To qualify I'm asking about decks you bought from say, 5-15 years ago when they were trendier or new that you still use regularly. What has kept your interest, has anything changed in how you perceive the deck? What about decks you may have jumped on the bandwagon with that lost your interest? What was it that made you not maintain a "relationship" with those cards? I'm going to name the Anna K. Tarot and the Lunatic Tarot as two that I've 'stayed with.' The Anna K. has become like a homey old friend, honest, comfortable without being overly cute or dressed up, the cards are a nice size and easy to use - it's almost completely replaced the Morgan Greer for fr…

John Bauer (1882-1918) was one of the most appreciated Swedish artists and illustrators of the early XX century. His artwork, contemporary to those of Pamela “Pixie” Smith, brought to life a world of sweet and dark myth and folklore, where fairytales blend with pre-raphaelite imfluences. John Bauer died at the age of 36 in the Lake Vättern, in his beloved Sweden. 78 full colored cards & instructions

I've been waiting for the Ethereal Visions Tarot for quite some time. Lo Scarabeo has (with a few exceptions) mastered the art of making metallic decks. Does anyone know if this is the very first deck US Games created that has gold foil on the very images themselves? Looking at the pics, it looks like foil and not just gold ink. If only for this, Imma get this baby. :)) It is now available for pre-order, and is scheduled for an April 2018 release.

Any suggestions for decks that are landscape-heavy (in terms of art, not orientation)? They don't have to be entirely free of people or completely pastoral as long as the overall focus is on the setting, if that makes sense. I've found a few so far that seem to fit the bill: Majestic Earth Tarot - JD Hildegard Hinkel Advaitarot - Jan Strube Location Tarot, Spirit of Place - Eugene Leong Linescape Tarot - Mate Horonumber Also wondering if there are any empty urban landscape tarot decks out there? Like the Tyldwick, but for cities?

Another gothic masterpiece from Luis Royo, published by Heraclio Fournier. This tarot is based upon the artwork of the Malefic Time graphic novel series. Malefic Time is a fantasy universe where humanity is not alone in creation: there are other creatures, called in many ways over the years, now known as Celestials and Fallen. These are the manifestations of the superstitions and mythological beliefs of different cultures around the world. These creatures are of immense power have been influencing us, manipulating us and waging a war against each other. 78 full colour cards and instructions

So - erotic decks. Which ones do you have in your collection? Which are your favorites and why? Which do you enjoy working with, and which ones did you immediately trade away? The discussions here might become a bit explicit. If some readers do not like nudity in their decks, I fully respect that, but it may be advisable to skip this thread. In any case, we're all adults here, and this thread is NOT meant to be prurient. Sexual imagery, symbolism, and arechetypes have been part of even the more celebrated Tarot decks like the Thoth for example so I personally don't find anything objectionable about them. Erotic decks are just a more explicit manifestation of this …

Have you guys seen this deck? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rosehillenart/dia-de-muertos-tarot-deck It's a Day of the Dead-themed tarot created by a Filipino woman. Besides being absolutely gorgeous, in my opinion, it's the only DotD-themed deck I know of created by someone who comes from a culture that DotD actually belongs to. (Are there more? If there are more, I definitely want to know about them!) There's only a couple more days left of the campaign, and I'd so love to see it get funded!

I just got a notification for this kickstarter in my email. While some of the decks might be in the public domain, how is this not 100+ copyright violations? Did he really purchase licensing from all those people, as he claims he did, before the project was even funded? If you recognize decks by living artists, the right thing to do would be to let them know about this.

I've got a new craze going and for once it isn't an expensive one. Gold Foil Decks! I bought one just for the heck of it and then I got impressed with it. No harm done, eh? Guess again! Now I have four of them of different styles. I've become a gold foil deck buying monster. Now that I've caught on that there are different styles, I know not where this obsession is going to end. There's even a PINK gold foil deck. When I cruised past it over and over again, my thought was-----no, not any use even looking closely at that one. I figured it was some hokey, ghastly ,childish, uber Barbie pink thing and I'm not into that. Then I looked more c…

This professional-quality deck is a must for those who need their cards to stand up to heavy use. The larger cards make the details of the images easier to see, and the high-quality card stock ensures a long life. Containing all the elements of the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, this deck is perfect for professional readers, teachers, workshop leaders, and serious students. Readers will recognize familiar scenes while being delighted by the uncluttered adaptations and sophisticated use of color. The box measures 4.5in × 8in x 2.2in, so just imagine how big the cards are. I have the Golden Universal - maybe I should think about getting its big bro.

I wanted to post a picture as an exemplar, but I guess I'm limited to text, but that will work as well. If any of you have never had the opportunity to hand draw a Tarot set, I would highly recommend the project for two main reasons: 1- the sheer magic of hand drawing the arcanes is phenominal. 2- you quickly realize that store bought Tarot sets have countless printing and symbol errors. A lot of the commercial Tarot sets, when looked at with scrutiny, fall short in quality control and that is disappointing. Has anyone on this forum had this experience?

Following the great success of the New Vision Tarot and the After Tarot, this is the third volume of the Trilogy: the Before Tarot. The traditional images of Tarot are now portrayed a few moments “before” they happened. Each of the Arcana opens a wholly new window into our understanding of the cards, adding a time dimension to what we see and know. The kit includes a 160-page book is written by renowned American writer and Tarot expert Corrine Kenner.

The Barbara Walker in a Tin is new to me. I have an old Barbara Walker somewhere but I never paid any attention to it. I do have some questions, though, and with the condition of my eyes right now, I can't read the little booklet very well. First question: Is this deck a Thoth clone? I see she's named her minors similarly to Thoth but using different yet similar key words. Second question: This isn't really a question. Just a tentative observation by me. This seems to be a deck dealing with the Sacred Feminine and I like that. Am I right that it is? I'm finding that getting some new decks is actually adding a r…

I'll freely confess, though I love the art on their Tarot de Marseille, I work much better with an RWS, so I'd always held out hope they would do one. And, they are! I have the Seventh Sphere Lenormand, which I love. I'm looking forward to this as well.
