Hello, everyone What are your favorite decks to use when you want a brutally honest, no-nonsense reading? Mine is the Lo Scarabeo Celtic Tarot. That deck does not sugarcoat anything; in fact, its messages tend to be a bit harsh - which is good for when I really need to know the truth about something, even if I don't want to hear it!

Hi there, I just backed the Majestic Earth Tarot on Kickstarter: It's from the creator of the Tarot of Delphi and I love the art-work she chose for the cards. I would imagine this is going to be funded pretty soon :)

I would dearly love to have a scan of the cover art with the pumpkin head figure, please oh please? https://atticcartomancy.com/cards/ I am using it this week on my blog and that cover is so much more interesting than the black standard size deck.

I searched all over AT, and came across a "link" for the deck but it was a broken link. This is the only community deck I participated in and I wish I had the files but I don't. This was a deck that was requested by and created for user Kittaine for their 18th birthday. It was a community deck. I had a different username back then, and my contribution was the 5 of Wands iirc. I'm hoping someone might have it here. 🤞 Thanks for any help!

Recently I read a comment about new-agey decks. For some reasons I can't imagine what this shall be. Could you help me out and mention some decks you would consider to be new-agey? There is a slightly negative undertone I read out in connection with the word "new-agey". I know that this must sound very naive to ask such a question, but though I read definitions of "new age" I can't get the term right.

Hey all! I need help picking a deck So far I have been working with RWS clones- The Robin Wood tarot is my main one the Llywellyn Tarot is my 2nd one- I have recently bonded with her and started getting nice results. I am looking to slightly broaden my horizons and start moving away from the pure clones- However, so far once a card doesn't fit the original meaning It baffles me - however I do want to move past it by finding a deck which is a comfortable transition- having some elements from the RWS while moving a bit away from it in a not aggressive way. Things I like: Nature themes Mythology- mostly nature oriented/ fantasy - but not over the top.…

Hello I was just looking to find the Lo Scarabeo Rider waite deck the older version not the up-dated one, i think the older version fonts are stunning the newer decks are only going to be available for the next year. As i was searching i came across this deck on Amazon - Tarot black and gold with some details below Discover a deck with a whole new approach to color and design with the Black & Gold Tarot. Based on the pictorial key of the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith tarot and printed with elegant gold-foil details, this deck makes for a breathtaking tableau as the cards are laid out in a spread. Whether you are a reader or a collector, you will realize fresh…

One recent Tarot deck that has gone unnoticed, and unjustifiably so, in my opinion, is that of the surrealist artist Maurice Baskine, Le Tarot de la Conscience [The Tarot of Consciousness]. This was recently rediscovered and published in France, along with Baskine’s text as a LWB. (There are a few pictures online, but not many.) Baskine had a strong interest in alchemy, astrology and Jewish mysticism, notably, and also produced some illustrations for André Breton’s Arcane 17, a work itself inspired by the Tarot. At the time, his deck and the manuscript for his booklet were favourably mentioned by a number of prominent writers, and we find the following praise …

So- this is the deck I almost didn't get. You know that deck- the one you mull over, talk yourself out of, buy 3 other decks, then mull some more. Yes- that was this deck. I had a ton of reasons, the first being that the art style just isn't my typical love. I usually can't get into decks that look like this- usually my real working decks are ones that started out on canvas/paper- not computer. And the imagery was kind of strange on some of the cards- am I really going to like it or is this another wasted purchase? Let me buy 3 more I really don't love- that'll be the best plan. I know I can't be the only one here! Finally, I just took the plunge- bought it, t…

I have a friend who wants to get into tarot and wants an Angel deck. I do not have any Angel Tarot decks, but want to point her in the right direction of a good Angel Tarot deck for beginners. If there is one with a good companion book all the better. I would appreciate any help you guys could provide me on this.

So, got my first tarot deck & picked based on my visual interest. Inciatory Golden Dawn Tarot deck. i searched about Golden Dawn & felt i probably bit more than i can chew? there's heavy simbolism in e/card and i think the inicial GD had a strong Cábala inlfuence of which i know nothing about. i also read some bad critics about this particular deck for the imagery of the naked women & that some drawings didn't make sense. so, the deck is there not being used (i haven't even cleanse them yet) what are your opinions about this deck if any?

EVER had a deck that the cardstock was the deal breaker? You liked the deck, maybe loved it, but either were afraid to shuffle it or had trouble shuffling? I just had one that the cardstock was the deal breaker for me and I thought it was a GREAT deck. The Star Tarot by Cathy McClelland. The original Majors deck. BEAUTIFUL and, while the cards are HUGE, not what made me move it along. In fact, they were so gorgeous in the large size. The cardstock was pulling apart along the edges and that was just me going through them a few times and LOOKING at them, not shuffling. It would never had stood up to being a reading deck for me.

I just finished doing something I threatened to do a while back when I first got the deck and used it for a deck of the week. Backing up: I always had the idea of creating a haiku tarot using recognized haiku masterworks. But someone has beat me to it, and it’s so much better than I was projecting in my mind. It’s Tarot of Japanese Poetry by Irina Ilyina & V. ad Veritatum, published by NYIV Deluxe Cards Ltd. It has a booklet with a poem (not all exactly haiku, but mostly) for each card. The cards illustrate the poem (rather than RWS scenes) with lovely Japanese-style art. The suits are seasons. It adds a princess and “day before” for ea…

Does anyone have this deck? I love the look of art decks but I've always avoided them as I try to get decks that are readable (for me) rather than just for collection, but this one really called to me. Oh my! Where to I start? This deck gives me the most amazing readings, which is surprising as I prefer busy decks. I don't know what it is about it, but it opens my intuition and just reads so smoothly and gives me an additional perspective. I don't usually discuss cardstock, but dang it's so lovely and heavy, the gilding is beautiful and it shuffles so beautifully. I have a deck with thin cardstock and I'm perfectly happy with it, but this feels so beaut…

The Tarot of the Cat People by Karen Kuykendall is one of my all-time favourite decks and the only one that has a permanent place on my work desk. I have always been intrigued by the frame story of the Outer Region, but the LWB only has minimal detail on that story. I know there is a companion book. Does anyone have it, who can tell me more about it? Most of the previews online show the pages with card meanings, but the LWB covers those quite well. I’m more interested in the story material. How substantial is it in the book?

What do you think about Uusi decks? Which ones are your favorite and which ones do you work with extensively? I have looked at a few of them and I agree with the general consensus: they are unbelievably alluring and oh so exquisite. The production values of their decks are on par with the very best Tarot houses too. The only quip that I've read of was that a few think that their decks have an ice queen thing going on. Like they're gorgeous and physically faultless and all that, but tho they can be very accurate, they seem to be remote and quite difficult to bond with. Is this true in your case? So yeah, what are your experiences with Uusi decks? Would you recomme…
