Just saw this on Llewellyn's site http://www.llewellyn.com/blog/2018/6/mystical-faerie-gets-a-fresh-face/ They look great without the huge borders. Are the colours more saturated too? In some photos they look brighter, but in others they look the same as the original. I don't own this deck, but it's quite charming, isn't it? Probably nice to use for readings where the person is fearful of the tarot. I love how they're starting to realise that people want borderless decks. I do hope that they give the same treatment to the Mystic Dreamer someday ;D The art is so beautiful in that deck, but crammed into such a tiny space.

Looks like there is a new Alice in Wonderland-themed deck coming out next year: https://www.amazon.com/Tarot-Wonderland-Barbara-Moore/dp/0738746800/

Hello everyone This topic has actually been posted before, but when I tried to post in it, the forum suggested that I start a new topic, (because the original thread was started so long ago) so here I am. Short and sweet - What would your dream Tarot Deck be? (To see the original thread, click here) https://www.thetarotforum.com/tarot-decks/your-dream-tarot-deck/

Any suggestions for decks that are landscape-heavy (in terms of art, not orientation)? They don't have to be entirely free of people or completely pastoral as long as the overall focus is on the setting, if that makes sense. I've found a few so far that seem to fit the bill: Majestic Earth Tarot - JD Hildegard Hinkel Advaitarot - Jan Strube Location Tarot, Spirit of Place - Eugene Leong Linescape Tarot - Mate Horonumber Also wondering if there are any empty urban landscape tarot decks out there? Like the Tyldwick, but for cities?

Pre-orders for a reissue of the Gill Tarot are now available from US Games: https://www.usgamesinc.com/the-gill-tarot.html It looks like they should be available sometime later this month!

So I had thought the London Lore Tarot had only one print run that was long gone, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it looks like the deck is still available! It seems to be in stock for purchase here. It's been a while but I lived in London for a couple of years, so I love the idea of this deck.

This is a question that has been on my mind for some time. When you're reading with "happy" decks (bright colours, fun/cute imagery) do you feel like it skews your reading? Does it make things feel too optimistic or sort of pad out your answers? I've read with gloomier, "dark" decks before and I know it's possible to get pleasant and positive readings from them, but how easy would you say the opposite is? I'm curious.

I know, I know, tarot deck choices are just for you and you alone, but seriously, there is so much wonderful art, it is so hard to choose! I am wondering if any of you have had experience with these deck as to how they read, comparison to the RWS meanings, and your general reviews. These are the choices I am currently looking at: The Star Tarot (2017) Ostara Tarot (2017) Green Witch Tarot (2003) Are there any other decks that you like better which you might suggest? I am currently using the Shadowscapes Tarot and loving it! Thanks!

Hello, it's been a while since I've visited the forum, I've been busy lol. But I'm on a little quest and I think you folks can help. By large I mean larger than the standard size RWS or Lo Scarabeo/US Games decks. Something up to 6 inches long and 4 inches wide is the max of what I'm looking for, so not quite as huge as the Giant RWS or the Professional Universal Tarot. The main ones I've been seeing around are Wildwood Tarot, Druid Craft, and I believe the Guiardians of the Night tarot is also quite big and looks really nice. I would love to hear more suggestions for any large scale decks you have!

This professional-quality deck is a must for those who need their cards to stand up to heavy use. The larger cards make the details of the images easier to see, and the high-quality card stock ensures a long life. Containing all the elements of the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, this deck is perfect for professional readers, teachers, workshop leaders, and serious students. Readers will recognize familiar scenes while being delighted by the uncluttered adaptations and sophisticated use of color. The box measures 4.5in × 8in x 2.2in, so just imagine how big the cards are. I have the Golden Universal - maybe I should think about getting its big bro.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wilderwoventarot/the-wilderwoven-tarot a lovely nature based deck, happy to back it. Look close at the cards, I'm quite impressed at the silhouettes he chose to represent each card. Pledges are shown in Canadian dollars, the cost in other currency will be shown when you pledge, but before you click submit.

Is there such a deck? I keep envisioning the Major Arcana as one big painting following the path of the Fool. Am looking for a deck if you lay out all the MA cards on a table in, let's say, three or four rows, they will form one big picture in front of you. Just curious!

Just received an email from Carrie Mallon about this deck on Kickstarter. She collaborated with Annie Ruygt, the artist, to create this, The Spacious Tarot. The link is here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thespacioustarot/the-spacious-tarot

I know the creator has been working on this for a long time. I think she has a really unique artistic style. They had a failed Kickstarter previously but looks like this one is going much better!

Hi! I'm constantly on the lookout for new decks to try out, and I was wondering if folks might have some recommendations. The decks I use the most are Tarot of Vampyres and the Dreams of Gaia. I also like the Sacred Rebels Oracle. A friend recently linked me to the Weaver Tarot and Threads of Fate Oracle preorders (and my awesome mom saw me squee on FB and ordered me the Threads ssf Fate, eeee) which is part of what led me to think to seek out someplace to ask for recs. 🙂 I am doing a lot of spiritual work, including shadow work, that involves themes of the crossroads (like Hecate) or weaving dreams or reality (like Arachne or Arianrhod). I'm pretty open as far…

I find that I'm not connecting with Tarot like I used to, for a range of reasons that I won't clutter the post with, other than to say that in a sense I don't think the Tarot - or at least my decks, and I have many - have much to say about my life at the moment. (I mostly read just for myself). Have you encountered a deck that gave you a really fresh perspective on Tarot, or opened up your mind to new ideas or new questions, that got you out of a malaise?

While I was digging around about my latest obsession, the Engel Tarot, I came across this deck, the Watcher Angel Tarot. Is anyone familiar with this one? It sounds quite interesting, though the inspiration is something I really don't know anything about. From the shop description: "Together, the book and deck guide you in understanding the Watcher Angel Tarot. Explore the myth of the Watchers, angelic beings who abandoned heaven in pursuit of mortal love. Learn how their story, drawn from the Book of Enoch, inspired the Watcher Angel Tarot, a gorgeously illustrated deck which weaves a gripping narrative of the divine becoming human and the human becoming divine. With…

I recently acquired the Fairy Lights tarot and have done an introductory reading with it. After I drew cards and analyzed the reading I came across the following in the LWB: "Fantastical paintings were made with the intention of dividing each one into two cards. Each card has its own meaning and can be read on its own in the usual way. Place the cards side by side to blend the meanings into a new story, a way to expand upon the message of the tarot." I did a search on here and found people mentioning the deck, liking the deck, and saying that the pairs add value but didn't see anything about how people actually introduce them into readings. I'm jus…

I was wondering if anyone here ordered a Greenwood Tarot Handbook from Chesca Potter before she disappeared? If so could you let me know if it is different from what was made available on her website (and that now is available on Mi-Shells blog.) On her website it says: (source) I have searched fairly thoroughly online and can't find anything different to the apparently summarised version on her website.

This isn't about necessarily dark or spooky decks (although feel free to add those), but decks with cards that just creep you out. I know I will be adding to this list quickly, but first one that really sprang to mind GOLDEN TAROT OF THE RENAISSANCE. FOUND another one! BARBARA WALKER TAROT...where do I begin? I see why people like it, but I just feel like the whole deck has such a weird vibe, even some of the more benign cards. It's like the Twilight Zone, some things seeeeem normal....but aren't. And the things that seem off, are realllly off. Don't even remember exactly which card, but the one with the creepy guy in jockey shorts with kids dancing around…

Hello, hello ! I have been quiet for some time (because very busy in real life !) but I am glad to be back ! I recently had the opportunity to purchase the Tarot of Prague 1st edition - this deck I had on my wish list for years, but it was always very pricy on ebay (I even saw it listed for something like 2000 $ !!!! I doubt it ever sold for that price though, lol !) Anyway, it was one of these decks that I had kind of resolved myself to never get because of the price, and two weeks ago I saw it on ebay for a reasonable price... there were already a couple of bids on it... I placed a bid, thinking that it would be outbid in no time... I was so convinced to be outbi…

As the title says, I found a beautiful deck but can't find out what deck it is https://www.keen.com/articles/tarot/seven-of-wands-reversed-tarot-card Who knows what deck this is?

This is an own-voices project. It’s a unique deck based on southeast Asian myths and stories. They failed in their previous attempt to fund it on Kickstarter but they have launched a new campaign Go check it out!

https://noreahbrownfield.com/product/tarot-holy-light-tarot-deck-deluxe-size-edition/ Does anyone here own this deck? I'm very intrigued. It's beautiful and it seems as though studying it would give you quite an education in esoteric subjects. I'm betting that it would be necessary to buy the two books that go along with it as well.
