That blue bag on the left of the top shelf of the altar... that's a tarot deck.

😍😍😍.

At the foot of my bed my favourite decks are within reach. The ones in open plastic containers are the current deck I may be looking at weekly, and

Tarot/Oracle daily, weekly, monthly draws that I put on my magnetic display board on the wall. There's a "go bag" in the corner - grab, stuff appropriate decks & paraphernalia in, and go... to a Tarot meet, or to read for someone etc.

Can't post pictures yet, but my space is basically a wooden table with a scented candle, a place to burn incense and a few crystals. Combined with decorations that suit the season, so right now there are autumn and Halloween themed items there.

I'm only on page two so far, but I love looking at the divination spaces!  @Court de Gébelin Are all your guitars/ukuleles different?  Some of them look exactly the same, your space is my favorite, but I mean... its cause all the guitars :classic_laugh:

Here is mine! I'm pretty nontraditional and go for things that are personally meaningful. I might have a glass of wine, small food offering or candle or incense burning depending on my mood or what's going on.

I love the symbolism of the Dr. Who present here.  I have a few geeky items on my focus space as well.

It seems I have three spaces to share with you:

A.) My Focus / Altar

B.) My tarot Collection Space ( cabinet)

C.) My reading area for myself and clients.

All I can post tonight is my Focus, which is in dire need of dusting.    I do not read here, as this wooden chest is on the floor and would be quite uncomfortable.  This is where things of importance are kept, my intentions documented, and a few needed tools exist.  Normally my Athame / working dagger is in the wine box, but is out for completions sake.

The decks in the front row in velvet, boxes and leather case are all extra duplicates. I use them to display a card or two of importance when I've done  reading that I need to keep close in my headspace.  Purely display decks, I'm a nerd that way.  Yet they can be viewed for a long while, without interrupting my reading packs.  Left to right they are: Tarot of Shadows, Thoth (German pressing), RWS pocket (Centennial), Tarot of the Secret Forest, and the Darkness of Light tarot.  Not pictured but awaiting a case or proper holder is a Deviant Moon my son gave me.

All of the items are very personal; some gifted, found or made, and the Ouroboros necklace  along with the Athame are favorites.  Quite a few trinkets and elements are tucked away in all the containers as well.  I have more trading card game display stands if I wish to prop up more than one tarot card at a time.

I'm so glad I revisited this thread, as It has brought back some focus and reflection to, well my Focus.

@Wyrdkiss I have that same carved wood deck box on the right of your photo. 😒 It houses my Centennial Edition RWS full size.

Gosh! What a lot of very beautiful and energetic altars.

This may sound a little weird, but my husband and I have made our whole home an altar. Gridded with crystals and stones, plants, art work and makings. Even our garden has evolved into one! Our main altar space is our bedroom, as that is where I do my solo meditating, drumming and circle work, away from distractions.

A common but reliable sturdy box!

I love his sentiment and application of your home in its entirity. Well done.

OK, nothing fancy here, but next up is the top of a book shelf behind my reading table.  These are my client decks, my working rotations.  They are all in the pouches / tarot cases. disregard the deck boxes propped up; they are just nice (and empty) boxes I have on display. All of those decks are for my personal use, and are in cases / velvet bags, etc.  The hand-illustrated and signed Deviant Moon is not opened of course!

Left --> Right decks are Darkness of Light, Llewellyn Tarot ( I may be using this dually for myself and others, we'll see). Center is the Deck of the Bastard with Keywords from TarotbySeven. The small case is a trimmed travel Thoth, and the last is my client Thoth full size. I also have a RWS, not pictured, that I may use with clients. I like the tradition of the RWS, but I'm hesitant as many people, myself included, just find the pack, "ok."

books on the shelf are all easy-to-grab tarot / magick type selections.

Do any of you separate out the decks you read for others from the ones you use yourself?

No. I use the same decks for myself and others, they’re all stored in the same place.

1) Ooh - with keywords 🙂.

I have the 2nd edition with my name on the back and it's waterproof (for the bath 🙃). I wanted the 3rd ed - The Red Deck, but couldn't afford it at the time  - and - was absolutely horrified to discover she re-release it once and I missed the memo. Sigh.

2) Yes - I do have some 2nd copies and some specific decks to read for others. Though I don't always use them.

Water resistant bath time tarot. You, my unknown friend, are amazing.

A painful story about my Red Deck from TB7.  I wasn't fully feeling it, and I wanted a Valenza rare deck that, although not in perfect  shape, was being offered by a trader on Facebook.  I expected cash to make up the difference, as my Red was worth more. She was low on funds, could not afford it, and really really wanted it. So I traded it to her, including the limited case, straight and even at a considerable loss.

A week later it was up on Facebook for trade, because people suck sometimes.

Sorry you missed the reprint.

But I digress. Picture of my reading table and display coming soon, and enjoy the weekend tarot time @Tanga

Here is my reading space, in a room that also holds my records and books.   I do not invite clients into my home often,  most of my readings here are personal, so the wax-stained, sage-burned blue velvet just feels right.  If someone visits for a reading, I can swap out for a nice purple velvet drape.

Side note -- the folding table I'm reading on is one of the best investments I've ever made for my event sessions. It's crazy sturdy, light, and was affordable.  Hit me up if you want the amazon link, should you be in need of one.

EEeewwwwww!  Horror!

🤯😵😬

Yes- bath time Tarot... got that idea on one of these forums.  I've just bought a new bath tray and figured out the best place to hang it when not in use.  I am looking forward to it.

I pre-ordered my copy of Arcana 78 that is being released this week at the London Tarot Conference - and asked if a waterproof version might be available at some point.  We shall see 🤞.

I do more or less. It's not a rigid --but I  find certain decks I use only for myself.  I have a group of about 10 decks that are my go-to client decks. Some of those client decks I also use for myself. The client decks include my RWS decks and sometimes I just want to read myself with good ol RWS.  I seldom use my pip decks with clients so find I use those more for myself. Likewise my Triunfi della Luna. Some decks are too dark for clients but suit me for shadow work.

I love your space and the photo of PCS. I also use a blue velvet cloth sometimes but mine is more teal. I like that your folding table is round! I see clients in my living room. My house is so small I have no place to store even a folding table, so I have a big Moroccan tray I put over my little coffee table and read on that. Then the tray just rolls back to where I stash it next to my desk until I need it again.

Thank you for the feedback @Misterei.

Last but not least, here is my tarot cabinet. It's near my round reading table.  Along with journals the top and first row are working decks of various sorts, and the bottom more collectibles and  empty boxes only, although a few of them get used as well from time to time.

Slowly but surely, I'm starting to not always remember which deck is where, so I need to contemplate that on an organization level.  Please excuse the odd reflection on the right, I think I had a journal on the floor.  And that's a warp - my Altar - Focus, my client deck shelf, my table, and this case.

I'm slowly adding all my decks to Libib, along with all tarot books.

Seeing as I can share images now: here's my (very random) space. It's essentially a little reading/movie spot in my room (I sit on the floor across of the couch when I do readings), but my deck and the notebook are always there. Right now, there is also Halloween/autumn decoration. The jar of (old inedible) almonds is for holding incense. And the stones in the back are on a cool piece of wood that I once found.

The plushies, lava lamp and lightning lamp (don't know what it's called) are just there because I like them and had no other place to put them...
