because I love the book Stockholm Octavo and it costs only 5 $. However, the postage to Sweden was 24$ !!!!! That's crazy!

 

EDIT: However.. if I switched the other deck (minimum order is 10 bucks) to one that weights 0.25 instead of 0,5 the postage went down to 15 bucks. Now that's a better deal. So now the wait for the postman begins😄 I have wanted them since I read the book last summer.

Coming soon to Kickstarter, the Ian Miller tarot. This artist is famous for his work in the fictional gaming Warhammer universe. With an ethereal and foreboding style, he will likely produce one hell of a tarot deck.

Who owns the True Black tarot?  Can anyone attest to the feel and readability of the deck? I am attempting (ahem) to only purchase working decks.

The fact that it deserves to be owned on quality and aesthetics alone is undeniable.

one word of warning, although I'm definitely getting it. The creator has stated, due to the limitation of modifying his art, that it is intended for collectors and people playing traditonal tarot games (although I don't now a soul who does so, although he is from the UK). so know you are getting something amazing in art but may be difficult to read with, aside from perhaps separating out the major arcana, which would work I think as a side draw.

@Wyrdkiss do you have any specific questions re: the True Black? It's a gorgeous deck to handle and feel. It's a little bit difficult to shuffle and the cards sometimes stick together still, which is confusing because the cards are so thick they sometimes feel like two cards anyway. But none of that really matters to me, and it's a great deck to read with. the imagery is very invigorating and it comes with a great guide book that clarifies some of the more confusing/non-intuitive cards very nicely.

I don't think I have specific questions, and this was the, "enabling" feedback I was looking for. On my high want wish list, thank you.

Generally I never come on the Enabling Thread (all-singing, all-dancing, and all! lol).

Well, but it happened something!... Actually I have been very harsh lately with regard to a deck (the Psycards!) I had in the past, long story short, I de-enabled this deck (horrible card stock that's true!). But a bit after that I realized as well that I was having some very good results with this deck, so I bought it again, not the one that is currently sold but an older edition (by US games), and the card stock is really good!!

 

I tried to use this deck in the past on AT on a thread with guinea pigs and for the two sitters I thought I made some mistakes in reading my cards I realized later that the sitters were both in denial and that my cards were right! Sometimes in a thread people can say "Oh no it's not that, it doesn't fit I don't feel it" and all, but some weeks after you can as well read some other posts saying that they were in denial concerning the situation they were living.

So, De-Enabling> Enabling!

That's happened to me like twice, where I didn't go with my gut, and thought "maybe that card wasn't supposed to be reversed, it'll make more sense THIS way" only to then later in the week go "holy crap no, it was supposed to be reversed, I get it now".  I feel you.   You know it's kinda weird, I really don't like that many Tarot decks!  I just don't vibe with most that I see, so I went looking for a deck I really love, cause I wanted to play too 😬!!!  LOL  I really did find one I like ALOT!  I started feeling a connection as soon as I saw them but I just feel that I could spend my 20 bucks on better things.... that is... unless you all can talk me into it!!!  The deck I speak of is the TAROT MUCHA!!

 

 

What do you guys think?  Will it complete me?  🤔

I haven't the Tarot Mucha, but it looks fine! Actually if you love it the connection will be there, and you'll have good results with it in my opinion.

But with a deck you don't like (or not enough) I'm not sure the connection will be there, even if you try hard to like it more.

Honestly with all the choices now with regard to decks of cards, tarot or oracle decks, it's not necessary to try to like more a deck you don't really like, it's just a waste of time (and money)!

Just my 2 cents though! 🙂

Yeah I'm hoping that won't be true with the prisma visions deck, but it's looking like it might be.  It's like I do like the artwork, but I didn't notice how dark it all was and I find that a lot of the cards are so busy there's not much for me to pull from intuition wise.  However I feel I haven't really given it the true benefit of the doubt yet, I basically bought it because it was 7 bucks free shipping on amazon and I liked the display picture they provided lol  I should have actually researched the individual cards and thought a little harder about it.  This one though I really looked through, and yeah it feels right straight away.  To me it looks just as mysterious and magical as I would expect a tarot deck to look if this was the deck used by merlin himself or the great wise oracle from a movie or something hehe.  A lot of decks I just find too modern or not balanced with the masculine/feminine energies, (I would have liked Mystic Mondays more if it didn't depict ONLY women in the pip cards)  so yeah.... it may be worth it to just get this deck, so I can have one that truly speaks to me right off the bat, so far my one deck like that is druidcraft and I'd like to at least have two decks to choose from that I know I really love.

My partner's first deck was Mucha and he loves his enough he hasn't bothered to get another...I even "forced" the Bohemian Gothic on him and he still favours this one XD

 

It is a very attractive deck, very elegant imo.

ALRIGHT YOU'VE TWISTED MY ARM I'LL GET THE DECK!!! Lololol j\k  No I really do still want the mucha deck, but I ended up getting "Ethereal Visions" instead.  It's also by Matt Hughes (I THINK they are both by him... not positive...) and it's very similar in it's artwork and energy, but I feel it's a little more... I dunno it just spoke to me even more.  That's cool that your friend is so pleased with his mucha deck though!  I definitely want to work with it someday!

Ethereal Visions is the only Tarot deck Matt's done. The Mucha is by one of the LS artists, I don't know which.

Ooooo I've never seen that deck but now I'm totally curious!  I'm gonna look it up right now...

Ok that is straight up Johnny Depp in that lovers card LOL...  But yeah that's not really the kind of gothic I'm into, I'm more into like a tim burton/invader zim/comic book kind of gothic?  If that makes sense?  But that deck definitely had some thick vibes going on so if it fits your style go for it!  

And yeah for me it's not pride but I won't let my wife use my decks.  It's like... I dunno it just feels like only my energy needs to go into them, it'd be like letting someone else play on my pokemon account, I'd be all "YOU EVOLVED MY PIKACHU???  BUT HE WAS MEANT TO STAY CUTE FOREVAHHH!!!!"  And stuff...
