I am unsure of where in the world it would be best to post the following, or who to have this conversation with safely to ensure its moral honesty and integrity. While I have recently read the comments posted during December of 2018 in this community forum relating to the issue of The Greenwood Tarot, and appreciate that the topic had been closed to further replies by the monitor at the time, I cannot conscientiously hold the story of The Greenwood in silence while there is renewed threat of printing and continued confusion. My hope is that the heart of The Greenwood is released, and if Chesca sees the following, her heart is warmed, and all threads of light be blessed!…

Not sure if this is already known, but I just noticed that USGames has the CBD Tarot de Marseille available for pre-order, to ship late November. I’ve been looking forward to adding this one to my collection and am happy to see it available again after the sad and unexpected passing of its creator, Yoav Ben-Dov, in December last year.

I bought the Dreams of Gaia tarot, and WOW the artwork is beautiful. But the structure of it is so different that I feel intimidated by it. Anyone else have thoughts on this deck?

Hi guys! I'm new here, and I have seen some readers use a smaller card pack that they call clarifier cards. It's the same Rider deck but the cards are smaller. What is this deck and do you use one like when one card's meaning is not clear and you want it to be further clarified or something along those lines...

I was looking for a nice, affordable, and aesthetically appealing Wirth deck when I stumbled upon the Rosenkreuzer Wirth Tarot: Golden Deluxe Edition by German publisher Aurinina Verlag. I was a bit sad at first, since it seemed like it's only going to be available to our European friends. I smiled a bit when I looked it up in Book Depository and it was listed as available for Pre-order (tho it's for around 9 months). It's also currently listed in various non-US Amazon sites tho it's pegged as Currently Unavailable. Hope still springs eternal. :) So, does anybody know anything about this deck? Btw it seems like a companion book is also available tho it's in German. …

I always think it’s a bad sign when Tarot decks are advertised or their boxes only show Major Arcana Cards. I like illustrated pips. When they don’t show any pips I have to research the deck to see if the minors are more RWS or TDM. Most of the time when the box or ad don’t show minors they are not illustrated minors. This, I think, is a bit of cheat. I respect tarot artists, but I guess it’s just easier to have a collection of the four suit items than to make a scene with them. I’m not good at reading Tarot Of Marseilles style cards—ones that only show a grouping of cups, swords, coins, or rods. I bought a very expensive deck in December that had beautiful major…

There is a number of decks in my collection that I don't read with, that I don't completely understand, that would require a lot of work to get into - but I don't want to get rid of them. I hold on to them in the hope that one day, I'll kick my own lazy ass, dig into the deck and start working with it. These decks interest and somehow fascinate me, yet I never really get into them. One of these decks is the Tarot of the Holy Grail for me. The Grail story is interesting, and the deck is very beautiful. The book is intriguing, but I can only read it in small instalments, then my brain shuts off. Has anyone successfully worked with this…

I just stumbled across the Wormweird Tarot on AT's decks list. I'm wondering if anyone here has this deck (or has even physically seen it)? I ask because I see it available here & there, but scans of the cards other than on AT's deck list aren't the best. I'm wondering if the images on the cards are clear and sharp and, kind of, how the card stock is? And if you have any other thoughts, I'm definitely interested to hear ...

This is a really neat looking indie deck: https://www.wollymight.com/tarot. Despite the "sold out" next to the holographic version, the creator has said that there are apparently a few copies left. You might want to confirm with her before ordering one though!

Just wanted to give a shout out for this black and white deck by Trisha Leigh Shufelt called The Poe Tarot https://schifferbooks.com/products/the-poe-tarot Just gifted to me, and I'm enjoying the vibe, and the introduction to more of Poe's writing, although I'm not a student of Poe's work and so this may be old hat to some Available in the UK via "The Tarot Shop" or perhaps your local High Street like me? I haven't read with it yet - it has to get in the queue(!) but certainly a interesting deck if you like B&W, or quirky, or Poe, or cats (there's a whole suit for you!) PathWalker

Hello friends, whom I have been ignoring for at least months... don't think it is years. I think of TDM as my home base, especially a Conver version. And I've finally managed to make some progress with Thoth. But lately, I find myself going back to good ol' RWS... RWS has been my daily driver for a while. I have dozens of great TDM decks... I have not dozens, but tens (?) of mind-blowing art decks. I don't have a great RWS deck. I have ones I like, I have ones that talk to me.. but not one that makes me (and it, I hope) feel special and spiffy. They're all mass market. So.... FINALLY! The point of…

I just saw tonight that Dame Darcy has the pre-order up for the 3rd edition of the Mermaid Tarot. This may have been up for a while, but since we are on a new forum, and since I know a lot of ATers love this deck, I thought I would create a thread. :) Apologies for the messy link; I couldn't figure out a way to make it neater. https://www.etsy.com/listing/483030739/pre-order-dame-darcy-mermaid-tarot?gpla=1&gao=0&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_-art_and_collectibles-free&utm_custom1=c59d5692-faba-4401-8653-5a9535057161&gclid=CjwKCAjwuITNBRBFEiwA9N9YEEVtfGnN7BrvLhGR6H8VA4YTXrVy6sGt6XWtS0_C9yyonIhJk5YWCBoC5aoQAvD_BwE

Per an email announcement from Sarah Wheatley: http://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/AsherahTarot I'm so tempted by this. There's both a large size and a poker size.

FYI tarot collectors of limited decks.... Grail Graphics in NZ discovered a secret stash of Aura Soma Tarot cards with bottle backs hidden in a forgotten display stand and there is a limited supply of less than 20 left. Selling for $98 NZD. There will be no more of this tarot produced with bottle backs, so if you want one that has the bottles, I suggest you pick one up now. I ordered my copy along with the book, and also ordered a copy of the Aura Soma handbook from a UK site so that I can understand the colour system and learn more about that as well. grail dot co dot nz

I never thought I would regret buying any deck, but I regret having paid what I paid for this: The cards and the booklet are good quality. The cards are big, but I really think this was a waste of money. Have you regretted any purchases this year?

Here is a heads up that Ellen Lorenzi-Prince has decided to move on to new projects and let her two really popular tarot decks go out of print. Beth at Little Red Tarot has stocked up on the last available decks and as of now there are still some left. So if you have been contemplating purchasing either of these two decks then don't wait any longer! You can read more about it here: https://littleredtarot.com/tarot-of-the-crone-dark-goddess-tarot-to-be-discontinued/

Has anyone heard of Tarocco Studio? I'd love to hear if anyone has purchased any of his decks. I've tried searching here and on another forum, but haven't come across much info. https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TaroccoStudio?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=524297556§ion_id=1 There are several tarot and lenormand decks available. They look beautiful, but I want to see what others think before I hit the 'buy now' button😄. Thank you! 🙂

Just a heads up that the pre-orders are open for the watercolour edition. Mythical Creatures I missed out on the monochrome version and I’m looking forward to this one. The production seems to be of a very high standard again.

I have the 2019. I was wondering of those of you who have the 2004 and 2019 pocket, any difference in cardstock type?

So, I only just now caught this, but it looks like Nell Latimer is doing a second edition, or second version, of the Commonplace Tarot: https://twitter.com/LatimerNell/status/1289694021686898688 I am *beyond* thrilled to find this out; I love woodcut style decks, but I was sad to see Commonplace wasn't print to bleed. The deck imagery was sparse and evocative in precisely the way I love. She's heard that feedback and looking to rectify it, as well as write a booklet. \o/

A couple of creators I've been following on IG are close to releasing some truly lovely decks from Russia: Tarot of Salt and Water by Лера Квасова, https://www.instagram.com/tv/Cdc0cN_FaGo/ Spoiler Those last two pics are of her test print run, so this one is due out in a few weeks it would seem. I've asked her about how to order it and will report back. Next up, Tarot of the Solar Kingdom by Просто Таня, https://www.instagram.com/mimimitani/ This one might be a few more months out; I love the folk style: Spoiler …

Note: This thread applies ONLY to authentic decks ... "cheap" meaning mass market or sale prices from reputable vendors. It does NOT include counterfeits [which is a different topic] So I am getting a LOT of use from my $20 Devine Deco deck. It has crappy card stock and a crap box ... but I LOVE the deck. I have 2 copies of RWS Centennial Edition in a tin which I use all the time. I bought 10 of them on super sale when they were $11 each and gave all away as gifts except for the last 2 which I kept and use frequently. I have a similar mini RWS indie deck which was $40. The indie deck is borderless which I like but honestly they read about the same $1…

Recently I got this old deck from 1970s. I used to have the deck about 15 year ago. In fact they were so cheap and abundant for sale, I had a few of them. But one day, I sold all of them because they didn't speak to me very well I felt. I didn't have the deck for at least 10+ years. Recently, I suddenly missed the deck, and wanted to read with it. I got one in good price, and it arrived a few days ago. It was like feeling of reuniting with an old friend whom I haven't seen for long time. Which deck was it? It was the SWISS 1JJ deck. It seems to be reading and speaking to me a lot better this time. I put it on the desk with the other …
