A thread for those who would like to work through their collection of decks, participants choose decks from their collections to work with for the week. Some use one deck, some use two. Some combine methods: Tarot, non-tarot (e.g. oracle), playing cards, or any other divinatory method is welcome. All we ask is that you use at least one tarot or oracle deck.

No collection is too large or too small. The only rules we have are the Tarot, Tea & Me Rules; be respectful of one other. Please join us!

  • Please post with your chosen deck for the week.
  • Chat away about your deck, how you're finding it (or not), etc., it's all up to you.
  • Participants may either choose to share their readings here in this discussion thread or opt to have their own journal in the Journals Forum and link it here.
  • Yet others may even have an offline journal in paper & pencil/pen form.

Share as often, as much, or as little as you like. You can drop in and out at anytime—reality and life permitting. New to tarot? Long time reader? Come on in.

This coming week I'll be working with the Osho Zen Tarot. Thinking of reading with its complementary oracles in the following weeks.

This week I am here with another new deck: the Spiritsong Tarot from Paulina Cassidy.

I do like the soft color pallet and the images are all Animals.

The keywords are a bit on the "sweet and positive side", but since I know my Tarot I can still put things into the right light.

I already did 2 readings with it about quite a conundrum we are currently facing and both readings turned out helpful and true to the situation I asked about.

The 5 of Air and the 10 of Air were bang on!!

I'll work with the magical, gorgeous Lonely Dreamer Tarot - I love Odilon Redon's artwork and haven't worked with this deck at all since I got it.

Hi crew!  I’m missing my “primary” deck that I haven’t used for a while now, and I feel like I’m losing my pip reading skills, so it’s Budapest Tarot this week.  Along with the Spirit de la Lune daily cards.

First an interview to see if Budapest missed me!

Majors and coins!

Most important characteristic:  Tower

Either it’s angry with me!  Or it blows away my need to use other decks.

Strength:  Temperance

It has the best of both worlds, historical and fun and quirky.

Weakness:  10 Coins

It points out that I have too many decks!  When all I really need is it!

What deck can teach me:  Page of Coins

I should go back to being a beginner with reading pips and historical decks.  Maybe dig them all out from the collection and let them surround me.

How can I learn it?  6 Coins

And give some away.  Or give some non-historicals away.  And be generous in my sharing how to read with pips.  Teaching is the best way of learning.

Outcome of our work together:  Chariot

All will turn out well.  I’ll move forward in my tarot work toward victory.  With help from fellow tarotists in the chariot.

Now the daily, day 14:

17. Waxing Gibbous, fire, Connect

What do I need to know about connecting?  Three cards no positions.

Magician, Ace of Coins, Fool

More majors and coins!

If I really want to connect, I need to do the work on myself (Magician), then do the connecting thing I need to do (ace) in the real world (coin) and then let go of any attachment to the outcome.  Whatever happens that I can’t control I can’t control, so go along with that.  It might just be something good that I haven’t thought of yet!  Or it might be an unpleasant learning experience.  But I’ll have to wait and see!

Powerful reading.  See, this deck comes through with some deep stuff even as it delights me!

I had the Spiritsong as a member of my "one species per card tarot" collection.  I look forward to seeing it in action this week!  In case anyone is interested, here's a list of keywords and animals for each card.

@Bodhiseed, that looks simply amazing.

I'm going to sign up this week using the Queer Tarot which I got recently.

I'm using it for working through Mary K. Greer's Tarot for Your Self. I've done my Tarot Profile in the beginning of the book and these are my cards. I love the bright colours and the inclusive imagery of people.1862438415_TarotProfileCards.thumb.jpg.6483c464e195cec49cfe9f40ba3f8d75.jpg

This week I'll be using the Herbcrafter's Tarot, created through the combined efforts of Joanna Powell Colbert and Latisha Guthrie. The set is published by U.S. Games. Paired with it will be the Green Wheel Oracle, created and self-published by Danielle Barlow. Today's draws are the High Priestess and Toad:

high%20priestess.jpg  toad.jpg

JPC's card shows an unfinished mugwort dream pillow. Though mostly used today in moxibustion by Chinese acupuncturists, it has in times past been burned or smoked to promote vivid dreams. Dreams allow the mind's content to slip past the censorship of the ego. Researchers believe that the purpose of dreams is to take the sting ('this is personal') out of painful emotional experiences so that we can learn from them and move on. Toad represents justice and balance; Barlow suggests its appearance means we've received a powerful call. This might mean we must confront ourselves - our own attitude and actions. However,  it could point to a need to stand up for imbalances or injustices in our community. Rather than taking the shape of shame or hatred, it can just be a clear, unadorned exchange of information.

I have several times made a poor choice by avoiding a necessary confrontation.

Still just want to use The Wandering Star Tarot, so it's a deck of the month at this point. Did finally find the Guidebook to my Spirit de la Lune though so I'm joining @Rachelcat with it this week

This happens to me too @Scarlet Woodland. Four DoW's is still DoW IMHO!

My first pull from this lovely oracle is a bit of a fitting symbol; ekstasis is akin to a sparking synapse --- but within the spirit.

Already loving how these two decks work together.

Wow, cool!  I really like the art of the Spirit de la Lune, and the keywords and spreads too!  I enjoyed seeing what you do with it!

And here's mine for today:  A strong one!
