Tarot Decks

Just a question. I bought a black and white deck recently - just a little Chinese cheapie which looked cute and probably AI - and a review I later found said it was a knock-off copy of a coloured one called the Leisurely Cat Tarot. I found that on etsy - sold out - but I suspect that was also a knock-off as the etsy seller refers to a QR code on the box that doesn't work. I've looked all over and all I can find is that the artist MAY be called Irtush. Does ANYONE know who created it - or anything else about it ? Image of the coloured one clipped from etsy:

I really love RWS decks with original old images (eg Centennial Edition). But now I want to buy a deck with bright colors. I choose between Radiant and Universal decks (US Games). In the first, I like the colors and smoothness of the lines, but on it the faces of people are drawn a little differently from that of Pamela Colman Smith. The second is closer to the original, but not "radiant" enough. How do you like these two decks? What do you advise? And I know there is also a Radiant Wise Spirit deck (Lo Scarabeo), but its drawing lines are too rough.

Can we please talk animal decks? Tarot and/or Oracle decks - it's all good! I really like to use animal decks for many different purposes. And I seem to be drawn to decks that have a 'softer' energy to them. Generally I don't like decks that depict animals being wounded or killed (by other animals or by arrows or what not). I just don't feel that it adds anything, but that is just a personal thing. I thought I would start by sharing the decks that I have in my collection. The Tarot of the Cat People by Karen Kuykendall is one of my all-time favourite decks and the only one that has a permanent place on my work desk. I have always been intrigued by the frame story of the Outer Region, but the LWB only has minimal detail on that story. I know there is a companion book. Does anyone have it, who can tell me more about it? Most of the previews online show the pages with card meanings, but the LWB covers those quite well. I’m more interested in the story material. How substantial is it in the book?

Are there any decks that you forgot you even owned? Mine is Tarot of the Nymphs- I was going through my collection today, to complete my forum deck profile, and there it was! I don't think I've ever even read with it (it's a pretty deck, but it's pretty one note).

OMG I am so buying the Vampirella Tarot. It would be perfect for my vampire decks sub-collection. I know it looks quite sordid and immodest and brazen and the images don't seem to relate that well to their arcanum and it might very well be just a novelty deck but I don't care, I'm going to grab this deck like no one's business. I'm curious as to what the LWB is going to say, or if it's even going to have one. I also hope that it would have the Rose arcanum. I am trying so very hard but I'm not going to fanboy on this one. No I ain't. But she really is quite a vision isn't she? ❤ Absolutely breathtaking.

I recently bought a Lo Scarabeo deck, and this advertising card was included. However, I have no idea what deck this Fool image came from ...and I quite like it. Anybody got a clue? There was no reference to it on the advertising card itself.

Urban fantasy is not my usual aesthetic, but I've found myself craving it lately and unable to find decks that suit. I already have Lisa Sterle's Modern Witch deck, and the This Might Hurt tarot - both of which feel like they should be more urban fantasy-ish than they are. (At least to me, right now in this odd mood of mine.) I love the Neon Moon tarot, but it has a more sci-fi than fantasy vibe. Lo Scarabeo's Teen Witch tarot is pretty much what I'm going for, I think. Also the Numinous Tarot, which I absolutely adore! Basically, looking for decks which have modern-looking people, but are also magical or witchy - does anyone have any recommendations?

I didn't find any thread about this deck only. I like this deck a lot. I just found out that their first edition (regular size) has been sold out. Therr will be a new edition, arriving within a month. The very good thing is that it will be silk matte lamination (1st ed had matte lamination). So, I was digging around through my Tarot decks tonight and found the box set of the Anna K Tarot!!! :o Apparently I had bought this at some point from our used-book store and put it away then forgot about it. I kind of remember buying it, but don't remember exactly when I did. I was really excited, it was like receiving a gift for no particular reason. Guess what deck I'll be using for next weeks DotW! This was really cool! So, has this happened to you? What deck did you squirrel away then discover later?

As the title says! I'm a huge herpetology and ornithology nerd and I would be fascinated to find more decks featuring these animals. Birds seem to be commonly featured in decks, I specifically have my eye on the Crow tarot because they're my favorite birds! But reptiles I don't see so much. I would love to see a deck full of snakes, lizards, turtles, geckos, all the reptiles! As for birds, I'm amazed that an Audubon oracle does not seem to exist yet. Perhaps I should make my own. I know there's a set of Audubon playing cards that I could easily convert into an oracle! There's also the Wingspan board game that comes with beautiful cards but I don't fancy buying the w…

Hi, I just signed up. Let me introduce myself, I'm a fan of tarot and oracles combined with each other. This is my list of the 54 decks of cards I've found so far, maybe I'll expand it in the future. Some combinations can be augmented with additional decks, just search online. I think this could be useful, I would like to buy several but for now I only have a few. My collection is growing, I really believe that combining oracles with tarot is a great way of divination... List follows in next post!
