More Kickstarter decks for your thoughts

yeah I guess $40 ($45 retail) + $35 ($40 retail) + $30 ($35 retail) + $30 ($35 retail) + $30 ($35 retail) = Total for all: $165 or $190 retail

Early Bird Box Set Price (and it's so cute!) = $150 if you get in early and grab it, or $165 which is the same as buying each item at the Kickstarter price

Beware the strong $ dollar exchange rate at the moment! 🙂 ❤️

It's not easy to get the Green Glyphs decks outside of North America, I don't think they would be hard to sell at all. Especially to the European market, hardly anyone imports it here for us 😞

Wow really? I had no idea! Well in that case. Now I need to see what KS extras I got but never use (always a lot of those with Eads' KSes).

I think tarot.nl has it - but they're the only shop I can think of, and before I found them I spent like a year hunting the Cosma Visions 😭 so yeah, I don't think selling the duplicate should be very hard!

WOW thanks for that store link !

Looks like the Early Bird pricing on the Boxed set of the Green Glyphs collection is good for 3 days (rather than N backers) so no hurry for anyone wanting to think that over. He's steamrolling his way to the goal, I bet he's there by 11am local time.

And the postage to the UK means - nope !

Have you seen these folks? Tarot coins, for casting on the go.

This business completed a KS already, so I have a bit more faith in the project than average.

If I keep my pledge, that is.

What are your thoughts on these? Would you use them?

Updating on the Green Glyphs Kickstarter,

it has gone over the goal, I think you were right with your prediction @Niobium. In the email they talked about getting in quick for the Boxset Early Bird price but it was a few days in, not by number. Anyway that ended yesterday.

I have looked for the Lenormand in the UK. That is a good link shop idea @Rori. @gregory has helped me look for it here and I found reference to old social media posts that Watkins Books had some stock when it came out but didn't respond to either of us asking them.  It's not easy to get here and from his own shop is expensive for us!

The postage is so much to the UK from the KS, it's $35 for the first deck plus $5 per deck you add. I am thinking of getting the Tarot and Lenormand decks. In the text, they say they tried to find the best deal for international postage and managed to knock $20 off the costs subsidising it, but still it's a lot! American friends have sent me stuff for cheaper than that and I have bought decks with cheaper delivery. But then it's tricky to get the decks here. I decided I am going to think it over and decide. I could also get stung by customs for tax on it if I am really unlucky. I just sent a deck to gregory and the weight of the deck and amount of cards does put you in more expensive price bands. But still it seems to be the price of another of the Glyph decks! I have some weeks to think it over and if it's worth it or just too much 🙂 .

The Kickstarter ends on the 2nd November and money will be taken then

They will ship in June 2023

Hey @DanielJUK yes I hear you loud and clear. If a 'private' person ships it is always cheaper. I guess 'company/business' just add a bit to cover their costs for bringing it to the post office etc. And Green Glyphs was inclusive some sort of insurance. Which of course is good! The best would be, if someone travels to the US and brings it back to you.

Arthur Wang is at it again!

For those who wanted a light-themed variant of True Black, here it is--Ephemere Tarot. KS will launch 10/13 at 8pm EDT (I know he says EST but the US is still on DST and will be until November, so unless he's in some weird part of the East Coast, that should be EDT).

I've said this of the True Black before, and I'll say it again:  it is the best quality deck and best value, dollar for dollar, of anything in my rather extensive collection. It is rally damn nice. I'll be keeping an eye on this one too.

There's a "new" Bobby Alexander deck on KS.  It says it's a complete redesign of the deck, but nowhere in the writeup does it say what is different about it.  I'd love it if he would show more of the thought process of matching the images with what he feels the card meanings are, and I'd love to know if more thoughtful images were part of the redesign.  I just don't understand how it's redesigned, and I'm not convinced that it is.

It's great. BUT - postage from USA means I almost certainly won't....

Austin Osman Spare Tarot

Have we mentioned this one here?

Quite niche I admit, but I found it fascinating and as I've only bought one other deck this year (I fear I may be unwell LOL) will happily pledge this one.

**AIR HORN**

It's live and the cheapest option ($60) has already sold out. I snagged the next cheapest!

And, another one that I'm considering:

It looks cute, not sure about functionality though. Pending.

And I can only get it to the UK if I buy two - never mind the awful postage. I don't even have to consider it ! Sad but saves money.

I *think* Little Red Tarot tends to carry his decks so hopefully that can make it a bit easier for you to get it, should you opt to do so.

@gregory An update on that:

UK backers can pre-order through my Etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1311963638/ephemere-pre-order-uk-only

I've heard a lot of feedback about how I'm handling UK shipping and I'd like to give a very big thanks to Ang for bringing this to my attention, and of course a very big apology to my UK supporters for having stressed them about the possible options available. I hope this helps streamline things and I'm sorry for not having done more research on other workarounds to the Brexit issue.

As a heads-up, you'll likely notice the deck is a lot more expensive on Etsy; this is because of the automatically added VAT.

It is of course still quite expensive, but in case this helps you or anyone else.

Thanks. I may well - BUT - the Yokai Yocki went that route - and etsy was all out in seconds !

The good news here is this is a pre-order that best as I can tell isn't as strictly limited. At least, it's still purchaseble from the link right now. But completely understandable given the monetary givens. x.x
