection with it this time, but I struggle a l…

Hi everyone, I'm new! 😀 I started learning tarot about 5 years ago, with a Marseille deck. So far I still really like reading with non-illustrated pips, but I also like looking at illustrated decks. Since I'm so super new at tarot, I mostly read and take notes...definitely more a forum stalker than a talker. Looking forward to learning. And hopefully, to one day feeling confident enough to contribute.

Hi from Seattle, just purchased my first deck last week and curious about tarot! My interest in tarot comes and goes, my mom, when she's still around, really thought I have the talent to be a tarot reader and I don't see it at that time. But she passed away last year, and for some reason my tarot interest came back and now I'm willing to learn more. I'm a generally positive person, I'll take any input and would love to make new friends here! Excited to learn more!

Happy Equinox! It's finally cooling down here, in Savannah and I'm glad. Even though I didn't spend as much time as usual outside this summer (thanks COVID), it was still hot. I never know what to put in these things, I don't know what people want to know about me. I'm a pretty solitary person (despite being married and having a child), my activities include reading, arts & crafts, and television. I'm a Sagittarius, though I don't agree with everything it says I should be (spontaneity? no thanks) After spending most of my life with an interest in Tarot, I finally got a deck last week. I'm hoping it will give me some clarity on some things that …

Greetings from Brooklyn! I am SO happy to have found this place and I look forward to learning and sharing with all of you. A little bit about me and why I am here... I have been interested in Tarot for as long as I can remember but I never thought it could be for me because in my childhood mind it was only for psychics, of which I am not. That being said, also since childhood I have had a lot of, for lack of a better word, "activity" around me. You name it, it's happened (visual, auditory, tactile, things moving, etc) from energies/entities/spirits/whatever and the past three years or so it's been escalating to a, frankly, disturbing amount. I don't believe …

Hi there. This is gonna sound a little bit out there, but my name is Thomas Edward Waite. My father's name was Martin Edward Waite. His father was called George Edward Waite, and his father was called John Edward Waite. We have a tradition of giving the eldest son the middle name Edward. Why this is, no one has been able to tell me, but im sure there must be a reason. The family tree stops at John. There is not a lot of history been passed down orally between generations: my father Martin had an extremely distant relationship with his father George, and the relationship between George and John was even worse. It is my opinion that Arthur Edward Waite is my great great gr…

I'm AlbaTross, and I took up Tarot recently. I now own three decks (soon to be four) and am in the process of looking at good reference books. I started off by posting on Reddit, and that has been quite helpful (shoutout to anyone here who might be from r/tarot or r/SecularTarot). I figured it was high time I look for a dedicated forum though, and this community seems nice, so here I am. I look forward to getting to know all of you.
