I've always thought that any Heavy Metal pieces could suit the Chariot!

Posted

Oooh I love this!

Last year was a year of much change and difficult lessons for me-- so naturally I got 10 of swords, 8 of swords, death and so on.

This one song in particular moves me when thinking about the need to transform from old ideas/habits and so on that no longer benefit me:

"I ask that you make room on the killing floor" "Move your body from this place, move your body to heaven"

Sounds odd maybe but something I try to embrace now-- birth/death cycles, release of the old!

5 of Pentacles for me is absolutely Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah

oh this is such a powerful thought! Totally changing my view of 5 of pentacles right now.

I think maybe on the upside of the Devil-- as a release from repression (letting loose but not too excess perhaps!) Concrete Blonde's Bloodletting feels like a good fit:

The SUN :

Oh Robert Smith (when lighthearted) is so fitting for the sun!

Gotta add to this with "high"

This was one of this glimpsy instances where you see something and something else pops up in your mind.

So, here I want to give "The Fool from Marseille" a song.

Actually, when listening and watching the official video, I thought it to be a far better fit than anticipated!

The "video" below has no video, but the quality of the sound is superior.

Sadly, I could not find one with the lyrics translated, but well, his speech is way more easy to understand than that of others from the same genre 😉

I have to say, though, How does one shrink that window below!?

On my system, double tap the picture, video link, etc. and a window will pop up that allows resizing.  (I don’t know much, but maybe pop-ups need to be allowed.)

I think the Youtube embedded box is taking all the width of the post in the desktop forum view, so it shows as LARGE videos, rather than small box

we will look into it further 🙂

On the note of addiction, of having a turbulent river cross where freedom only resides on the other side.   This song strikes me, and lyrics are in the video. I'm thinking the 7 or 8 of cups in the Thoth, namely Debauch (also below).

And the card itself:

@MuninnMissinHuginn, @DanielJUK,

Wow, Thank You, I must confess, I did not expect a reply -

The double-tap thingy usually works on my system, too.

But this YT-window really seems to 'want it all'.

I tried several approaches - doubleclick, right click, marking and pulling the cursor, marking and changing size of script - all to no avail.

Another 'Thankyou', this time in advance, for looking into it!

😊

8 of Cups = Schala's Theme

This haunting song from Chrono Trigger makes me think of the sadness of leaving everything behind.  In the story of Schala, she was a powerful, but gentle princess who accidentally destroyed her kingdom.  In the end, she is trapped--all alone.  She had to deal with deep sadness and guilt, so she left everything she had behind.

The card is from the Tarot of the Divine.

Yasunori Mitsuda plays all the instruments in this song.

King of Wands - King of Kings

This card from the Children of Litha deck evokes fire and strength.  The king in the song is merciless but in the time of war, he would prevail with the strength of the lion.

Motorhead performs the song.

Ace of Cups = Groove is in the Heart

This ace is from the Trippin' Waite deck.  I think the song title says it all about this card.  Degroovy! :dancing-cat:

Deee-Lite performs the song.

8 of Swords = Never Be Mine

Ana K Tarot

I love this song representing the 8 of Swords because of the two voices.  She could be recalling conversations with someone who put her into the state the card depicts, or she put herself there because of the conversation.  The dreamy quality of the song also adds a touch of surrealism to the image.  The second person in the image also lends to how this card is perceived, is she looking at herself imprisoned or at someone she has imprisoned?

Sofia Jimenez sings the song.

The Devil = Stay

When I look at the devil card, the song Stay by Shakespeare's Sister comes to mind.  It is the struggle within when dealing with temptation or addiction.  Stay can also be interpreted as Stop.

I love this song!  It deals with many of the anxious thoughts that go through our heads at 3 am.

Rev Theory performs the song.
